Kronos: Levelling In The World Of Magic

In the pulsating realm of Gaia, where mana flowed through every being like a sweet, enchanting river, Arthur Cumore stood out as the lone exception. In a world ruled by magicians and wizards, he lived freely despite lacking the mystical touch of magic. Cast away by his parents, Arthur embraced a life that forced him into the role of an orphan, a reality he couldn't escape. Devoid of the ability to wield mana, Arthur found himself worth less than the carcass of the lowliest beast, its remains fetching a higher price than his mere existence. Yet, in the face of adversity, his struggles only fueled his determination. As he navigated the twists and turns that could break even the mightiest, Arthur refused to succumb to the lowest point of his life. Unyielding, he pursued the one thing that brought him solace – knowledge of the continent, Agrazeel. In the dynamic tapestry of Agrazeel, a continent drowning in pride, wars, and hierarchies, Arthur defied expectations. He became the first of the homeless, an exceptional status that couldn't be savored for long. Life led him to a temple, a fateful encounter awaiting him with an entity shrouded in mystery: Kronosia, a being above the very Gods and Goddesses of Agrazeel. Thus begins the odyssey of a perceived "trash" that would make even the divine weep tears of blood. In a world of wizards, emperors, and knights, Arthur Cumore's journey unfolds – a journey where he rises from the depths, conquering all, and bringing the mighty to their knees. Amidst the seven wizard towers ruled by the Wizard Kings of the time and seven orders devoted to the seven gods, the Agrazeel continent of Gaia will serve as the stage for Arthur's electrifying conquest. This is not just the story of a man; this is the epic saga of Arthur Cumore, a tale that defies destiny and shakes the very foundations of Gaia.

The inevitable death is brewing furiously!

Arthur looked back momentarily to take a last look at the moon's enchanting presence.

"What? How did I miss that?" Arthur mumbled with a stupefied look as right under the moon there was a building.

He too had seen many buildings in Gaia, but the one under the moon was weirdly different.

'That must be how the buildings of this world look like. I must have missed them on my way here.' Arthur said and he was right. Till now his eyes had been fixed on Goliath's back and before that, his shadow.

Arthur looked at the countdown on the heaven's eye and turned his head back at the man in front of him.

"If we didn't turn, maybe I could have rested in that place." Thinking about the lonely building in the desolate place and the thought of losing the only chance of staying in it for rest, Arthur couldn't help but feel dolorous.

While Arthur was thinking about when he would get to rest and what would be the second trial be like, the countdown was already half way there.

Goliath Goggin's looked back and found Arthur following him with a peculiarly lost look.

"Son, were my instructions hard? Why do you look so lost in thought?" Goliath asked Arthur since he already deemed the boy behind him worthy of his words.

"Yes sir." Arthur replied unconsciously and the moment he focused at Goliath's face, he found a smile there.

"What a weird child. Good. No need to be a little bitch when its just us men here." Goliath laughed while Arthur cried internally.

'Yes, I'm a man now.' Arthur told himself while sniffing for the last time.

The man in front of him was here to assess him and Kronosia had left Arthur under the best assessor ever.

( Second Trail begins )

"Bring it on!" Arthur shouted and that single second it took him to shout, he watched Goliath moving ahead of him by three steps.

"Wait." Arthur pushed his knees harder on the ground and lifted his foot up with as much force as he could. That was when he was able to follow behind Goliath.

"Running. Why is he running?" Arthur mumbled as he ran behind Goliath while huffing and puffing.

No matter how hard he ran, he was still slowly falling behind an inch after an inch.

"Running? Son, if this is running then..." Goliath glanced back at Arthur whose words had barely reached Goliath's ear like a buzz, "YOU REALLY DON'T KNOW ME SON!"

As, Goliath said that without any effort while keeping his momentum up and running, Arthur felt a life threatening situation looming over his head.

'This is not running? Then why can't i seem to catch up to him even though I am?' Arthur was forced to question his whole life in mere moments just after the second trial had started.

"This is the real trial, my son. This is called JOGGING of GOGGIN." Goliath told Arthur while whistling digits, like, 1, 2, 3 and repeating them with a perfect rhythm just like his feet and legs.

"I can't. Trial? Jogging? More like an invitation to meet with the God of death." Arthur mumbled as on top of being almost dead by exhaustion and the weight of the bottles, the whistling and the counting were grinding into the depths of his soft mind.

Arthur felt as if an insect was biting into his head and tearing it little by little.

"Yes sir." Arthur who had only repeated the same two words that he was allowed to speak finally closed his eyes for a moment.

The moment Arthur opened his eyes, his mouth opened too, "I can't run any more, I think I'm done." Arthur claimed to Goliath, but still didn't stop.

The chances of death by running after the hardest man of Earth were still less scarier than the absolute death that he would receive in the most painful ways by failing the trial.

"Done? That's what I wanted to head. Let me tell you something son." Goliath said while nodding his head with a hard look on his face.

"You think you are done, but mother fucker, you are only at 40% of what you are capable of doing. Don't put a limit on yourself SON!" Goliath shouted and along with his shouting manner, his words broke apart Arthur completely.

As, if this otherworldly being wasn't just a man of this world but someone sanctified. And, his words were like revelations that awakened something in Arthur.

"This is what my forty percent is capable of?" Arthur couldn't help but raise his arms and look at his hands as if he was looking at someone with great potential.

'Son.' Arthur was teary eyed as his hands looked blurry. He thought he got emotional after hearing to the man with great words of wisdom.

But, the tears were stinging his eyes, cause the tears were none other than his sweat that was now overflowing.

This was the last bits of fluid left in his body but the stinging pain caused him to close his eyes.

With half closed eyes, Arthur could barely see Goliath's back. He thought keeping check of the back in front of him was the most important thing for him right now, and thus he failed to notice the heaven's eye that had opened up right next to him.

The brightness of the heaven's eye had failed to reach him, especially the disastrous words on it.

( Under the current condition DEATH is Inevitable! )

"What is this light?" Arthur mumbled as a hint of the brightness from heaven's eye entered his sight but at the same moment he fell another step behind Goliath.

Ignoring the pain, the exhaustion and the brightness, Arthur followed Goliath with everything he had.

'So this is my forty percent.' Arthur smiled with half closed eyes.

A minute passed just like that and another script of the heaven's eye opened up.

( The inevitable death is brewing furiously! )

( A minute left till you die! )

( Heaven's eye will be pulled back from you in thirty seconds after your death! )

( Few Gods of lower heavens have turned towards you! )

( Kronosia's chosen one is under the eyes of multiple Gods of lower heaven! )

Arthur hadn't seen the heaven's eye but there were multiple steps where his sight went dark.

'Is this blindness? Or did too much sweat get into my eyes?' Arthur mumbled to himself and just when he was unconsciously going to stop he heard something.

"Don't stop when you're tired, stop when you're done." Goliath shouted with a happy voice as it had been a few minutes since Arthur had been following him relentlessly.

"Yes, sir." Arthur shouted back and drifted on.
