Winters Call

High in the mountains, deep where no mortal could tread.... The Kingdom of Winter awaits.

On the highest peak, a single house sits. One by one, many more houses appear, all their lights brightening the morning sun. Then surely you'd wonder: Who is the one who is going to command this small town? Well- "WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!".

.... And there she is. Grace Everest. 5'4, 16 years of age, pale/ almost blue skin, bright purple eyes, short blue hair in bangs, with a small hairpin that looks like a snowflake. She was wearing a long white hoodie, with black sweatpants. She jumped down on a snowboard doing the equivalent of surfing. "Okay! I'm still in control here! Now then...." She says putting her hands to work.

She made an upward motion and a ramp made of ice came up. She went up it quickly and came back down in a rush of snow behind her. "One last ramp!" She said. That was until she heard someone call "GRACE!". She turned, lost her footing and instead of making a ramp, made a wall. She crashed into it with a hard *THUD* and was dazed for a few seconds. She stood up and then noticed a cut on her shoulder.

She sighed and picked up some snow, placing it on the cut. It healed instantly and she started walking to a large mansion, hidden in the ice. "Grace...." A deep voice said. She turned around to see a man in his early 40's, a white beard that connected to his mustache, two blue eyes, icy skin with a slight blue tint, and he was wearing a long blue and white robe, with a big gold crown, covered in small pieces of ice.

"What are you wearing? You do know that a princess should look like actual royalty, right?" He said. "I know, but whats the rush? We've still got time to spare! I can afford the fun dad. Not like you would know what that is.". He sighed and mist came from his breath. "Winters call is right around the corner! And I don't want you to make the same mistake I did, and waste my youth while I had it! I mean, back in my day-".

"Oh here we go-" "They only thing I had time to do was go to meetings and do work! And also.... I can't control these winds forever, one day you'll have to take my place." He said. "Well would you look at the time! Gotta go and train, or else I'll get weak and my bones will turn brittle!" She said dramatically. "Now you're just mocking me. Just remember to take out Frost!" He said walking away.

She sighs and starts walking to a backyard. She whistles and yells "FROST! Come 'ere boy! We're gonna go for a walk!". From over a fence, a howl is heard. "There you are!" She says. A giant white wolf with blue icy markings on its sides, and blue eyes, jumps over the fence and starts kissing her. "AH! You know that doesn't wash out!" She shouts being smothered by the giant canine.

She jumps on his back and whistles. They start going to the edge of a cliff, and she pulls out a bag full of little, ice colored, marbles. She throws one in front of them and a light blue portal opens up. "We're going to Britain this time!". They go through the portal and appear in an open field. She gets off the wolf and changes her look to be more human. She turns her skin a tan color, and her hair a brown color.

She walks out of a shop and start eating a donut. She sits down on a bench and before she starts eating, hears a yell. She then sees a person wearing all black, run away from and angry person. "Oh no you-". She stops and lowers her hand and sighs, remembering the rules. "Don't interfere with human affairs.... But their so cool though! Humans don't have to worry about Winter, and maintaining balance!" She whines.

"If I was human, I'd be able to actually help someone! But of course rules are rule-". She's interrupted as a truck starts speeding towards her, police cars in pursuit. The car starts swerving left to right and then flips towards her. Out of instinct she puts out her hand and creates enough ice to freeze it in place. She then runs to behind a tree and says "Whoa! Okay! This is fine, I uh- I can fix this!".

She then starts running and whistles for her wolf. "Come on, come on!". She doesn't even see him move. "Damn it Frost!" She says bolting. She grabs a marble and makes a portal to home. She goes through it and pants. "Woo! That was close!". She then looks around and doesn't see the palace. Instead she sees herself in her room, and her father waiting there for her. "Now I know what this looks like-". Frost then comes through the portal and runs around. The portal closes as the wolf starts pushing up against her.

"Frost, Frost stop. FROST!" She says getting his attention. He looks up and she points outside of the room. "Now what the heck did I say about meddling with humans?!" Her father says as they walk through a long hallway. "Oh please old man-" "The intent was perfectly clear!". She looks at him and says "It wasn't even that bad! Yeah I almost got caught, but it was-" *BOOM*.

Her father said "We shall continue this later, it seems that Glacial has returned for another lesson in manners!". The two go to a giant wall and see someone with dark grey skin, and dark blue eyes walk over. "Well hello again!" He says. He walks forward and throws a sharp spear of ice at the wall and says "Come on out 'your highness'!". The king looks over the wall and says "Well if it isn't the Remnant of Winter. Back for more i see.".

He waves off the approach and says "I actually brought you a little gift! Consider it.... Compensation for banishing me.". He backs up and snaps his fingers. A cannon fires and they look up to see a cannonball approaching. "*sigh*.... Listen carefully. You're going to go to the humans for the time being, okay? I'll come and get you later, just remember to take your bow!" They king says as a portal opens behind her. "You're saying that as if-".

She's pushed through the portal, and falls through into a snowy area full of trees. She looks around and sees her bow and quiver fall down. And she changes back to her normal look. She looks up to see the portal close and she looks down and says "FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
