Chapter 8

Ezrah felt very disappointed of what she said.

"Ummmmm….would you like to be my friend?" asked Ezrah shyly.

Shera smile at her "If you don't mind my bad reputation why not?" Shera answered.

Ezrah face beamed brightly "Oh! I don't mind, you're too cool you didn't let them bully you for no reason" she added admiringly.

"So from now on we are considered friends" said Shera while offering her hands to her.

"Friends" Ezrah replied.

This is the scene Shiro see when he arrives to wait for their fetcher to come.

"My sister becomes more interesting after her accident. At least now she knows how to fight back already" said Shiro to himself.

"Young master Shiro, young miss Shera let's go!" said their new driver." Forgive me for interrupting you young miss" he also said apologetically.

"Ok, we are also done talking" Shera said "See you tomorrow Ezrah" she added.

"Good bye! Shera" said Ezrah happily while waving her hand.

"Young miss, it seems that you made a new friend" said Ezrah's driver.

"Yes and she is my special friend. She is awesome and cool" Ezrah said admiringly.

The driver smiled at her young miss "I hope she is a good person" the man mumbled before they go.

On their way home…..

"It seems you made a new friend today" said Shiro to her sister.

Shera just smile at her brother.

"Good day! Mother" said Shera and Shiro when they get home.

"Hello! my treasures, how was your day?" said their mother while preparing food for the two of them.

"Shera made a new friend today" said Shiro to their mother.

"That's nice to hear" their mother replied happily.

"I thought you will be accompanied by your father?" said their mother disappointedly.

Shera and Shiro laughed heartily "Mother I think father learned his lesson yesterday. He hired a new driver for us" Shiro said.

"Hmmmmp as if he really is" replied their mother "By the way Shera uncle Lang and uncle Ling called earlier" she added.

Uncle Ling is the martial arts master that serves their family for so many years. His expertise is ancient martial arts. While Uncle Lang is a medicine genius. His expertise is ancient medicine combined with Modern and Western one.

"Did you contact them sis?" asked Shiro with shocked on his face.

"Yes" Shera replied to his brother.

"Mother what did they say?" asked Shera to their mother.

"They said that they are going to visit us later at six o clock in the evening. They said that they want to talk to you" her mother said "Are you planning to become their student?" she added.

"Are you going to stop me mother?" said Shera.

Her mother smile at her "Although I treated the two of you like babies but I know you are old enough to take responsibility with your choice".

"Thank you very much mother" said Shera. She needs to maximize her time to strengthen herself to protect her family. Although she already cancel her wedding to Zander she needs to be very cautious of her decision or else she could repeat her past mistakes that lead to the destruction of her family.

One thing is for sure at least she is not entangled with Zander Voltaire anymore. She could live a free life and have many handsome men to serve her. Shera grinned ear to ear.

Her mother and mother looked at her strangely.

After they eat, Shera returned to her room while her brother, Shiro watch his favorite sports.

In her room, Shera takes a little rest then start studying her lesson and do her assignment. She also advance read their lesson and answer some exercises.

"Shera, uncle Ling and uncle Lang are here already. They are waiting for you at the garden" said her mother after knocking at the door of her room.

"Ok mom, thanks. I'll be there" Shera replied. She tidies her things first before she goes out of her room.

The two elders are happily chatting with her mother and brother Shiro when Shera came.

"Oh! Hello there little girl" greeted the two Elders to Shera.

"Hello Uncle Ling and Uncle Lang" replied Shera.

Her Uncles are both in their fifties. Her Uncle Ling has long white hair and Uncle Lang has short white hair. They are a typical expert looking elders.

"Shera, Shiro and I are going to prepare food for the elders. Call us if you need anything" her mother said.

"Ok mother" her mother and brother wants her to have a personal talk with the two great elder.

"So Shera what do you want for us?" ask the two old men.

"Uncles forgive me for my arrogance last time. Can you still teach me of your expertise?" asked Shera with tears in her eyes.

The two sigh with what they heard to the girl which they treated as their own.

"But of course yes, we are very willing to teach you? When are you planning to start?" ask Elder Ling.

"Thank you very much! I plan to start after our ranking assessment" said Shera with full of determination.

"Ok, we will fetch you after that ok" said Elder Lang.

"Ok" Shera replied.

"Hey guys why you don't have desserts first" said her mother who came from the Kitchen together with her brother with the tray of food on their hands.

All of them enjoy their time talking and reminiscing their past before the two elders said good bye to them.

Time passed by and the time where the assessment for ranking came. During the rest of her time in class Shera study diligently. Her teachers don't have any high expectations to her grades so they just ignore her. But when they heard the bet between Laurence and Shera they just let it is. They are not interested to interfere with their affairs.

During the examination, Shera's seat is next to the facilitator of the test. After the thorough reminders about the do's and don'ts during the examination they started it without delay. The test is held for three days and the result will be released after one week.

Three days passed and the assessment for ranking is finished. The beginning of their vacation is after the assessment. Shera is supposed to go with the Elders after the assessment so she is prepared to go. She is planning to retrieve her spoils of war after she returned.

When she came to the airport the Elders are there waiting for her. Her family send her there.

"Little girl are you ready" asked Elder Ling.

"Yes Uncle Ling, I'm ready" Shera replied.

"Ok let's go" said Elder Lang.

"Good bye! Mother, Father and Shiro. Take good care of yourself" Shera said to her family before she turned around and entered the plane.

Inside the Plane…..

"Are you sure you want to give up the ordinary life you live?" asked Uncle Lang.

Shera smiled "Yes uncle I'm one hundred percent sure of it" she said with full of determination.

"Remember the quote in the movie Spiderman" asked Elder Ling.

"For great power comes great responsibilities" Shera replied.

"That's more like it" Elder Ling said.

"Uncles up until now you still watch it?" Shera said teasingly to the Elders.

"Hey, this kid really. Are you making fun of us" said Elder Lang.

They all laugh at their silliness.

After an hour, the plane, the three boarded land in an isolated island who owned by Shera's mother. In her mother's family there is Elite Soldiers Trained for special combat. The one who most likely trained them is Elder Ling.

She knows this place because her mother always brought them here. Both she and her brother is trained for different combat. But when she fell in love with Zander she refused to returned and trained because she didn't want to develop muscles. For woman who had muscles are ugly for her.

She hates her past self for being stupid. Now that God gave her another chance she will not waste it.

"Shera, let me introduce you this talented young man" Elder Ling said while pointing to the man beside him.

The man is handsome and hot but still it can be compared with Zanders looks.

The man's feature is a typical one for a soldier.

"Shera this is Juro Hill. He is one of the top Elite Soldier that we had. After your training here in the island he will be your body guard and personal assistant" said Elder Ling.

"Ok" said Shera emotionlessly.

"Juro this is Shera Carillo Maximillian the future heir of the Carillo and Maximillian Clan together with his brother Shiro. After she finished her training as the next successor you will be under her command. Did you understand?" said Elder Ling.

Juro look at her from head to toe.

"Really?" he said sarcastically. "A pampered little girl like her" Elder Ling didn't comment to his reaction. That is understandable because Juro is present when this little girl show her tantrums in the past.
