Author's Note: This story is based on the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, which has some variations from the anime. If you find any discrepancies in the dialogues or scenarios, I invite you to research how it was in the manga. It's a story of short chapters, as I find it unnecessary to be a detailed episode (I don't know how to write long chapters).

I apologize if there are grammatical errors, I write in Spanish and translate it into English.

Two days after the exchange event, the silence of the early morning was broken with a familiar sound.

Knock Knock

"Itadori!" The voice of a white-haired man with eyes hidden behind a bandage echoed in the hallway, knocking on a room door.

KNOCK KNOCK

"Itadori!" This man was not exactly the definition of the word patience.

The sound of a door opening interrupted the echo of his voice.

"Gojo-sensei?" A sleepy Itadori opened the door, his face reflecting confusion. "Why do you always wake me up so early?" He asked, scratching his eye listlessly.

"The early bird catches the worm!" Gojo replied enthusiastically, grabbing Itadori by the arm and dragging him to the patio.

Itadori stumbled over his own feet, still half asleep. "Wait! Wait!" He protested, but his words were lost in the wind.

They arrived at the patio quickly. Itadori, still half asleep and dizzy from the rapid movement, was looking for a point of balance. He felt like he had been put on an F1.

"Excellent!" Gojo clapped enthusiastically, his voice resonating with infectious energy. "Let's do this quickly!" Itadori looked at him, his face reflecting deep confusion.

He was still trying to fully wake up, and Gojo's words were not helping. "What are you talking about, Gojo-sensei?" he asked, his voice laden with uncertainty.

Gojo smiled, "Do you remember what happened two days ago?" he asked, and received a nod from Itadori. "When you defeated that curse, it wasn't just because of your punches… Something else happened." Gojo revealed, adding an additional layer of confusion to Itadori's already bewildered mind.

Itadori frowned, his confusion intensified. "What are you talking about, sensei?" he replied, seeking clarity amidst the confusion.

Gojo removed the bandage covering his eyes. "My eyes," he began, "are special. I can see things that others cannot. And I can see that something changed in your body." He revealed, plunging Itadori into even greater confusion.

In the face of Itadori's growing confusion, Gojo, with a calm gesture, indicated him to sit cross-legged on the cold ground. "Are we going to meditate?" Itadori asked, his voice full of uncertainty, as he watched his master mimic his pose with an almost supernatural serenity.

"Something like that," Gojo replied with an enigmatic smile, as he extended his hand towards Itadori, offering him a small object. "Take this."

Itadori looked curiously at what Gojo had given him. "A leaf?" It was a leaf from a common tree, nothing special, its vibrant green contrasting with the palm of his hand. "What is this for?" he asked, his confusion growing like a storm in his mind.

"You'll understand," Gojo said in a mysterious tone that seemed to contain a universe of secrets. "Now, close your eyes and enclose the leaf between your two hands."

Itadori obeyed, closing his eyes and getting into a meditation pose while a leaf was trapped in his hands, its crispy and fresh texture against his skin.

"Now gather your cursed energy in your hands," Gojo instructed, his voice resonating in the silence of the patio.

Itadori did as his sensei instructed, swirling his cursed energy slowly in his hands, feeling it accumulate like an electric current.

"Now open your hands," Gojo seemed like a magician doing a cheap trick, his voice full of anticipation.

Itadori opened his hands, looking at the leaf. What he saw surprised him, leaving him speechless…

"Absolutely nothing happened," he revealed annoyed, to Gojo's great surprise.

"Ehhh?!" Gojo reacted, visibly confused. "I guess it's not as simple as I initially thought," he admitted, scratching his head with an expression of momentary embarrassment.

Itadori responded with a cold look, annoyed at having been woken up at 5 in the morning without a purpose.

Gojo, always feeling unabashed, ignored the gaze of his student and held his chin with his knuckles momentarily, immersing himself in his thoughts about the next course of action.

"I've got it!" he exclaimed suddenly, extending a finger in a eureka signal.

"Let's try it again!" he proposed enthusiastically.

"But it didn't work before…", Itadori objected with a tone of reluctance. "This time it will work!" Gojo replied with unshakeable confidence.

