Chapter 22 : Tekio
"PUSH, PUSH, PUSH!" Kobe Bryant can be seen shouting at Arthur who was lifting weights, "Bam" The gym doors are suddenly pushed open Kobe and Arthur who drops the weights look at the source of the noise, a sweaty Devion appears with a smiling Jackson following behind him, "How is he so fast!" Devion Frustratingly says as he takes a seat.
"That's good, if you want to be able to pull off those moves you show when you play, you need your body to be strong enough to handle the repercussions making Jackson the perfect training partner for you," Kobe says and gets a basketball and heads to the court, "Why do you need to have our powers sealed?" Devion asked the smiling Jackson after making sure Kobe had left the room, "well that would make everyone who plays us become depressed at being beaten by 6-year-olds plus not all your powers are sealed" Jackson replies to which Devion frowns and says "who cares how those people feel, it's not fair that I have to weaken myself so that their self-esteem doesn't crumble" Jackson relents and accepts to let them use some of their power "Fine, okay you don't have to train your body to use those tough basketball moves and Arthur you can use your misery skill, now I believe we need to go play a match," Jackson says and brings a mask out of thin air to which Devion smiles as a mask covers his face.
"look those were the kids I was telling you about, they're crazily good at the game, you see the purple-haired one if you go into the paint with him you're gonna feel fear, man when I usually play against them I don't even dare go into the paint and if you see him coming down into the paint you better move man's a gigantic wrecking ball that's moving at a 100 mph," Kobe says as he proudly looks onto Arthur, Jackson, and Devion, "Don't you think you exaggerating a little bit Kobe, they just six-year-olds," someone says with the group also voicing it out to Kobe.
"Yeah I know, that doesn't mean I'm exaggerating though like look you see the green-haired one, I know he looks calm right now but when he gets on the court he goes beserk able to get the ball into the basket, no one's able to guard him he might even give some of you trouble" to which the group grumbles.
"Alright, Alright you'll about to see right now," Kobe says as he turns to pay attention to the match between Arthur, Jackson, and Devion "What about the other one, if what you say is true, then don't you think both of them against him is unfair," someone says as the point to Jackson, Kobe just laughs as he looks onto the match that about to begin.
"Check up boys," Jackson says as he passes the ball to Devion, devion catches the ball and dribbles despite his usual behavior he doesn't talk trash but simply dribbles and around finding ways to around Jackson's defense. Arthur dashes into the paint with Jackson trailing behind him, Arthur sets himself underneath the net, Devion looks at Arthur who simply stands underneath the net with Jackson a little bit in front of him, Devion jumps shooting the ball but instead of a swish a bonk is heard as the ball bangs against the hoop and falls off. With blazing speed Jackson snatches the ball running to the three-point lands with Devion chasing after Arthur remains inside the paint, Jackson dribbles with the ball going in between his legs then he mutters "jump".
Suddenly he appears in the air in front of the net, his hands stretch out as he tries to lay the ball into the net but a wall appears in front of him growing ever larger the wall cast's a shadow making Jackson look nothing more than a speck of dust, Arthur grabs the ball quickly passing it to Devion who quickly passes it back to Arthur for him to lay it in but a hand stops it from reaching Arthur, Jackson was able to reach Arthur after he had repositioned himself and changed the ball's trajectory making it go out of bounds. Arthur grabs the ball and passes to Devion who sets himself in and stares down Jackson he starts to dribble and rushes to Arthur who sets a screen but Jackson is able to get around it, Devion again set's himself in and then he mutters "Jump" and disappears just like Jackson but this time he's able to lay the ball in, Devion quickly return back and passes the ball to Jackson for the game to resume
For the next 30 minutes, the brothers try and try to score against one another with the score resulting in only 7 and 6 with Arthur and Devion winning the game a loud "BZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTT!!", "Alright boy's that's it great match again, I'm proud to say I'm your coach, go get dressed your parents are here to take you to the airport," Kobe says to the kids who in turn rush to a room to go and get changed. "Are they really 6-year-olds?" someone says from the awestruck group behind Kobe, "hehe I told you" Kobe says as he walks away.
[7 years later]
"Hey Mom does this look good on me," a red-headed kid with his rough and sharp looking hair reaching his shoulders says to a purple-headed lady, "No Dev, wear some sleaves and a sweater it's going to be cold and I don't know why you insist on that crazy hair cut, why'd you even dye your hair" the kid just smiles as his mothers complain and runs up to his room, "Morning Mom," a kid with sharp hair says to the purple-haired lady who smiles but still frowns "Why'd you have to dye it silver Jack?" the lady says to the kid but Jack smiles and takes out some cereal, "Good Morning Mother" a 6ft tallboy with purple hair just like the purple-haired lady says to her, "Ah at least one of my kids loves me, oh and Art don't read in class that's disrespectful to the teachers and I don't want any calls coming in" Art nods and pulls out a comic book with Captain America plastered on it".
"Alright boy's hurry up your father waitng outside!!" the lady yells to the kids as Dev comes rushing down the stairs with a long sleeve shirt and a sweater, the each grab a black bag and head out with the purple lady smilign as she watches them leave.
"Alright boy's ready," a green-haired man says excitingly to the three kids, with Jack and Dev smiling at him but Arthur just nods. "Alright no fights," the man says as he looks at Dev, "make sure you pay attention in class and respect the teachers," he says as he looks at dev and Arthur, Dev looks away from his gaze and whistles and Arthur seems to not care as he intently reads his comic who just look away from his gaze "and no belittling kids," the man says seriously as he intently gazes at Jack who just smiles at him. "Okay the name of the school you're going to is called Tekio, they have a good basketball team and a good record, so that should be good for you guys" at the name of the school Tekio the three boys all look at their father with Devion smiling crazily, Jackson retains his usual smile and Arthur looks at him and smirks. "Here we come GOM they whisper under their breath.
