Fae's parents also got outside the carriage and walked over to Finn and Fae.
Finn let go of Fae to greet her parents, but she remained glued to him, so he just carried her in his arms.
"First, let me apologize for attacking you without hearing your explanation. I am sorry."
The king apologized, but he didn't bow his head because a king doesn't bow his head to anyone, and Finn knew that, so he didn't mind.
"It's alright. It hurt a little, but I am okay."
Finn smiled and nodded.
"I am Finn, by the way."
Introducing himself, Finn looked at the handsome man in front of him that he didn't even dream of meeting in his previous life.
"Erelith Silverleaf. King of the elves and father of Fae."
Erelith was a tall elf with short silver hair. He had light blue eyes just like Fae, and his face was just like a model's.
Finn knew that Erelith was pretty old by human standards, but because the elves had a high lifespan, he didn't have a single wrinkle on his face.
He was also dressed in a gray Elvish tunic, and his build wasn't large, but that didn't mean that he wasn't strong.
After all, he was currently the most powerful elf on the Elvish continent.
They shook hands, and Erelith felt his eyebrow twitch when he saw how his daughter kept tightly hugging Finn, but it was his fault, so he didn't say anything.
"I am Fae's mom, and my name is Lusha Silverleaf. Nice to meet you, Finn."
Fae's mother also walked to shake Finn's hand.
She had a melodious voice and a kind smile.
Lusha didn't have the typical silver hair that the elvish royal family had. That was because she was from a noble elf family, and she got married to Erelith, who was already a king.
Whenever a child with elvish royal blood was born, it would always have silver hair no matter what, so even if the king married a person with golden colored hair, their children would inherit the silver hair.
While shaking her hand, Finn was a little stunned because Lusha's looks rivaled Sophie's.
Her golden, long, wavy hair that reached her hips looked like wheat stalks during a summer morning and her face was so perfect that Finn couldn't spot a single pimple.
With her jade-green eyes, adorable nose, soft red lips, and slightly reddened cheeks, she looked like someone that every female celebrity would be jealous of.
She wore a light green dress that complimented her gorgeous eyes, and with her breathtakingly curvy figure, Finn understood why elves were viewed as the pinnacle of beauty.
Lusha's hand was so soft that he forgot he was still holding it and just kept staring at her, admiring her perfect face.
Suddenly the little cute creature that was clinging to him slapped his hand away from her mother's hand.
"No!"
Fae pouted while looking at Lusha.
"Oh my."
Her mother didn't mind Finn holding her hand because he was the one who saved her daughter, but it seemed to her that Fae minded a lot.
"You can't have him, mom!"
"I can't have who, darling?"
Lusha smiled at her adorable daughter.
"You can't have big brother Finn because he will marry me in the future!"
Once, Fae said that Finn's forehead started to sweat, and Fae's father glared murderously at Finn.
He was really close to taking his sword out and killing him again.
Finn knew that what Fae was feeling was most likely what little girls felt when they said they would marry their father in the future, but in a situation where she said it about someone who wasn't part of her family and in front of her parents at that, made the situation a little awkward.
"I see so you love your new big brother, Fae?"
Lusha, on the other hand, found the situation very entertaining.
"Yes!"
Fae vigorously nodded her head.
"Then we should plan your wedding!"
Hearing that, Fae jumped off of Finn and went to hug her mom.
"I knew mom would understand me!"
Lusha began petting her daughter while smiling, but Erelith was feeling his nerve endings snap.
He started grinding his teeth while trying to keep his friendly smile and looked at Finn.
"Let's go back to the palace. We have a LOT to talk about."
He went to pat Finn's shoulder in a friendly manner, but then squeezed it, and Finn could swear that he heard something snap.
"I- I can explain, sir."
Finn tried to speak, but Erelith leaned in to whisper in Finn's ear.
"Oh, you should pray that you can. Because if you can't explain why my thirteen-year-old daughter wants to marry you, then I don't care if you are immortal. I will just keep killing you until your brain turns into mush."
Finn felt a chill run down his spine, and he weakly nodded his head.
They then entered the carriage, and Finn started thinking of ways he could explain everything.
Meanwhile, Fae and Lusha were discussing what type of wedding cake Fae would have at her wedding.
Erelith couldn't take it anymore and looked at Lusha.
"Lusha, why are you planning Fae's wedding? She is thirteen!"
"Well, we got married when I was seventeen and you were twenty, so what's weird about it?"
Lusha frowned and crossed her hands.
Fae looked at her mother and copied her, so now Erelith had both his wife and daughter looking at him with a frown.
"This and that are two completely different things! And I refuse to accept that Fae will ever find a man."
