Pirates Aboard

The three emerge from the inner part of the ship as they see the outside in a hectic mess. People were running around screaming for help as pirates boarded the ship in a pillaging mood. clearly seeing a fancy ship like theirs, it made them more antsy by the second to loot it. "Everyone! To the spare boats! Evacuate the ship!" The crewmate with them unfortunately had to leave the other two as he led the people to evacuate and jump ship while pirates were aboard. "Pirates!?" Cherry says with worry as people run past them in a hurry. But at the same time, Derrick was deep into thought. It felt like he was missing something."Ah ha! That's right!" Then it hit him, which Cherry clearly notices as she looks at him with a questioning look. "My friend is really good at dealing with people like this! Let's go find him!" he tells her. The boy knew he would be where he said he was before. at the front of the ship, where he would soak in the sun's rays as long as he wanted to. But luckily for the two, that didn't seem to matter much as the guy himself flew into their area, crashing into one of the roofs that was over the staircase leading up to the top floors. "What was that!?" Cherry exclaimed as they both saw it happen in a flash. And as quick as he crashed, he immediately stood back up and made his way out with an irritated look on his face."Okay, note to self: do not underestimate pirates," he says as he pats himself off of any dirt or rubble that is still on him. "Mr. Tetsuga!" Derrick yelled as he went over to the man in question, while Cherry was left in disbelief. "Oh, hey, Kid, the ship's been boarded by pirates; unfortunate, I know," he recaps to him before walking back to the front to confront the man that launched him away. "Though I have to say, they are giving me a hard time here. I might bust out the big guns if things get hairy," he says as he rolls his arms in preparation. "Don't worry! You won't have to, because I'm here as well! With both of us, they won't stand a chance," Derrick exclaimed as he was fully ready to fight the pirates alongside his comrade. but the latter was not so eager, as he picked him up by the scruff of his neck and set him aside like he was some kind of thing."Sorry, kiddo, but you're going to sit this one out for a second. This bastard kind of made it... personal." he says as he tires of moving past the boy and towards the problem, but gets stopped by another inconvenience, according to him. "This! is your friend!?" Cherry had finally spoken up from her spot after taking a minute to process what she was seeing right now. Derrick was friends with a criminal. And a notorious one, to be exact, as she had seen his face plastered all around the kingdoms. "Oh, you gotta be... Berrybottom?" he was about to exclaim and yell, but then finally noticed who she was. How could he not see her, as she was a splitting image of her father? "That's Ms. Cherry P. Berrybottom to you, you criminal." she pouted. She knew this man from his notoriety and her father's personal life, as the man recounted that the man before her had sucker punched him in the face when they met face-to-face."Oh great! You just had to be friends with Berrybottom's kid!" he complains, as he knew as well of their shared hatred of him. That and the stink eye Cherry was giving him was not hard to miss. "Look, pipsqueak, I'm busy right now. so just scoot on over to the side and—" Before Tetsuga could even finish his sentence, the girl was already pouncing on him as she tried to hit him with her arms flailing about, but Tetsuga was smart enough to not let her near as he held his hand out to her face to stop and block her. "I'm going to kill you!" she says as she desperately tries to hit the man once. "Look, I've heard this spiel from your father. I don't wanna hear it from you as well!" Tetsuga says as she is set aside as easily as Derrick while Tetsuga goes to go and deal with the pirates. But before he could, another inconvenience decided to show up."Miss Cherry! There you are! I was worried sick trying to find you!" a butler says as he sees the girl with Derrick. He then notices Tetsuga, whom he was all too familiar with because of his notoriety as a criminal name. "The infamous Katsugoyo! I won't let you dare put a finger on-" The butler was all ready to scrap with the lad, but Tetsuga was quick to defuse the situation. "Go tend to the kid and take care of her friend! I got pest control business to attend to!" Tetsuga slips by and finally makes his way over to the front where the pirates had taken over. "Oh... well, okay then. Miss Cherry, are you alright?" the butler spoke in worry as he quickly took out a handkerchief and wiped some sweat that was trailing down Cherry's face."I'm fine. sorry about ditching you, Archibald. I'm glad your okay." Cherry expressed as she gently refused the handkerchief, which the butler was fine with. He then went on to address the young man with her at the moment. "How about you? Are you quite alright?" he asks, But Derrick's eyes were glued to where Tetsuga went. It was clear that he wanted to follow behind him. "Huh? Right, I am. Hold that thought though," Derrick replies before starting to storm off from the two as he goes to see Tetsuga again. The butler, even if the order came from a wanted criminal, wanted to keep Derrick out of harms way. "Boy, wait! Where are you going! the evacuation boats are that way." he says, confused. Normally, boys like him would be running away right about now and hopping on the first boat they could see to flee the area. but not him."Sorry, I just need to check on my friend real quick!" he says as he leaves the two. With a bit of awkward silence, Cherry decides to break it and tries to follow the boy. "Derrick, wait for me!" she says as she follows right behind while the butler straggles behind like a pup to his owner. "Wait, Ms. Cherry! you can't possibly be thinking about following the boy?" he asked in a worried fashion. After all, it was his job to ensure her safety. "Don't