"What happened?"
Such a violent explosion, along with the shaking, had abruptly awoken the young man nearly drifting into deep sleep from his bed. Victor sat up, then stared somewhat blankly around him.
Where is my nightstand? My bookshelf? My desk? And all the "study" materials I painstakingly collected—how come they're all gone?
The young man dazedly stared at the huge hole next to him; his bed, the floor to the left, the walls, and even the ceiling had all been partially missing, with even the edge of his bed tattered and torn, seemingly affected by the explosion.
Victor looked in front of him and then turned his head to look behind, somewhat astonished to find that the building he was in had been pierced through, and he was situated right at the edge of this gaping hole.
"With such power, had it hit me, I'd be gone by now!" Victor looked at the somewhat frightening destruction traces beside him and couldn't help but think.
