The Funeral

As Anna was crying in the arms of a family member, she began to remember all the moments she and her father had spent. When she was bullied in high school and how he fought for her rights. When she got her first boyfriend and he was beaten up by her father. And when she lost her first puppy and he helped her find the puppy. Anna couldn't stop crying, as they brang in the coffin and the priest went in front of it.

"It is said to say that yesterday, William Walkersberg Smith has passed away, he was a dear friend, family, uncle and believe father to us. He cared for all of us and made sure we had the greatest love and support we could get. It all started when he had a heart attack, something definitely shocked him and then yesterday it was confirmed by the police that he was murdered. It's just so much to handle. We hope they find something and bring that criminal to justice. You may now place the roses on top of the coffin." The priest said, as everyone stood up and went to place their roses. Anna then dropped hers and ran off as they called her name.

Anna sat on her bench, crying, non-stop thinking about all the moments she had with her father as the priest appeared in front of her. 'Hey Baby girl, how are you.' 'Oh, I'm sad and I miss him so much, I never even got the chance to say sorry.' Anna said as she sat her face on the priest's shoulder. 'I know sweetie, it's hard for all of us, he was such a great man.' 'I feel so weak, I don't even know how I'm going to finish paying his hospital bills.' 'Well, use the money he left for you.' 'He left me money.' 'Yeah, well didn't you withdraw it.' 'I didn't even know.' 'Well, someone definitely did it.' 'But who...?' Anna wondered. Anna then knew the only one who has access to her father's money was her one and only -

"What the fuck, Mom?"

"What's wrong, sweetie?"

"How could you take dad's money."

"What are you talking about, it was mine anyway."

"You've become such a bitch."

"Watch your language, young lady."

"Fuck you, you better give me the money, you left him in the hospital and all of the sudden you don't even attend his funeral and take his money."

"Im sorry sweetie, I'm afraid I can't do that." Anna's mom said as she hung up.

When Anna heard that she hung up the phone, Anna threw her phone as it hit the tree and broke into pieces. 'Whoa, Anna you need to come down.' 'Don't you dare tell a woman to come down, you shit!' Anna said as she went in her cab and he accelerated off.

As Sam and Janice were about to enter the office, Janice stood back as she dialled Anna's phone number and it went straight to voicemail. 'Hey, Everything okay?' Sam asked. 'No, my assistant is answering her phone, since yesterday night.' 'Well, the presentation starts in five minutes, just order food, and I'll prepare the files.' Sam said as he left. Janice got pissed as she opened the messaging app and sent Anna a harsh text, while she entered Lopez Constructions.

When she was finally done with presenting the new model of the house, the clients clapped, went for lunch as they shook hands with Sam tieing the knot and leaving. 'That was amazing, you should keep doing that.' 'Yeah, thanks.' 'Any news from her.' 'Nope, still on delivered but not read.' 'I think you should check up on her.' 'Urgh, please.' said Janice as she left, while Sam smiled.

As Mr Venter and Jessica got into the office, Jessica quickly took a poster of the city's map. 'Whoa, this is a little too much.' 'Listen, I think we should build it now near this place.' 'But there are only wealthy people there.' 'Exactly, I need the mall to make money now, plus I don't want any games or more than three restaurants, I believe we'll have more stores and grocery stores.' 'But that's not the plan.' 'Are you disagreeing with me?' 'Yes, that's not how Sam would've wanted it.' 'You do know I have my henchmen on speed dial.' 'Sorry, I meant, I agree and we should build it now.' 'Great, I'll call the BOP Constructions.' Jessica said as she picked up the landline and called them, whilst Mr Venter shed tears.

Anna headed to her friend, Mary, she was rethinking about if what she was doing is right. After giving it a second thought, she then went in and made sure her mother had to pay for what she had done. As she entered Mary's place, Mary ran quickly to her to hug her with joy. 'Oh-my-Gosh, I can't believe it's you, where have you been, Anna?' 'You know busy.' 'Oh, how's life, by the way?' Mary asked. Anna stood there speechless as she remembered everything she went through with Lance, Sam, Chloé, her mom, her brother and of course, Jessica. 'Let's just say, it's been crazy.' 'What do you mean?' 'Listen, Mary, I need you to do this for me.' 'I can't believe it, you came back just to use my talent, fuck off.' 'Please, Mary.' Anna begged. 'No, you're such a bitch.' Mary said as she pulled Anna by her hand and pushed her out of her house. Anna stood there and took a breather as she knocked on her door, 'I'll tell you everything, please just let me in.' Anna said as Mary let her in.

