Emma's first week at Holderlin Incorporation was almost complete, it has been one fruitful week. She has a non-stop meeting with the key management team of Holderlin to understand the current company affairs and businesses.
It's a Friday lunch break, she takes the opportunity to go out to the kindergarten in town to arrange the enrollment for her triplets. It's already in April, the triplets had left out from school for more than 3 months now. They have to start school on Monday next week.
Since they had already settled down in their new home, and Emma also had bought a new car for an easy commute, it was a perfect time for the kids to start schooling too. Emma was satisfied with the arrangement, and all followed as per her plan.
Before going home from work, Emma stopped by the supermarket to buy some groceries. Since it's Friday and finally settling down in Darby City, Emma planned to have a BBQ party with her family tonight. The kids must be excited she said silently.
"I'm home," Emma announced soon after she opened the door to enter their new home.
"Mommy's home!" Emma heard someone answer. Not long after, she saw the triplets running towards her.
This scene is one of her sources of happiness. "Mommy miss you guys so much, come here kiddos. I need a group hug." Emma opened her arms and took the triplets in her hug.
Rose showed up from the kitchen direction and smiled looking at the lovely scene.
"Mom, let's have some BBQ tonight. I managed to buy the necessary ingredients for BBQ." Emma gave a happy grin to her mom.
"Alright. Let me prepare the electric grill and steamboat appliances." Rose agreed happily to her daughter's request.
Emma managed to secure a rental semi-single detached house near her office. The house has 3 bedrooms, fully furnished and it's perfect for her family for now. The master bedroom was taken by Emma and the other two rooms were for her mom and the kids respectively. Emma spent her money wisely. She's taking care of a family of 5. She has no choice but to be a little calculative on their living expenses.
"Kiddos, let me tell you, Mommy managed to enroll you guys in the kindergarten school today. Three of you will start school next week, Monday." Emma announced it to her children calmly.
Eric responds lazily to her mom, "Oh, come on Mommy! I hate school."
"Eric, how can you say that when you never went to school before?" Emma replied and looked at him with a smile on her lips.
Earl looked at her siblings and said, "Let's go to school brothers, it's time to give grandma a break. She has been taking care of us for more than 5 years now. She needs a break too, right Mommy?"
"Yes, you are right, Earl." Emma looks at her eldest son with a proud smile. Earl's attitude is mature and reflects him as the eldest brother compared to his 2 younger brothers,
"Alright kiddos, no argument on mommy's decision to send you guys to school. Now, you guys go and watch some cartoons on TV. I have to help your grandma for dinner." Emma stood up and went to the kitchen.
After 30 minutes of fighting a war in the kitchen (LOL), dinner is finally ready.
"Earl, Ean, Eric...dinner is ready," Rose called her grandsons from the kitchen.
Emma looks at her son's direction coming to the kitchen. They obediently sit at the table. Emma somewhat feels ironic and thankful whenever he sees this scene. The triplets grew up with a very good temperament and did not make things difficult for her and their grandma most of the time. They never really make a fuss, are easy to take care of, and are always organized. This somewhat made Emma's life as a single parent more smooth and easier. She always feels blessed to have them as her sons.
'I love them so much. I will always cherish this moment. I promise to spend more time with them as time flies so fast. They are 5 years old now.' Emma inwardly monologues in her mind.
