Chapter 5

Mona led Amelia and Emily to a room she had prepared earlier, after putting Emily on the bed, she immediately took Amelia to another room to talk to her.

       They sat facing each other, Mona staring at Amelia while Amelia turned her gaze in the other direction since she felt awkward.

      Seeing Amelia's attitude of not even being able to look directly into her eyes, Mona let out a disappointed sigh.

*Hah*

"Well, I'll be straight with you, milady."

"Y-You don't have to call me that."

"I have to, you're the Master's wife, and that makes your position naturally above mine."

"I don't want that."

"It doesn't matter, its just how it is."

      Amelia bit her lip.

"You can't escape reality, I'm sure you know that. To be honest, I don't like you, there are many women out there who are more worthy of being Master's wife than you."

"Then just tell Cassian to-"

"But he chose you."

      Amelia was silent, Mona was right, even though Amelia didn't know why Cassian had chosen her and just why he was doing it now. But one thing was clear, Cassian was really serious about making her his wife.

She just, felt quite upset. After all, Cassian was the man who raped her, Cassian was the man who abandoned her, Cassian was the man who made her struggle to raise Emily alone.

That was why, she was not willing to accept Cassian's offer without a fight. There was no doubt, though, that her living conditions would be much better if she accepted, especially for Emily.

"So starting today, I will train you again. But this time not to be a servant, I will train you to be a proper wife for Master."

      Realizing that it was now the best option Amelia had, she nodded softly.

"Good."

      Mona smiled and spoke back to Amelia politely.

"Then, please take care of me. Milady."

"Me too, Mona."

      Once again, Amelia would be trained by Mona.

      In the afternoon, Amelia rested in Cassian's room after her training ended, she was exhausted, both mentally and physically.

Mona's training was too hard. I don't know if she just hated me or if the training was really that hard.

      Mona gave Amelia etiquette, posture, and other annoying exercises. It had been a long time since she had done any of that, it reminded her of when Mona had trained her back then, her strictness still unchanged until now.

      She felt so tired that she wanted to pass out.

      Moreover, this morning, she had to accompany Emily who was very excited about their new house, fortunately Mona immediately helped her by calling a servant to take care of Emily.

      Right now, Amelia just wanted to rest. Mona said she could use Cassian's bathtub, so she would do that. Even though she knew Cassian could come back anytime and use his bath, but no matter, she was too tired to think about it.

      Besides, she couldn't use any other bathtub other than the main bathtub in Cassian's room.

      However, when she got out of the bathtub, she found Mona waiting for her.

"Milady, it's dinner time. Allow me to guide you to the dining room."

      Amelia still felt uncomfortable being called like that by Mona, but since she was afraid of being scolded by Mona, she would get herself used to it soon.

"Ah, okay."

      Amelia immediately followed Mona after tidying up her clothes, on the way, out of curiosity, Amelia asked.

"Is Cassian home yet?"

"Yes, while you were bathing earlier, Master returned and was playing with Young Miss."

"Oh."

      Amelia was silent for a moment, before she asked again with some hesitation.

"Am I.... going to sleep with him tonight?"

"Yes, I'm sure you already know about that, Milady."

      Mona said that while turning her head and looking at Amelia with a gaze that seemed to be hinting at something.

      Knowing what Mona meant, all of Amelia's fear and anxiety came rushing back to her. She knew sooner or later this would come, but seeing Emily who was smiling happily and so excited made her forget about it.

"Pull yourself together, Milady. Face it, it will happen even if you don't want it to."

      Mona's words woke up Amelia who had stopped and was lost in thought.

      However, Amelia knew that what Mona said was true. So she tried to calm herself down, if she couldn't do this for her own sake, then at least, she had to do this for Emily's sake.

      When they arrived in the dining room, she could see Emily sitting on Cassian's lap, she looked very happy to be talking to him judging from her hands that were moving around like she was describing something. 

Apparently she was telling Cassian what had happened today. When Emily noticed Amelia's arrival, she immediately got off Cassian's lap and ran to her.

"Mama! Papa showed me the fireworks from his hand, that was great, wasn't it?"

"That's wonderful, sweetie."

