CHAPTER 1

June 28, 1987, St. Joseph orphanage, London.

It was 10:00 am in the morning, and since the summer holidays had already started, every kid from the orphanage had already gone to play in the local park, everyone except one. On the first floor of the building, an 11 or 12-year-old boy could be seen sitting on the bed deep in thought as he looked out of the window and an unopened book lay forgotten on his lap. This blue-eyed, black-haired boy was Jason Williams, he was continuously tapping his foot as if waiting for something to happen.

' It's already been 8 years since they started appearing' he thought ' 8 years since I started to remember memories of my past life. Though memories would be a wrong description as there are no feelings attached to them, information would be a better word I guess. 'He quietly put his book on the bed and stood near the window to catch the morning breeze, ' I was a bit more than three years old when I started to get these pockets of information, they started as Déjà vus, at school, I knew about everything that was being taught before the teacher could fully explain. Though I couldn't remember something if I tried to recall on my own, as if these pocket of information needed some form of trigger for me to learn of them' he thought.

'At first, I was assuming that I somehow time traveled, but that assumption was voided due to an incident a few years later. I was about 6 years old and a kid bit older than I pushed me to the ground, there wasn't any malicious intent behind it, the kid just didn't notice me. My knee had burst open and started bleeding and like any 6-year old, I started crying in agony but suddenly stopped as I noticed something, the kid who bumped into had also fallen, that to on a plain ground with no one around him. I chalked it as a coincidence at first but weird things like these kept happening more frequently whenever I was high on any emotion. There were many possible reasons for these incidents but I somehow knew the real one, accidental magic, I was in Potterverse. The moment I realized this, I started to remember everything I knew about this fictional world. I first got excited because of, well, magic! Then I started to become worried and later a bit paranoid, I started constantly thinking how and why I was on this world, it got to the point that it started to affect my health. I was able to get myself together with the help of an acquaintance and some meditation. I realized that the how's and the whys didn't matter for now. I was in this world and I am going to enjoy it fully. That resolution is something I still standby and probably always will. It is also the reason I am so impatient right now as the last week of June is very important, I am waiting for-', his thoughts were broken due to a knock on the door.

*knock**knock*

Jason quickly moved to open the door. Outside stood two people, one of them was the matron of the orphanage but it was the other person that held all of Jason's attention. She was a lady in her 50's though Jason knew she was probably a bit older than that) wearing a green dress with a stern look on her face.

"Jason this lady is a professor from a boarding school who has an offer for you" the matron introduced her.

"Why don't you and Jason have a chat? I have some important paperwork to finish" matron politely asked the professor.

" Sure, I don't mind." She replied. Quickly making sure that everything is okay matron leaves.

" Good morning ma'am, my name is Jason Williams" Jason introduced himself while inviting her in.

After getting comfortable in the room the lady turns to Jason starts to introduce herself,

" Hello mister Williams, my name is Minerva McGonagall, I am a professor at –" only to be interrupted by Jason.

"at Hogwarts, I know," Jason says getting excited as this was the meeting he waiting for the whole week. Quickly realizing how rude it was of him to interrupt her like that, he mumbles a quick apology.

"wh-what! How do you-? How do you know about Hogwarts? Do you also know about-?" asked the professor, clearly expecting him to complete her sentence.

" know about magic? Yes!" replied Jason getting excited again.

" How did you find out?" asked McGonagall, she a bit surprised at the turn of events. You don't really expect a muggleborn orphan to know about the magical world before even getting his Hogwarts letter.

"well, I learned of the magical world about 3 years ago" Jason started to tell his story, "I was roaming around the neighborhood with few of my friends when I saw a weirdly dressed man walk into a pub. When I pointed him out to my friends they said they don't see any pub but just a black wall, at first I thought they were making fun of me but then realized they really couldn't see the pub. I decided to let the matter rest for the moment. We went back quickly that day but I decided to investigate the pub the next morning, it was a bit nerve-wracking going alone into the dark pub, but then I met the bartender Tom who explained everything. I do go there once a while now to chat a few people there, that's how I knew you were going to come in the last week of June." Said Jason.

As the good professor was digesting the story, Jason thought ' although I did go to the leaky cauldron at that time for the first time, it wasn't by mistake but rather a deliberate action on my part. I wanted to know about the world before I got my Hogwarts letter. I did think about feigning ignorance about magic but the truth would have come forward by chatting one with Tom and then lying would be more troublesome that the half-truth I gave.'

"You didn't tell anyone about magic right?" asked the professor trying to understand the complete situation.

"No! Of course not. Tom explained how magic must be kept secret and how by law I can't tell anyone about it" he quickly explained.

" well, I guess it just makes my job easier, now since I don't have to explain about magic to you. Here" she said while taking out an envelope from her purse and giving it to Jason.

The envelope had a seal with a logo of a shield with four animals on it; a badger, an eagle, a snake, and a lion.

On the front it said:

Mr. J Williams,

The second bedroom, first floor,

St. Joseph's orphanage,

London.

Opening the envelope, it contained a letter and list. It said

(Order of Merlin, First class, Grand Sorc., Chief Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. Of Wizards)
