Chapter VIII

Jake was sitting, alone, as he watched the brother and sister leave. As he stood up to stretch he realized that he forgotten to lock the elevator, as he hears them open. Cursing himself silently, he picks up his katana and unsheathes it out of instinct, and walks into the hall, expecting trouble. Instead he finds a woman who is only a few years older then himself. Jake did a one over to make sure she wasn't Infected.

As he was doing this he couldn't help but realize that she was a beauty of a woman. She had black hair, deep forest green eyes, and a good complexion. She was a few inches shorter then him. And he noticed her feminine features as well. He noticed that her breasts were large but not too large. And her other curves were well honed. And for the first time since the outbreak at his school he felt a raw, aching hunger. As the night progress he battled this hunger for he didn't want to break his promise to Tori.

"Hey you, what you doing here?" Jake asks. He's short on the pleasantries for he doesn't know if she is friend or foe, or if she is in fact infected with the disease.

"I do have a name, you know." She promptly replies.

"Well I don't know it and in all honesty I don't care about it, tell me your business then I'll decide if you live or not." Jake says impatiently.

"Fine, all I was trying to do was find a nice safe hovel to hole myself in for a little while, you just so happened to be here too. Happy?" she replies sharply. Jake thought to himself as she was saying this,"This is going to be a long night."