worry! I'm sure Derrick won't be as troublesome as his friend," she assures him. Oh, how wrong she was with that last statement...."Alright men! Transfer the hostages to the ship! This thing is ours for the taking." the presumed leader said as all the other pirates responded with a resounding 'aye eye' before starting to put planks to walk on between the two ships as they loaded their hostages one by one. "Hey! We ain't yet!" Tetsuga was lucky to make it in time as he used his magic to fling the hostages back onto the cruise ship. "Are you back for more? then I guess we'll wallop you again!" he says as he sends the pirates who were standing by to attack the man. they started to run at him at full speed as they raised their pirate sabers up high, ready to cut down the man. Derrick had also arrived along with Cherry and her butler as they began looking at the action from afar and behind a crate."Are you sure we should be doing this?" Cherry asked, as if worried they would be caught. but Derrick was sure enough that the hiding spot was far away so that they wouldn't be detected. "I'm really questioning your motives here, Ms. Cherry," the butler also added to the conversation, which was met with a shush from the heir. While that was happening, they watched as Tetsuga easily dodged a downward slash before kicking them down to the ground from their backs. While he was turned, however, a pirate decided to sneak up from behind and strike at him, but the man was quick to stop it as he held their arm up, preventing any downward movement. He then sends a punch to their gut before turning with them as he throws them towards the leader, who dodges as easily as he did, with the pirate landing straight on their face."Well, aren't you flashy with your statements?" The lead complements as he watches Tetsuga easily dispatch his comrades. "All right, round 2, then," he concludes as Tetsuga sprints towards him as they start to fight each other. Tetsuga throws an upward jab, and the leader steps to the side to dodge it. The pirate then unsheathes his private sword, which the lad blocks with his elbow, which he follows up with a headbutt, sending their heads reeling back. but they were able to recover from it as they hit them back by whipping their saber handle towards their heads. Tetsuga prompt dodges it by whipping his head to the side before sending a straight punch to theirs. the pirate maneuvers under it and scratches Tetsuga on his calf as a big gash gets cut. "Gah!" the man yelled in pain, but the pirate wasn't done yet. they then proceeded to dodge two more hits, which earned them two more counter slashes before the pirate spun around them, which gave him the chance to pull out his ace."Tough luck!" the pirate said as he pulled out a bright orange stone, which he tossed up between the two before taking over behind his blast proof coat. "Oh shi-" Tetsuga's eyes widen. the stone explodes in his face, sending both flying in opposite directions, with the pirate sustaining little to no injuries while Tetsuga had to deal with the brunt of it all. "Gough!" he exclaimed as he crashed into a wall after being flung away again by the blast. this time, he didn't easily get up, as the gash on his calf was making it hard to do so. "Damn it all..." he curses as he tries to recover while the pirate stands up all mighty. while this happened, Derrick watched as his comrade got taken out by the pirate. he wanted to intervene so badly, but Tetsuga said this fight was personal, so he wouldn't want to step in and hog the spotlight. though for one of them, she didn't think the same as him, as she instinctively shouted from behind their hiding spot."Get up, you lazy bum! oops..." She immediately knew her mistake as she quickly shut up while Derrick and her own butler tried to make her pipe down. though it was far too late as a pirate crewmate spotted them and started marching in their direction. "Hey, we missed some!" they said as he shoved the crate away to reveal the three hiding behind it. "Get away from here, you rapsacalliwag!" the butler quickly sprung to action as he tried to apprehend the pirate. but they were too quick with their reaction as they sidestepped before slashing the butler on his back. "Archibald!!" Cherry screamed in worry as she watched her butler go down. this then prompts the pirate to go to her. "ooh, a princess! quite a hostage, hehe!" they laugh as they readied to take her along with the other hostages, but Derrick was able to make quick work of him as he heel kicked them in the groin before, sticking his sleeping agent into their nose as soon as they crouched down to hold their groin in pain."What the-" was all they said before their eyes involuntary shut before falling over; asleep. "Nighty night." Derrick says as they hit the floor with Cherry staring in awe. this little scuffle, however, was taken notice of by the leading pirate as he glanced in their direction. "Well, well, we really do have some left on this side. I'll take care of that..." The leading pirate smiles mischievously as he approaches. Halfway through, however, he was met with a tackle by Tetsuga, who managed to get up in time and ram them towards a still-intact railing. "Derrick!" he shouts as he threatens the pirate to punch overboard and into the sea. but they were one step ahead of him as they continued to tussle with one another. Tetsuga sends a straight, which he dodges by stepping to the side before whipping him in the shoulder blade. this made the man turn around, only to be met by a whip to the face, sending them rocking back and holding onto the railing as they hung over the water. once Tetsuga was dealt with, it was onto Derrick, who was now facing the pirate leader by himself while Tetsuga recovered."Let's see if you're as tough as your friend..." the pirate says with a sly smirk as he approaches the boy while Cherry stands by her butler's, forced to watch. Derrick couldn't help but gulp at the predicament he's in, but he manages to maintain his signature smile.