30 MINUTES LATER...

Mary's mouth was wide open after she heard everything Anna said, 'You're clearly lying.' 'I swear I'm not, didn't you see the news?' 'I'm a hacker, why should I watch the news.' 'I don't think - You know what, leave it, will you help me?' 'Sure, I didn't know you were going through all of that.' 'Well, don't worry, I'm fine.' Anna said as Mary took her mom's phone number and took it down. 'There we go, 84 Mills Street.' 'Where is that?' 'Only about six blocks from here, I suggest you take Ridy.' 'But I don't-' 'I'm a hacker, I'll get you a ride, don't worry.' 'Thanks.' 'Just go one block from here, I don't want anything to know my location.' 'Um, okay.' Anna said as she raised her eyebrows.

As Anna arrived, she saw a huge house that was painted blue and two kids running out as they yelled, 'Mommy!'. Anna stood there shocked, she didn't know what to say, it was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. As her mom came out of the house, she stormed toward her and pushed her to the ground. As a man tried to pick Anna up, Anna then kicked him by his private part and punched him in the face. She then grabbed her mother by her collar as she almost hit her, Anna stepped back as she began to cry. Anna's mom then held Anna as she took her into the house and placed her on the couch and sat next to her.

'Anna, talk to me.' 'Fuck you.' 'What have I done?' 'How dare you, how dare you ask that question and act as if everything is okay. Do you have no shame?' 'I do but, Anna please try to understand.' 'Where is the money?' 'Don't you want to know why I took the money?' 'Not actually.' 'Anna, please, listen to me.' 'I'm done. I'm leaving.' Anna said as she stood up. But her mom pulled her back to the seat as she said, 'He cheated on me since you were born. He abused me when you went to school and he forced me to act when you called me on the phone and that's why he ended up in hospital and... died. I'm been through a lot, but finally, Elliot gave me love and his kids, they love me.' 'Fuck you, mom.' Anna said as she removed her wrist from her mom's hand and left.

As Anna was walking home, she bumped into someone. 'I-I'm sorry.' 'No, you're not, what the fuck is up with you?' 'Oh, you, I'm sorry, I can't come to work yet.' Anna said as she opened her door. 'What!?, what's wrong?' 'I can't tell you, I just can't come to work right now, I'm very tired.' 'Hey, you can talk to me.' 'No I can't, you don't understand, just fire me because I'm tired.' 'Anna, I said talk to me.' 'Fine, you really want to know, my father's dead and, and my mom took all the money he left for me and worse of all, she went to start a new life and, she made my father have a heart attack then killed him.' Anna said as Janice stood there speechless. 'You see, I told you, you wouldn't understand.' 'Hey, I just got my first pay, you want to go to the arcade?' 'Aren't we too old to be playing at an arcade?' 'Not actually.' 'Cool.' Anna said as Janice grabbed her hand and caught a taxi to the nearest arcade.

They played everything, Arm-Strong, Megamonkey and the best one. Pac-Man. Anna and Janice then went to the bar and drank a lot. After drinking, they went to the dance floor and started dancing with each other. Jumping and shaking their hips as Anna slipped and Janice caught in her arms. They then began to laugh as they continued dancing. I could tell you now that they were very drunk.

As they left the bar, Janice caught a taxi and took her to the main building in town which was so high up and in the air. As they gazed at the moon, Anna began to cry as Janice held her in her arms and Anna rested her head on Janice's shoulders. 'It's going to be okay, Anna.' 'But what should I do, she using well I am just here with nothing.' 'Well, there is something you could do?' 'What?' 'You could sue her.' Janice said as Anna lifted her head and grinned. 'You are one dangerous lady.' 'Thanks, so are you gonna do it?' 'Definitely, it's time my mom pays and my father rests in peace.' Anna said as she left Janice.

Janice's heart started to beat hard as she saw Anna leave in slow motion and realised something as she threw up.
