Lang Fai POV
I stared at myself in the mirror.
My face had gotten thinner.
It looked more angular.
My mouth was pressed into a worried line.
The years of paranoia and stress were catching up to me.
"Fai stop looking at yourself and hurry up!!!"
Stepping away from the mirror, I turned to Lian.
"Do-"
I cut myself off.
No, it was better to be with someone rather than alone.
I couldn't bear the thought of being alone.
"Fai? Hello? Let's go!"
Snapping back into reality, I let Lian pull me to the car.
-
"Shinji, can you drive faster?"
Lian whined.
"Shut up Lian."
XiuYing smacked the back of his head.
"Jesus Christ, why are you so mean?"
"You interrupted my sleep"
Both continued to bicker, until we arrived at our destination.
Lian practically jumped out of the car.
"Lang Fai don't worry you are safe here."
I nodded.
I had always tried to believe that.
You are safe here.
I but I knew I wasn't.
I've moved all over the world, running, my whole life. From him.
But then I had come to a conclusion. Why hide when I can put myself in the spotlight, where he won't be able to make himself public?
Eventually I settled in Shanghai, China.
That was where I had found my overprotective friends, Lian, XiuYing, Shinji, Yun, and Jun.
We debuted together, as a Chinese pop group, called 6Percent.
When I said overprotective, mean really overprotective. They know everything about Him.
"Fai, it's alright, I promise you."
Taking a deep breath, I looked at Shinji.
"Please don't leave me?"
"Of course not! You will be stuck with us the whole time!"
I simply nodded in response.
"You guys are about to perform in 5" a stage crew member said.
Jun thanked him, then gathered all 6 of us into a circle.
"Let's have a great performance guys."
"6Percent fighting!" We all cheered.
-
"Shinji I need to step outside for moment."
"Fai-Fai, are you sure? Want someone to come with you?"
I shook my head.
Shinji silently nodded.
It was hard to be alone, not that I wanted to.
I had showered, so my hair was still wet.
Making my way down the stairs, I stepped outside the dorm building.
Closing my eyes, I let myself enjoy the cool night air.
Tonight's performance was bizarre.
So many fans...
The sound of echoing footsteps interrupted my thoughts.
Slowly turning around, checking to see if anyone was there, I noticed something on the sidewalk.
Picking it up, I examined it.
It was a note.
I found you love.
Like my new shade of red?
Xoxo, your serial killer.
No.
How did he find me.
My fingers touched the warm red ink he had used.
The small piece of paper was smeared with it.
No not ink. Blood.
I let out a piercing scream.
I screamed till my throat was raw.
The door burst open.
The cool night air didn't feel cool anymore. It felt like a death sentence.
XiuYing immediately embraced me, rubbing my back.
"What happened? Lang Fai answer me."
I only managed to say a small sentence.
"He's back"
