"Do you know what's wrong with him?" Lumielle inquired her lips pursed as she looked at her father. His health was slowly deteriorating but no one could seem to find the cure. The doctor patted his forehead with a silk handkerchief. Her father's complexion was pale as there was a white cloth over his eyes to try and soothe his pains.
"I-I have tried to diagnose but it seems that it's impossible to know, Princess."
Lumielle scoffed as she waved her hand to get the doctor out of the room. Of course, they wouldn't know. It was a poison that she had made herself. The antidote was one that she only knew. Walking to her father's side, she took his hand. Ice-cold fingers gripped her warm ones. Sometimes, she wondered if it would have been easier to kill him sooner. She didn't say anything as she watched her father's lifeless corpse.
