He thought he wouldn't be able to beat Mr Fraer in a fight but if it was a race, he could win against him very easily.
He had not thought for a second that the old man would win against him in a race.
While disappointed, he hung his head low and walked towards Cyril and apologized, "I am sorry, Brother Cyril."
"Huh? Why are you apologizing?" Cyril did not understand.
"Because I lost. Also, I let our enemy win the race," Rian pouted as he looked genuinely sad and disappointed.
"Huh? Our enemy?" Cyril thought for a second before realizing that Rian was talking about Mr Fraer.
For a second he had completely forgotten about the man. During the race, he observed Mr Fraer seriously. But once the race was over, he was busy looking over the bettings. So when Rian came to him and talked, his mind wasn't on Mr Fraer at all, and took him some time to register his words.
He couldn't help but chuckle, "Do you even know his name?"
