Chapter 28

Emasurprised me by interlacing our fingers. The tingles started and I smiled at our joined hands. "Ready?" I asked. Emanodded and we walked away from the castle. She led us into the woods. There wasn't a path, but it looked like she knew where we were. We walked in silence for about twenty minutes. "Where are we going?" I asked curiously.

"You'll see," she stated.

I chuckled. "Isn't it supposed to be me who surprises you?" I questioned.

Emashrugged. "We're almost there." I nodded and followed her for about ten more minutes.

We got to a log cabin. It was two stories, with a balcony on the second floor. Windows covered majority of the house, and the wood was a dark brown color. "Come on." Emagently squeezed my hand and pulled me towards the house. We got to the front door and put a code in the key pad with her free hand. Fancy.
