Chapter 21: Gentle Fist, Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms
Hyūga Ao hesitated, casting a glance at Kurama Yuu, whose face had turned ashen.
A look of struggle crossed Hyūga Ao's face as he mumbled to himself, dazed, "No way… Yuu and I have been best friends since we were kids."
Miss Hinata Hyūga wouldn't wrong someone without reason, and Hyūga Ao could sense that. Still, he never expected Kurama Yuu to be capable of such a terrible act. When had the grudge between them become so intense?
"Ao! Believe me!" Kurama Yuu demanded, his tone righteous. The next moment, he turned his gaze towards Hinata Hyūga, his face twisted with rage as he glared at her. "I didn't do it! Where's the proof? Didn't you say you had evidence? Show it!"
Even Sarutobi Hiruzen's expression grew troubled. Earlier, he had a sense that something was off, but without evidence, he chose to remain silent. Now, seeing Hinata Hyūga's confident demeanor, he couldn't help but wonder—how would she prove this?
In an instant, everyone's attention shifted to Hinata Hyūga.
"You better not regret this," Hinata said with a knowing smile. Inwardly, she commanded, Activate Memory Projection. Then, she began to form hand seals.
"Ninjutsu: Projection Technique!"
As she spoke, Hinata made a show of channeling her chakra, and once she finished forming the seals, she suddenly thrust her hands forward.
Buzz!
A flash of light followed, and a clear screen of light appeared out of thin air. Using her Byakugan, Hinata directly projected the scene she had witnessed earlier onto the screen.
Of course, the footage had been edited by her terminal and herself—she didn't want others to see the full range of data analysis she was capable of. So, the projected video only captured the sneaky actions of Kurama Yuu.
On the screen, Kurama Yuu's shifty eyes were visible, as well as the image of toxins accumulating in his arm that Hinata had detected through her system analysis. The footage also revealed Kurama Yuu's expressions during the examination, showing both hesitation and sudden determination. With this, the truth was more than half revealed.
"..."
Hyūga Ao remained silent.
Kurama Yuu's expression changed drastically, his face turning deathly pale.
Sarutobi Hiruzen's face grew equally grim.
"Mr. Kurama..." Even the nurse was looking at Kurama Yuu in disbelief, her eyes wide and her hand covering her mouth in shock.
But Hinata Hyūga felt no emotion. It was clear that Kurama Yuu had involved her in this, too. The range of the ninja poison's spread was vast, and even if it wasn't intentional, he had almost poisoned her. Without the help of her technology terminal, she would have suffered severe aftereffects from the toxin!
Even now, Hyūga Ao's aftereffects were serious. Who knew what kind of permanent damage he might suffer? And to think she was just a child under ten years old—he still had the nerve to harm her!
Hinata was so furious that she wanted to drag him out and beat him up to vent her anger. She hated this guy.
"No! This is just her one-sided story! How can she prove that this is truly the mark of ninja poison?!" Kurama Yuu stubbornly refused to admit anything. If he were to be accused of this, his life would be ruined!
So now, he planned to stick to his story, even though he knew he had no way out.
"You wouldn't really believe the nonsense of a little kid, would you? She's framing me!" Kurama Yuu noticed the strange looks from the other three people present and immediately pointed at Hinata Hyūga, shouting angrily in his defense.
But no matter how he tried to explain, his words were weak and unconvincing.
Hyūga Ao found it difficult to accept the truth and averted his gaze, remaining silent.
The nurse's gaze grew sharper.
Sarutobi Hiruzen's face was dark and brooding.
The conflict with the Cloud Village ninja today had already been severe. With Konoha suffering heavy losses, there was someone stirring up even more trouble. Sarutobi Hiruzen felt conflicted. If people kept causing problems in the village like this, who knew how much more the casualties would increase in the future?
"If you're still not convinced, there's another ninjutsu that can read the images from your mind and project them for everyone to see. How about it?" Hinata Hyūga coldly said, staring indifferently at Kurama Yuu, who was still trying to argue his way out.
Today, this man had to be brought down! Hinata's heart was as cold as ice.
"…"
"It's all your fault! All of you! I worked so hard! I had the ability! Why? Why? Just because he's from the Hyūga clan? Just because he has those damn Byakugan by birth?!"
After a moment of silence, Kurama Yuu broke down, screaming hysterically. He raised his fist and charged at Hinata Hyūga in a fit of rage.
It was her! It was all because of her! Her appearance had ruined his life! Because of her, he lost the opportunity to prove himself to the Hokage and his chance to climb the ranks!
If it weren't for her, he might have replaced Hyūga Ao in a few days and become the chief surgeon! His future would have been bright!
The Hyūga clan—they're all despicable! They all deserve to die!
Kurama Yuu, now desperate and enraged, let his emotions erupt in an uncontrollable frenzy. He no longer cared about anything; he just wanted to vent his rage one last time.
Seriously, even attacking a child? Hinata Hyūga inwardly sighed with a bitter smile.
With her terminal analyzing his movements, combined with her Byakugan, Kurama Yuu's actions seemed as slow as a turtle crossing the road—moving in slow motion.
Well, if you want to die so badly, I'll oblige! Hinata clenched her teeth and steeled her resolve, ready to try a new technique.
"Gentle Fist, Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms."
Muttering quietly to herself, Hinata stepped forward, channeling her chakra. Her hands assumed the positions—one palm open, the other forming a sword-like gesture—one hand high, the other low, her body crouched in a poised stance.
Suddenly, a Trigram symbol spread out beneath her feet. She eyed her opponent's chakra pathways, calculating their positions with her terminal's data. Hinata smiled to herself.
Ready to strike!
