The Hunt
Gabriel ate quickly, wanting desperately to get on the road. The sooner they left was the sooner he would have Megan back in his arms and safe. He kept waiting to hear the notification buzz on his phone, but nothing came. Maybe Megan wasn't answering Angelina now as well. Gabriel wanted to know his wife was safe, was that so terrible?
After what seemed like an eternity to Gabriel, they were finally ready to go. He and Afton each grabbed jackets that could hide their swords that they positioned across their backs. They didn't know if any of the dark realms knew Megan was away from North Mansion yet, but they weren't taking any chances. They needed to be ready in case they walked into a fight. Gabriel just hoped that he wouldn't be too late.
