Opal's Point of view

I feel so discomposed. I am not upset with Grayson, and I had a feeling he was pretending the whole time. How long did Rriel know that Grayson was there at the mall? Did he know the girl was there with him?

I nearly stomped out of the mall. "Opal, calm down," Rriel tells me.

"How long have you known he was here?" I yell.

"I heard his voice when I first entered the building," he answers.

"And the girl?"

"I just heard hers moments earlier," he explains.

I nod my head, the redness leaving my face. He steps closer to me, and he rubs his hand gently over my face.

"I would have told you if I heard her voice earlier, Opal," he tells me.

I frown. "I knew Grayson never liked me anyway." I feel my eyes water. I try not to cry in front of him. What would he think?

"He is a fool, Opal," he tells me, rubbing his finger over my lower lip.

I feel butterflies in my stomach. I feel nervous, but I still want him to kiss me.
