Now decided on how to enter the lava, Julian called Gengar.
Gengar came out of his shadow and looked down into the molten lava and then looked back at Julian, wondering what Julian is planning.
Julian "Go down inside and check what's inside"
Gengar nodded his head after receiving Julian's command and turned his body translucent and phased into the molten lava.
Since there is no light traveling inside the lava, Gengar could only use his senses to find the hollow place and enter it.
Gengar used his senses and started feeling for a hallowed place. At first, Gengar didn't find anything but as he continued feeling his surrounding, he felt something foreign to this atmosphere.
He felt a metal door made of tungsten. Gengar approached it and phased through it to find himself inside a cave that is way colder than the outside environment, which is literary molten lava.
Gengar found weird gadgets there attached to these cave walls to cool them down for normal humans to be livable.
Gengar then returned to the surface and joined Julian once again, telling him what he saw.
It surprised Julian to learn that there is a tungsten door blocking a cave that leads to somewhere unknown.
Julian already has an idea of where it leads and who is responsible for that tungsten door blocking off its path.
Julian "Let's go then"
Julian says and suddenly the shadow under his feet starts to expand and Julian starts to sink into the ground as if he is stuck in quicksand.
Once fully submerged, Gengar replaces the shadow and he once again makes his way down the molten lava and phases through the door.
Once past the door, Gengar creates a shadow portal again and Julian comes out of it as if he was standing on an elevator platform.
Julian looks around and finds that the cave has been dug and is not naturally formed, but the cave has been here for years, meaning that Cipher are not the ones who made this cave.
Julian also felt the z-energy around him increase by 10 folds. This is the first time he felt so much z-energy and he has not even reached the center of the den.
Julian 'The lava must be blocking off the z-energy from leaking out.'
Julian thought, as he couldn't sense much z-energy around him when he was outside.
Julian "Let's go"
Julian said and started walking up the cave as Gengar entered his shadow once again.
The cave was longer than he expected and the deeper he went, the thicker the z-energy became.
Julian also noticed that the devices attached to the cave walls also started to get frequent, and he knew he was close by. Another thing Julian noticed is that he hasn't encountered any pokemon as he makes his way through this cave.
This is a totem den, so there should be a lot of pokemons residing in this den, but he has not found a soul here.
After a few minutes, the cave finally ended and Julian saw what he expected, but on a much grander scale.
This totem den is bigger than the ones he has been in before and the z-energy here is tremendous, about 20 times more than a normal one.
This discovery shocked Julian.
As his eyes scan the whole den, he sees hundreds of cipher members. Once again, Julian was shocked by their numbers.
Julian "How could so many of them be here?"
Julian said to himself.
He thought that cipher members on Alola are under control but he didn't expect 100s of them to already be here and busting in numbers.
Julian "Motherfuckers must have been here for months"
Julian said as his eyes falls on a particular piece of rock that is being stored in a massive box. The rock looks more like a crystal than a rock.
A massive red crystal that should weigh about 4 to 5 tons, but Julian's focus is on the aura it is radiating. Z-energy, and that too in abundance.
Julian 'Is that a massive z-crystal?'
Julian asks himself as he looks at the massive red-colored crystal. This also told him why the totem Incineroar could cause a Z move without a z crystal. It must have observed a lot of z-energy from this z-crystal, making it bigger and stronger.
Now the only question is how it escaped from 100s of cipher members.
No matter how strong the totem pokemon gets, they will never be able to overpower 100s of humans controlling 100s of pokemon.
Julian "Gengar"
Julian called for his trusty Gengar again and Gengar emerged out of the shadow like the hero that is needed.
Julian "Go and scout the whole den, see what you can find"
Julian said as from his point of view he cannot see much other than the open space in front of his eyes.
Gengar disappeared into the shadow and started going around the massive den and looking for anything that stands out and it didn't take long for him to find it.
Another massive pokemon is trapped inside a cage and this one is also a totem pokemon along with it are other pokemons of normal sizes trapped in cages fitting their size.
Gengar felt like he discovered a gold mine and returned to Julian to tell him what he found.