"Why?" asked the student, skeptical. "Because I say so!" replied the teacher with a confident smile.

Itadori sighed resignedly, deciding to heed his teacher. He closed his eyes, joined his hands and gently enclosed that poor leaf in his hands.

"First, concentrate your cursed energy," Gojo instructed, watching closely as Itadori followed his instructions.

"Now, why did you decide to fight that curse alone?" Gojo asked, causing Itadori to furrow his eyebrows at the question.

Before Itadori could respond, Gojo continued: "I know you told Todou not to intervene. Maybe if you hadn't told him that, they could have exorcised the curse together," Gojo condemned, causing Itadori to lose his composure.

"But-", Itadori began to reply, interrupted by Gojo: "Don't lose concentration!" he ordered loudly, returning Itadori to his meditation posture.

"I'm not blaming or accusing you," Gojo clarified in a softer tone. "I just want to understand why you told him. What were you trying to prove?" Gojo questioned with curiosity.

Itadori fell silent, reflecting on his purpose. "I wanted to prove myself," revealed the pink-haired one, in a low voice.

Gojo nodded to himself, formulating the next question carefully. "To whom? To yourself or to others?" he posed two options.

Itadori fell silent again, his fists trembling slightly. "To myself," he revealed again, and before Gojo could ask, he continued.

"I wanted to prove to myself that I was strong…", his fists trembled with the intensity of his emotions.

"I wanted to prove that I could decide the moment of my death," his cursed energy continued to flow, circulating throughout his body.

"I wanted to defeat it myself, as I couldn't that day…", his cursed energy began to change color, reflecting an emotion.

"So… why did you do it?" Gojo asked the definitive question.

"Pride," he responded without hesitation.

The schoolyard of the sorcery school fell silent, the sun barely rising and the only sound that Itadori could hear was his own thoughts in the face of his confession.

"Open your eyes, Yuuji Itadori," he heard his teacher Gojo.

Itadori opened his eyes, witnessing his teacher looking at him with a smile.

Gojo with a smile began, "Itadori, never be ashamed of your pride. It is pride that will make you strong, that will drive you to surpass yourself." He paused, allowing his words to sink into his student.

Then, seeing the sparkle in his eyes, he continued, "Being proud is what separates true sorcerers from the rest. Always enter a battle with the conviction that you will win. Never allow the thought of defeat to cloud your mind."

Finally, with a confident smile, he concluded, "Always enter a battle with your head held high, with pride. That's what sets the strongest apart from the rest." With that, Gojo Satoru ended his motivational speech to his student.

Itadori was left speechless, stunned. He had expected a reprimand from his sensei, Gojo, but instead, he found words of motivation and encouragement.

"Look at the leaf," he heard Gojo say, his voice breaking the silence. Itadori, still caught in his thoughts, obeyed and slowly opened his hands to reveal the leaf he had been holding.

With a slow movement, Itadori showed the leaf, revealing its state to his own astonished eyes and Gojo's confident smile.

"It's burned," said Itadori, his voice full of disbelief. "How?" he asked, confused. "Is it my cursed technique?" he proposed, seeking an explanation. "Or is it a Sukuna technique that I awakened?" he suggested, posing another possibility.

Gojo, with his unchanging expression, began to respond, "I'm not very sure… But I think neither of the two." His answer took Itadori by surprise. "Then, what is it?" asked the pink-haired one, his confusion growing.

"I think it's something from Sukuna," said Gojo, adding to Itadori's confusion. "But you said it's not his cursed technique," Itadori replied, tilting his head like a confused dog.

"And it's not a technique," Gojo reaffirmed, leaving Itadori even more bewildered. "I don't understand anything," Itadori gave up, his mind full of unanswered questions.

Gojo smiled, "Let me tell you a story, about the strongest sorcerer 400 years ago… A story about Hajime Kashimo"

The God of Thunder

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Short chapter, to merge my theory of why Sukuna can use fire and comparing it to Kashimo's electrical energy.

I think it also makes more sense for Itadori to awaken that since it is cursed energy.

Tell me if you liked Itadori's power up and if it is well justified and explained.

Can you post reviews please? There are only 3, I accept criticism as long as it is constructive.
