Spells Exam

"Alright you girls are up first. Three different spells, three different situations. Make sure to use them at appropriate times. These spells I gave you for this exam will only work according to the situation given to you.

I will let Miss Claire here to overwatch the test as I will judge it by the end of your run. You can do up to three runs. But I wouldn't suggest doing all three, because usually your first run would be sufficient enough for a pass.

Don't sweat it, just have fun doing your best out there. Miss Sylve you're up first. Also a reminder that not all test attempts are gonna be the same so good luck." Miss Ivy gives a few words of wisdom and motivation as they begin.

I watch from a far as Sylve steps into the special zone made by Miss Ivy for the exam. Seems like this is gonna be interesting how they would do in their respective specialties. I wanna know where Sylve positions herself at.

The exam begins where Sylve gets surrounded by enemies and starts out with attack spells. She's pretty average at best when attacking. Though not overwhelmed she can handle her own in a pretty much one sided situation. Strength is decent in terms of my opinion.

Next up is a sudden surprise with Sylve fighting alongside allies in a team battle. Seems like she excels in this regard. Supporting their strongest ally in that situation is beneficial but she follows up with a wide range support towards everyone else so no one would theoretically get left behind in terms of performance.

Finally a sudden fall back from her allies in a losing battle. She tries her best to do damage control on the injured teammates. She struggles a bit on this side of the tests by the overwhelming number of injured allies being overwhelming for her. Which ends her tests after a few minutes.

Panting she left the zone more tired than usual. I guess this is a first for her to be in a high tension, high level of performance out in the field.

"How did I do Miss Ivy?" Asked the tired Sylve.

"You'll learn the results later once the other girls finish on their exams." Miss Ivy replied.

"Okay then I'll rest for now." Sylve sits down by the nearby resting area.

What a performance show from Sylve. I can see her becoming a supportive mage out in the field if she fights out there that is.

"Impressive skill if I tell you. A bit rough around the edges but overall impressive." Miss Claire nodded as she looked at the grading sheet.

"Next up, Miss Mia you're next for this test. Good luck." Miss Ivy gives her regards and begins Mia's test.

Mia was immediately shown to defend a stronghold. She keeps everyone on the defending side heals as much as possible. This should have been a test of support but she used her magic in this way so this makes it interesting. Her test lasted for quite a long time.

After a few minutes she successfully defended the stronghold and was transferred to another place where she was tasked to handle the injured. This is where she shines now.

Handling multiple injured allies within a short distance quickens the recovery and simultaneously heals everyone around her which shortens the time needed to heal one person. After 2 minutes she already cleared up half of the injured allies and was quick to handle the situation.

As very much expected she is very much better at handling the injured than making others injured. Not surprising considering how she acts around people. Then again I am kinda underestimating her

But that doesn't stop me from thinking Mia might be bigger than she thinks. Her final test today is gonna be about offensive attacks. And here we see her struggle, but not without a fight. She uses as much of her magic to try and push back the enemy.

Enough to be out conscious but not dead. Which is okay since her target is to just make enemies unable to fight back via means of non-lethal techniques. And I guess she does it well for her nature.

Soon after she finishes as well as tired as Sylve and she sits down with her.

"Great work out there Miss Mia. I wasn't expecting such a performance from you." Miss Ivy praised Mia.

"Nice quick thinking there Mia." Miss Claire wrote down some of the remarks on her clipboard.

"Alright next to the testing zone is Miss Hailey. You're up, good luck." Miss Ivy showed her some faith on this test.

I know Hailey is knowledgeable on attacks at least. She was very good at using the pistols they developed a week ago. Let's see how she stacks up from the rest in terms of capabilities.

Test begins with defense as its first subject. Hailey uses barrier magic to push back the enemy attack gaining ground and reinforces the barrier once she was at an advantageous position. Impressive that she uses tactics like that.

Surprising considering she's just a normal mage. She probably learned how to use magic more effectively by reading those archive records. That and she adapted to the situation she fits in. Damn she's seriously good.

And that was just defending her ground. Next up was a surprising one, supporting her allies to do a siege from behind enemy lines. She focuses on mostly her best troops while giving out some supplemental buffs and heals on her rear members.

Hailey might be more than just a basic mage from the looks of it. Soon after a few seconds into the siege she manages to successfully take out the enemy camp. After that she gets transported to the front lines.

Time for her to go on the offensive, face on, hands up, and use magic directly to the enemy's faces. This time it was a surprise since she started to slip up from time to time. I guess without the experience of fighting other mages.

She struggles on this side of the coin. Combat experience is still the best way to make her improve upon her already superb showing of skill and talent. I should be worried that if she becomes an enemy of the country she might be powerful enough to equal me.

Thankfully she's on our side.

"What an impressive performance from the club's president herself." Miss Ivy gives her praises to such an eye opener performance from Hailey.

"Alright Hailey great job you can rest now." Miss Claire wrote down her verdict on her clipboard.

"For the last student Miss Elizabeth, time to step up onto the testing room. And good luck!" Miss Ivy cheered on the side as she began the test.

Now's the moment of Elizabeth possibly showing her actual talent in terms of magic. It would be best to learn how she would fare against some super tough competition in terms of showing skill and talent.

And… Something was really off. Hailey performed super badly. On all of the three tests, she was forced to forfeit two of them. Might have been she's not yet super used to being unshackled for the most part.

Hailey shows the most poor performance out there. And yet she looks the most exhausted of the bunch. That says something right there. She has poor endurance, which is probably the best answer to her problem.

Considering she's not used to her powers being unshackled for the most part. WIthout limiters magic can overwhelm the human body accelerating the loss of energy for the day. Making the person extremely tired and exhausted from the simplest things.

The test ended and Elizabeth looked like she needed to catch her breath really hard.

"You did your best out there Miss Elizabeth. Girls in a short few moments I'll give the verdict for your first test then we proceed with Miss Beatrix's test. Now go have your break, you all deserve it." Miss Ivy gave her announcement followed by Miss Clarie to discuss the verdicts for their first test.

Elizabeth looked gloomy after just that first test. And the rest of us surrounded her to be comforted.

"There, there Elizabeth, you probably just weren't used to the pressure of the exam." Sylve stroked Elizabeth's long hair.

"Eli don't be sad I don't want you to be depressed. Mia will hug you!" Mia as what she said gave Elizabeth a good hug which helps to at least improve her mood after that.

"I wanna know what went wrong with your run. That was just super odd that you performed like that out there." Hailey brainstorms beside Elizabeth.

I gave my message by giving her a hug and a pat in the head as actions help better than words for the most part. Is what I believe in that is. It was strange that Elizabeth performed extremely badly for that run.

Something was off… Not in a bad way probably from Elizabeth's side directly. She's probably bothered by something. I know it's not normal to be performing like that, especially in ideal conditions.

Thanks for picking up this new chapter!