      Seeing her daughter that happy, Amelia decided to ignore all her anxiety, for Emily, she was willing to do anything.

      Night fell, after Cassian put Emily to bed he immediately returned to his room to rest. But there was one thing that bothered him from earlier, he was curious about what Amelia and Mona were doing.

      The two of them left to do something as soon as they finished dinner, although Emily asked Amelia to come along with her, she refused saying she had to do something with Mona. 

That was why Cassian had to put Emily to bed himself, he was having quite a hard time with it, fortunately Cassian had read a lot of books, so he just need to tell one of the stories he remembered, and Emily finally fell asleep quietly.

He was very curious what Amelia had done to make her reject Emily so, maybe Mona had forced her, but Cassian didn't remember giving Mona any orders.

Well, I'm sure Mona wouldn't do anything stupid.

      Based on his logical thinking, Cassian decided to just trust Mona. After all, he had worked with her for years, and never once had Mona let him down.

      However, Cassian's curiosity soon disappeared when he returned to his room, where he could see Amelia sitting on the edge of her bed, wearing a transparent night gown.

Oh yes, it was definitely Mona who told her to do that. There's no way Amelia would do this willingly and also she looks really angry.

      Seeing Cassian just looking at her, Amelia bit her lip.

"Don't just stand there! Hurry up and close the door."

"Oh yeah, right."

      Fearing that someone was watching, Amelia urged Cassian to come in and close the door. Although she already knew it was impossible for anyone to see, but she still felt uncomfortable.

      Cassian went in and gave Amelia a better look.

"What? Don't just stare there, say something. You were the one who told Mona to do this to me."

      Actually, Cassian didn't tell Mona to do anything. But he decided to just go with the flow.

"Well, you look pretty good."

"Tsk."

      Hearing Cassian's compliment, Amelia clicked her tongue. She was basically naked right now, so Cassian's compliment didn't feel like a compliment to her at all.

      When she saw Cassian walking towards her, Amelia closed her eyes and turned her face away.

      Cassian began to push Amelia to lie down onto the bed. Despite feeling a little scared seeing Cassian's body that was bigger than her on top of her, Amelia did not resist, she just turned her face away from Cassian.

"Hey, look at me."

      Cassian turned Amelia's face towards him using his hand. Realizing that resisting was useless, Amelia let Cassian's hand move her face.

      But she still wouldn't look at Cassian. Cassian smiled at her small resistance.

"Seriously? You knew there was no point in fighting back at a time like this, but you still did it. Do you dislike me that much?"

"Shut up, I'm only doing this for- Hng!"

      Before Amelia could finish her sentence, she felt something warm on her lips. When she realized what it was, Cassian had already given her a soft kiss.

"Oh yes, your lips still feel as sweet as ever."

"You-"

      Cassian sealed Amelia's mouth again with a kiss, but unlike the soft kiss earlier, this time he gave Amelia an intense kiss.

      Feeling Cassian's tongue invade her mouth, Amelia felt like there was a thrill running through her body. She tried to push Cassian away because she was having trouble breathing, but due to the difference in strength, she couldn't do it.

      She could only let Cassian kiss her until he was satisfied.

      Some time later, Cassian finally let go of the kiss. He looked satisfied, in contrast to Amelia who looked breathless.

      Amelia looked at Cassian with a gaze filled with anger.

"Are you trying to kill me? I can barely breathe!"

"You said yourself I can treat you however I want, right?"

"That's-"

      Amelia couldn't deny it, she did say something like that. 

      Looking at Amelia who was silent and unable to answer, Cassian smiled.

"Don't worry, I was just joking. I promise I'll treat you gently this time, I did let loose a bit earlier after feeling how sweet your lips are."

"You'd better do that, or I... I..... I'll get angry."

"You're already angry."

      Of course, Cassian would keep his word. After all, Cassian had no intention of doing this with Amelia so soon in the first place. He had actually planned to bring his relationship with Amelia closer together slowly, but looks like Mona wasn't as patient as Cassian.

      So he decided to change his plan, he will take anything Mona throws at him.

After all, the old woman is better at handling things like this than I am. Plus, she's a woman, so Amelia would feel more comfortable talking to her.

      He would let Mona do the talking to Amelia.
