Chapter 4 - Curious Eyes

Chapter 4 - Curious Eyes

While holding my breath, I hurried to the kitchen. That was very intense. I never thought that she'd be back here at this hour, and I didn't even know I could pull that off!

I saw her take her seat, and as I approached her, I was able to see up close the vertical tattoo she has on the left side of her nape. It was some Chinese or Japanese character I don't know but what I do know is she looks hot with it. She has a little piercing on her left eyebrow, and oh my lord, I just can't. She looks so damn hot.

After just watching her walk by and crushing on her for a couple of months, I was finally able to speak with her for the first time. After waiting for so long, I was about to give up when they never so much as glanced at the shop. The likelihood of them entering and making a purchase was dwindling daily.

She was always with the tall guy, and I don't know why, but she'd always make me wait for her to walk past the shop. They frequently ride that stupid e-scooter, which I have grown to despise because I always miss them, and occasionally, they just pass by on foot.

The first time I saw her was when we were checking out the place to help my sister decide. When my sister decided to open a café, she discovered this house was for sale. It is a good place to run a business, so that's one reason we decided to lease it.

I recently received my degree, and I'm currently looking for employment. In fact, it's a factor in our decision to make this location our home. I can walk there in a few minutes and get to the company I'm interested in. We couldn't have found a place better than this, which made me ponder whether I had exhausted my luck.

Apparently not, since I am going on a lunch date with my crush! Well, it's only a crush for now, and who knows if she's straight? I mean, it's not weird for a girl to wear turtlenecks and polo shirts. It's rather uncommon, but my gaydar is pointing at her, so I'd rather take the chance. Of course, without forgetting rule number one: don't fall for straight-tomboy girls.

She was walking like she owned the place, without a care in the world, and I just lost myself following her stride past me. She didn't see me because I was behind my sister talking to the owner of the house.

A handsome Junoesque woman. She is roughly a head taller than me despite the fact that I am 167 cm. Her light-colored languid eyes that will suffocate you without warning and her short, jet-black hair made her look incredibly attractive. She smiled, and the sincerity in her expression was evident in the way her eyes curved. She was rocking those trousers and polo with confidence. She just screams gay in my eyes, and I fell for her right there and then.

Following the purchase, the renovation began. Even though we were all busy, I made it a habit to wait for her upstairs on my balcony in the hopes that she would glance up whenever she passed by. Unfortunately, she never did, much to my disappointment.

I was just a lonely art student looking out the window, hoping to see my prince.

There was also a time when I saw her with a Botring art tube on her back, which made my curiosity spark more about whether she was an art student as well or maybe an engineer.

I just can't help but not wonder about her, which she always manages to do.

The shop has been there for so long that they haven't even noticed it, despite the fact that I've always wanted them to visit and place an order. Don't they like coffee? Who doesn't look at the establishments and stores they pass by? Are they insane or what? When I'm alone and looking out the window at the cruel daylight and the lonely night sky, a lot of questions come to mind.

Alas! Just when I was about to give up, I saw them walking towards me.

You wouldn't believe how excited and nervous I was during that first meeting, but the tall guy had to ruin it by requesting a divorce, implying that they are married! Well, that could be a brilliant idea.

However, I still won't believe that. I can smell her from a mile away, which I did literally just this morning, and mind you, she smells fruity.

And the gods may really be on my side because they are not really married! I can't contain the happiness that I covered my face with my hands while trying to conceal a squeak.

My sister shook me out of dreamland, asking if I'm okay, and I just nodded, saying, "Sis, my soulmate is here, and we're having a date!"

Her sister playfully scoffed at her and said, "Alright, calm your ass down. Who, where, and when?"

"She's at table 5, waiting for her fish and chips and fresh orange juice." She replied, with excitement clearly evident in her voice. "I'll be having my lunch with her, so I'll have the same, please."

My sister peered out the circular window strategically placed at the kitchen's doors.

"Oh, her." She said as if she knew her. She scanned the woman outside like she was some sort of appliance she was about to buy.

"I'm so happy for you, but nothing here is for free." My sister went up to her station and went ahead to prepare my order.

"Of course, I know that! I'll be paying for mine, and I'll let her pay for hers. She might find it weird if I pay for her meal, you know!" I told my sister in a fast and squeaky manner.

I just couldn't contain my excitement when my sister just shook her head and smiled back at me. "Guess I'll put in some extra servings."

"Thanks, sis! Love you!" I kissed her on the cheek and went upstairs to my room to change into some fresh clothes.
