Fall ( IV )

The fanfare was sounded as the gazes of the public were held in wait. Just in time, her maid had come back. Lumielle straightened her shoulder as she peered at Ruenti, he looked as if he was holding his breath. There was no reason for him to be this nervous, "Should I have everyone avert their gazes?" She questioned her words partially in jest.

He turned as white as a sheet, "D-Don't joke about that, Mielle!"

The purple-haired princess felt a smile tug on her lips, "I was being serious, but if that's what you wish." The two stepped into the spotlight as Ruenti gripped her arm tighter. The ballroom was beautifully decorated, it was darkly themed. Black had been used to make Lumielle's white dress stand out even more. She looked like a bride fashioned for death and only death. It was a good move on Veronica's part to have Ruenti's bright red hair stand out.