"Are you saying that our royal family will die out?"
Lusha frowned even harder, and Erelith started panicking because the last thing he wanted was to anger his kind wife.
"N- No! I mean… Okay! Fae can find a husband, but once she is older and with someone who is closer to her age."
Erelith then looked at Finn.
"How old are you, boy?"
"Nineteen, sir."
Finn quickly answered, not wanting to join their argument even though it was his fault that they were arguing.
"See? He is six years older than Fae! And he is a human who can live only up to around one hundred years. Fae is an elf, and a royal one at that, so she will at least live for one thousand years! What will she do if she marries someone who will only be with her for one tenth of her life?"
Erelith tried to bring out a logical argument, but that only made everything worse.
Fae didn't know that Finn could only live up to around a hundred years, so she started crying while her mom was hugging her and shaking her head at Erelith.
Realizing what he had done, Erelith quickly tried to comfort Fae, and Finn, who was the cause of everything, just kept praying for Fae to stop crying because the more she cried, the angrier Erelith would get at him and the more he would want to kill him.
Finn didn't like feeling the pain of being cut, and feeling it twice in one day wasn't something he looked forward to.
They soon arrived in the palace, and Fae stopped crying after Erelith promised her that he would "think about it," but he knew that there was nothing to think about, and he was hoping that whatever romantic emotion she felt towards Finn would quickly pass.
---
Sitting down in the dining hall, Erelith looked at Finn, who was now ready to speak because he had prepared a lot of different ways to describe his and Fae's situation when he was sitting in the carriage.
"Let's start with your immortality. How did you do it?"
Erelith decided to ignore his personal feelings and first ask about something that concerned his country, as a true king should do.
Finn couldn't talk about Earth or about the game Second Life because that was forbidden, so he said what he could.
He explained that there were other people like him, and they were called players. He then went on to explain how they would revive after each death in a graveyard, and with every revive, they would get weaker.
Normally, revealing this information would have meant that he was shooting himself in the foot, but Erelith was one of the most capable kings in the entire Second Life, and most importantly, he was a kind man and not a tyrant like the kings of some races.
So, Finn knew that Erelith wouldn't lust for his power and instead he would use these players as an undying army, which the players wouldn't mind since they would get experience and items for it.
"I see. I will talk about this with my advisers. Now for the next topic, tell me how you met Fae and all the events that happened until you arrived on the Elvish continent."
Fae was the one to talk first. She explained what exactly had happened to her teacher and how she was treated.
Erelith was a smart man, so he knew not to blame the entire human race for it and didn't immediately attack Finn after hearing how the other humans treated his daughter.
Once she got to the part where she walked up to the auction stage, Finn explained that he had used his influence and wealth to buy Fae, clothe her, feed her, and take care of her.
His reasoning was that he knew how kind elves were, and he also found it disgusting that a young child like her was being sold like livestock, so he took great care of her.
After that, he explained that he took her back to the Elvish continent the day after the auction was held because he wanted her to eat a little before the journey.
Throughout his explanation of how he had taken care of Fae, Lusha had a gentle smile while looking at him because she was thankful to Finn for showing her daughter love and care.
Finn ended the explanation with how he was killed as soon as he delivered her to them, and Erelith felt pretty bad.
Erelith knew that Finn was immortal now, but he still felt bad about slicing Finn in half when he did nothing wrong and, on the contrary, showed nothing but kindness to his daughter.
"Alright, we will launch an investigation and kill anyone who has dared to touch my daughter."
He coldly stated, and a guard that was standing next to him nodded and left the room, already understanding that Erelith was indirectly ordering him.
"Last thing."
After the guard left, there were only four people in the room, so he looked at Finn with a frown.
"What did Fae mean when she said that she would marry you?"
"I meant what I said, dad!"
Fae jumped up and shouted.
"I am not asking you, Fae. I am asking Finn."
Erelith calmly spoke, but his stone face was hiding his anger.
He was an overprotective father, and he didn't want his daughter marrying someone when she was that young.
"About that… There is something I forgot to tell Fae."
"What?"
All of the members of the royal family looked at Finn with eyes filled with curiosity.
"I already have a girlfriend."
"…"
Finn awkwardly chuckled while scratching the back of his head with his hand, and he could see how the facial expressions of the people in front of him changed.
Erelith's scary face turned into a relieved smile, Lusha's smile turned into a sad pout, and Fae's curious smile turned into a bewildered look as she stared at Finn with her mouth wide open.
Fae then started making sounds with her mouth still ajar and her lips slightly shaking.
"huh? HUH?! WHAAAT???!!!"
