Starline Mansion

What's in this room?, Catherine asked out of curiosity when they walked pass a locked room. It doesn't concern you, and you should stay away from this room in the future, Sarah said in a harsh manner, as she scans Catherine from head to toe. People of your class cling to wealth the moment they get a chance, such gold diggers.....Hmph, Sarah said.

Sarah is a middle age woman, she is the head maid and has been the longest serving servant in Starline Mansion.

Ok, Catherine said with her head hung low. I think you've had enough tour of the house you won't last in. let me take you to your buyer's room, Sarah said with mockery as she took Catherine to Kelvin's room. Sarah opened the door to the room and entered. This is the same room I was in when I woke up.... Catherine said to herself.

Catherine frowned as she saw the interior of the room, the only two colours in the room are black and grey, the curtain are closed preventing sunlight from finding it's way into the room.

Catherine walks towards the window and pulls the curtains open. Sarah who was behind her said in a rude manner. You should never open the curtains, always keep them closed, sir doesn't like the reflection of sunlight in the room and don't touch or try to change anything in this Mansion or room. Sir didn't introduce you to us, nor did he give you a proper title so that makes you a nobody here. This Mansion already has it's madam and she will be back soon... Sarah said

Ok, Catherine said as she pulled back the curtains.

Catherine's POV

I simply pulled back the curtains and signed. Sir informed me of the banquet you would be attending with him later this night. The makeup artist and designer will be here at 6:00pm, so you shouldn't be reminded to come down stairs. Sarah said to me in an obnoxious manner and left the room.

I found my walked towards the couch and sat. Why do I keep having this feeling of familiarity with Mr Black?, as if I have had a conversation with him in the past. Why his he willing to help me?, what's his motif. Why did he marry despite being with someone else?. I have so many questions but no one to answer them. I can't take someone else's position nor do I want to used as a substitute. I have to leave this marriage as soon as possible to make room for his lover.

3 Hour Later

Catherine!..... Sarah yelled the moment she opened the door. Catherine!, she called again as she walks towards the sleeping Catherine on the couch. Getting no response Sarah got irritated and walks towards the bed side table, picked up a bottle of water and opened it. She walked back to the couch and pours the whole bottle of water on the sleeping Catherine as she immediately jolts up and wipes the water off her face.

Wakey-Wakey stupid princess, said Sarah in a sarcastic voice. I'm sorry I might have dozed off, I was feeling a little light headed. Catherine said in a vulnerable state as she seats up straight.

The time is 6:33pm, I give you the maximum of 2 minutes to get your lazy butt down stairs, she said in an extremely angry manner as she leaves the room. Catherine immediately ran into the bathroom to get a towel to dry her face and slightly wet hair, she then left the room when she finished.

When she got downstairs to the living room, she was amazed by the number of the people and boxes. She was confused and didn't know what to do when a lady called her.

Miss...over here, said the makeup artist as she gestures her hand towards a seat. please sit down....the makeup artist said. Hello, Catherine greeted as she takes her sit.

Good evening miss , I'm Kelly your new makeup artist hired by Mr Black for all occasions, she said as she ties Catherine's hair into a loose ponytail. What a delicate and bright skin you have, it won't be needing much makeup just a little moisturizer would do, Kelly said confidentially.

She picks up a face mask from a packet and place it on Catherine's face. She then calls her assistant. Dave!, Kelly called. Yes, Kelly what do you need my help with?, a guy in white tight jeans and a pink shirt asked with his hand on his hip.

Style Miss's hair. Can you please stop addressing me as miss, my name is Catherine and you can call me Cathy for short. Ok cathy, I don't think I would love to call you by your name or nickname, Sweetheart suits you best because you are such a sweetheart. Dave said smiling sheepishly, showing off his perfectly arranged white teeth.

Catherine blushes a little and nods her head in approval. So sweetheart I can't style your hair if I don't know the outfit you would wear, so do you have an outfit in mind?. No, Catherine simply and honestly answers. Ok sweetheart that is not a problem cause I have a few dresses with me, would you like to try them on?.

Yes, Catherine answered. Right this way, Dave said as he points towards a rail of hanged dresses. You have a pale skin so I think you should go with something dark...Dave said as he picks up a purple evening dress with a V- shaped neckline and place it in front of Catherine. Too simple, he said as he puts it back and picks another blue dress with puffs. Too cute, he said as he puts it back on the rail, he the picks a red sequin large hemline strapless slit dress.

Perfect, Dave said with a bright smile plastered on his face. Now for your jewelry, Kelly said as she calls another person. Jane, get me the jewelry box!.

A slender looking girl then came with a big box, she placed the box on the floor and opens it. Kelly picks up different pairs of earrings and placed them by her ear. Until she picked up a pair of dangling diamond earrings with a diamond hair pin for her hair. Mr Black personally picked out this diamond earrings and hair pin. It will stand out when it is worn by you.
