chapter 16; one night stand

While driving mi rue was so angry at Sheila who just abandoned Arya to him so he put a call across her "hey rue what's up" Sheila answered from the other side grinning because she knew why mi rue called "how dare you leave Arya to me you're her best friend and know how to handle her better and where the damn hell are you" mi rue yelled "woah chill dude did she do anything crazy I should've warned you I'm just helping you two so be thankful and use it wisely I'll check up on her tomorrow bye" she said and hung up. "fuck" mi rue cursed because he didn't know how long his control will last.

Sheila couldn't stop laughing after hearing Mi Rue's frustrated voice "guess she did something crazy" she muttered "like what" someone beside her asked. She remembered that Jin Lan was with her.

When mi rue left to chase after Arya Jin Lan suddenly pulled her into the car and drove off "hey let me go Arya is still there and she's drunk" Sheila screamed awkwardly because the last thing she wanted was to face him now "mi rue can handle her now please stop avoiding me you're driving me nuts" Jin Lan begged and she sighed in defeat.

"well she could have kissed him or something like that not sure" Sheila said "if that's the case then Aiden will love it" Jin said "nah he's probably trying hard to stop his urges" Sheila said laughing as she pictured mi rue's face. Suddenly Jin Lan stopped the car shocking Sheila "why'd you stop" she asked "for now all I need you to think about is me leave them to handle their own problems please" Jin Lan begged now facing her

' awkwardness alert 🚨'

Sheila stared at him her heat now beating, how could she forget him, he was the man she met that night at the club and ended up having a one night stand with him, they were both so drunk that night 2 weeks ago. After she woke up, he was still sleeping and taking one look at his face she sighed and wrote him a letter before leaving; 'please don't bother looking for me I'm not your responsibility okay don't feel guilty it wasn't your fault it was a mistake Jin' then she sprinted out of the place.

Later she did a little research about him and found out that he was Jin Lan the 3rd son of Dee Lan owner of LAN's units a company that dealt with hotels, restaurants and bars but like her he chose to be the vice CEO of his friend's company, she was sure he also researched about her too.

Coming back to her senses she stuttered "I.. I told you not to…" "how could I not I couldn't stop thinking about you since that day I'm not sure if it's love at first sight or pure attraction but Sheila I want you.. to be my girlfriend please and after sometime if you feel you're not comfortable then we can break up" he pleaded 'did he just propose' she asked herself because the feeling was mutual, after that day she couldn't get him out of her mind and when she told Arya, Arya just scoffed and said "I can't believe you'll be a softie falling for a guy who literally took advantage of you just stop thinking about him already he's probably fucking some other girl now, men are all playboys" she said and hissed.

Sheila chuckled recalling that and after some thought agreed to his request what did she have tooose anyway. Jin Lan was over the moon after he agreed that he didn't know when he kissed her, what was supposed to be a peck turned into a wild one, each savoring each other, after they broke free Sheila's face was all flushed and Jin Lan shyly muttered "uhm sorry I'll tell you next time before doing it…. Let's get you home it's already late" he said changing the subject and Sheila just nodded totally taken aback by the turn of events, she could only stare at him 'he's pretty handsome' she thought, Jin Lan caught her staring at him and she immediately retracted her face to the window. Seeing this Jin chuckled.

When they arrived at Sheila's house Sheila immediately said a "thanks good night, bye" then sprinted into her condo. "silly" Jin Lan muttered then drove his car off. Sheila on the other hand went directly into her bed and squealed so loudly in her pillow. She couldn't believe she now hard a boyfriend most especially him. She was actually old enough to get married but had been too busy with work 'i can't believe I'm now 31' she thought thinking of how fast time flies 'oh Arya is gonna kill me' she mumbled thinking of how Arya will react once she finds out.
