Chapter 56
SHEENA was already at the entrance area and waiting for us when we arrived. My heart beats so fast. My forehead was sweating while my hands were getting cold. Even my feet were trembling.
"Caleb!" Sheena automatically clung her arms to Caleb and the two quickly hugged each other.
"Where's your brother?" Camish asked.
Sheena slipped out of Caleb's embrace, a sad expression on her face. The way she looked at me meant only one thing.
"He's gone, Miranda,” she shook her head. “He left an hour ago."
I feel like a burning candle that will melt in an instant. I held on to Camish’s arm to gain some strength. He immediately assisted me and helped me sit in the receiving area. I was feeling utterly dejected but I don't want to show them how I feel. Still, thinking I'm not going to see Xylon ever again makes my heart shattered into a million pieces.
