The Realisation

Josh's POV

"Shit," I wince, as Sophia beings to ice my cuts.

Ryan, Ryan loves her. I don't know if I can compete with that. But I love her, and I want to see if it could work. I never want to break her heart, even though I already have.

"Alright! I'm finished. Do you want to?" She signals to the bed

"No, I just want to sleep. And you should too."

She stands up,

"You know what, I don't think this is going to work."

"What, why?"

"You're in love with someone else Josh. We had a good time don't get me wrong. But when you're with me,"

She holds my face in her hands,

"I deserve your full attention."

And she's gone. Do I have a curse with girls?

Recently they're all starting to leave.

I pick up my phone, knowing exactly who to call.

"Hey Steph, wanna come to mine?"

"I'm busy"

"Busy doing what?"

"Trying to figure out what to wear to Josh's house" She giggles.

"Shut the fuck up. And hurry up."

We hang up. And I smile, because my favourite ex is coming. Stephanie.

She was my first and last girlfriend, we ended on mutual terms because we decided that we enjoyed being friends with benefits, than being exclusive.

But now, I'm in a point in my life where I want to commit and be in a relationship, I just hope that she feels the same.

*Doorbell rings
