Overnight Stay (2)

*Kim Di-Hee's POV*

"Are you sure?" Guk-Du asked for confirmation and was impatiently waiting for the moment. Although I have a nightmare-kind experience fresh in my mind of this thing, I don't want to ruin my life thinking over the same incident repeatedly and stick to it.

But we shouldn't be doing this before our marriage, right? The thought of my mother finding out about 'these' things - she always does- scared me.

"But we should wait till our wedding, no?" I asked timidly, slowly meeting his gaze. I saw him smiling.

"Well, if you want, then it's okay. I'll wait." He answered in a sweet voice while taking my hands in his.

"I-" He cut me off, "I know what you're thinking. Don't." He made me sit on the bed and hugged me rather tightly.

"I want your consent to do anything. Don't push yourself to do things you don't want." He said while cradling me back and forth.

"Humm." My muffled voice came, and I patted his arm, indicating that I felt suffocated. He immediately pulled back and apologised.

I started to cough due to lack of oxygen and closed my eyes tightly due to the pain that arose in my windpipe. I heard some shuffling, and the next moment I was resting my head on something soft, and water was slowly reaching my mouth from my lips.

After drinking water, it felt much good, but the pain was still there. I slowly opened my eyes and saw the ceiling staring back at me. I moved my head sideways to find Guk-Du on a call. I looked around, and a dizzy feeling came to me as if I slept for hours. I looked at my watch, and in fact, I slept for hours. It was past midnight.

"Oh, you're awake. How are you feeling?" Guk-Du interrogated. He must have stayed up to look after me. Looking into his eyes, it was evident that he had not slept.

"Come here. Sleep." I patted the side next to me. A confused look was available on his face.

I pulled his hand, and he fell on the other side of the bed. I made space by shifting towards the side I asked him to sleep on.

"But-"

"No ifs or buts. I said sleep." I said firmly, and he immediately covered himself with the duvet.

I also laid down and shifted close to him. I felt his body stiffen and chuckled a little.

"What? It's not like I'm hugging you for the first time." I said, looking into his eyes.

"But that was in standing, no?" He said shyly.

"Just how many personalities do you have?" I asked, and he thinned his brows.

"What do you mean?"

"One moment you're sweet and shy, and the other you're like... Umm, protective and sexy boyfriend. How? Do you get possessed or something?" I asked while blinking my eyes, and he smirked.

He smirked! I knew something was wrong.

"Answer me!" I softly punched his shoulder, and he turned towards my side.

"Wanna know?" He asked - what could go wrong - I nodded. In a moment of blink, he hovered over me, and I felt trapped in a cage. Cage of his eyes.

He kissed my forehead and said, "You'll get to know soon." The smirk and -kind of - evil look in his eyes was gone.

He returned to his previous position, and while hugging me, he drifted into sleep while I stared at his face blankly. After some time, I also slept, remembering that I have to meet Bong-Soon in the morning.

The next morning, I woke up in the arms of my beloved boyfriend. Without disturbing his sleep, I quickly did my morning business and got ready to meet Bong-Soon. Coming from the bathroom after doing the last touch-up, I woke Guk-Du, but he seemed to be in a deep sleep.

I installed an alarm in his phone timed after 15 minutes. Leaving a last note saying 'Take care. I'm with Bong-Soon. Love you' I left for the shared location.

After half an hour, I reached the cafe we decided to meet. I went in to look at the whole place simmering with people, and Bong-Soon being short-heightened, was difficult to locate, but her hair was a lot easier to spot than herself.

Walking towards the place she was sitting, I got a call from her. Supposedly I picked up and started talking to her. (B= Bong-soon & D= Di-Hee)

B- Where are you? You are late.

D- Oh! Am I? What time is it? Sorry, I just woke up because of your call.

B- What? When are you coming?

D- In 3..... 2... 1.... Here!

I jumped in front of her, and her phone jerked out of her hand. She was scared and surprised, just as I wanted. Bravo Di-Hee!

"You scared... Me." She said with a pause looking at me from top to bottom.

I checked my outfit and asked, "What? Is there something wrong?"

"Your lips... There are swollen. Don't tell me-" She was speaking in a high-pitched tone.

"Nothing like that happened. Me and Guk-Du just...." To quiet her curiosity, I have to reveal the truth. Shall I?

"Just what?" Looking at her, I have to.

"Just shared a kiss day. That's it." I blurted out, and I could feel the warmness on my cheeks no doubt they were red.

"Oh! You scared me." She said, putting her hands in the middle of her chest, just above the cleavage.

"Wait! Aren't you... Supposed to be on honeymoon by now?" I questioned, and this time she turned into a red panda.

"Well, we will go in the afternoon." She said, blushing like there was no tomorrow.

"Till then?" I teased her, and she largened her eyeballs like realisation hit her hard.

"Shut up!" She slammed her hand on the table, but luckily she knew to control her powers.

I laughed while she again largened her eyes. Oops, another realisation hit. I laughed even more, grabbing the attention of people around me.

"Sorry, please do your work," I said with a slight bow. But it was hard to control my laugh.

"You pervert!" She said, or more like announced.

"Oh. Am I??" I asked, supposedly doing an 'ootuke' sign mimic.

"Stop it." She laughed, and I joined too, seeing her chubby cheeks forming a bubble shape.

"So where are you going for honeymoon with my lovely brother-in-law?" I asked, this time being serious.

"He said it's a surprise." She said enthusiastically, and I could see the happiness in her eyes.

"I'm happy for you," I said in a low voice.

"I'm also for you." She said, and we just stared at each other.
