Chapter 19 We watched a Boar Get Killed

It was already very late in the night, Iris and Kara guided Levi and helped him because he couldn't walk properly. The stab wound was below his back, it wasn't fatal because the armor still protected him. After a while they rested the took the path the stream led, after getting far away from the place the battle took place, they decided to rest a bit. They should have kept on moving but Levi was getting tired. Iris was exhausted from using his powers and Kara was tired too. Besides their horses ran away when the fight started.

"You know Iris" Levi said as he sat down gently with the help of Kara,"They say that of all the elemental gods, the elemental god of water had the best healing abilities."

Iris looked at levi. He knew what Levi was getting to. He sighed and looked up.

Levi continued, "I said we were going to have a serious talk after the fight. Let's talk."

"My mother told me, I was blessed by the goddess" Iris spoke up,

"We know, you can control water..." Levi said.

"No not like that." Iris said staring directly Into Levi's eyes, "as a child, a celestial BLESSED me"

Levi started to get impatient, "Look iris, don't beat around th... wait. You don't mean.."

Iris nodded.

"A direct blessing" Kara stated, "Why here, why now?"

"And here I was thinking you were the descendant of some great family from beyond the seven kingdoms " Levi said with a light chuckle. Iris looked at him with a little smile.

"You're not that far off" Iris said,

"Huhh, what do you mean? "

Iris sighed, "well, I'm not from beyond the seven kingdoms, but that doesn't mean I'm not from a great family."

"Iris" Levi said slowly "What are you saying?" Kara looked up. She was there when Iris called himself a Blade.

"My father is Steven Blade."

Levi looked stunned for a moment, then he chuckled, "Yeah that....that's alright. You are a prince. The son of the most vile tyrant. Yeah totally normal" Levi smiled and rested his back on a tree.

"Are you okay" Iris asked subtly,

"Oh. No, no I'm not. I just need time to process this."

"Maybe,.. maybe you could change things," Kara said softly,

Iris frowned, "huhh"

Princess Kara lifted her head to look at Iris "Don't you see Iris, this must be why the gods blessed you. You were given this power to be a beacon of hope, if you learn to control this power properly you'd be an unstoppable force. We could take back Dawnville"

"Wait, wai-wait, take back Dawnville?" Iris asked dumbfounded.

"I mean ... you could, it was my home. Our home" Kara stuttered.

Iris sighed, "We need to get some sleep" he lied on the ground and faced the other way.

Levi comforted Kara, "It's going to be fine Kara. But first we have to focus on getting out of here."

It was morning, but the sun wasn't up yet. Iris was awake before Kara and levi. He took off his already damaged armor and his bloody clothes and put them in his storage ring. He cleaned his shoulder length black hair and tied it with a hair band. He cleaned his body at the Creek and wore a set of dull new clothes, just a pair of leather boots, black trousers and a gray short sleeved shirt. He also wore a pair of leather braces. He wore his belt and put his sword in its scabbard by his side.

Levi woke up a bit later. Looking up at the sky through the small pathways in the tree leaves. Iris walked back and helped him to the Creek. He helped him clean up and changed the bandage after cleaning the wound.

"We need to see a real physician Levi," Iris zaid to him while helping him into a shirt, Levi scratched his head. "Yeah…. My hair's grown, I'm gonna need a haircut," Levi replied as he ran his fingers through his long black hair "and I'm gonna need a shave too. Look I have bangs man, could you give me a haircut Iris? " Levi asked. "Yeah, sure why not. It won't be clean though." Iris replied.

While Iris was giving Levi an unprofessional haircut, Kara woke up and also cleaned herself at the Creek after asking the two men to go a bit far from the Creek behind the trees so that they wouldn't peek. She wore a different set of clothes, which Iris handed her.

Kara looked disappointed, "Sigh... these clothes make me look like a man" she said as he wore the long sleeve pale blue shirt and black trousers with a belt. She packed her hair up in a ponytail.

"Unless you want to go back to Curtis to get fancy clothes,you're stuck with this princess" Iris responded.

"Aren't you going to cut your hair?" Levi asked iris

"Why would I cut my hair? "

"Well it makes you look feminine" Levi said with a smile and Kara chuckled at the comment.

"Umn, where's my sword ?" Levi asked as they prepared to leave. "We lost it" Iris said bluntly.

"LOST IT . " Levi yelled "that was a specially custom made basic tier sword made with the core if a basic tier beast"

"Sorry we lost Levi, we were trying not to die." Iris retorted, "well you could have tried not to die and saved my sword"

"This conversation makes absolutely no sense. YOU lost your sword while you were getting kicked around like a ragdoll and fell into the Creek."

"It was a special sword." Levi said and Iris looked like he was about to punch him.

The trio walked for a while until they came onto a path. A cleared path within the forest.

"Oh thank the gods, " Levi said with relief , "this means there's a way out of here."

They kept walking and they soon started hearing sounds of fighting. The three of them exchanged glances and proceeded slowly. Not long soon they saw ahead of them three people. One was a boy he was about seventeen years old. He had long dirty brown hair that reached his shoulders. He wore leather sandals, and a silver vest, he also held a silver double headed two hand axe.

A few feet away from him to his right, was a woman with short black hair, nineteen years old, wearing metal bracelets that almost reached her elbows, and a silver plain breast plate. With leather boots while holding a short sword. And to his far right was another man who looked like the male version of the lady. He wore almost the same armour piece with short black king hair holding a bow and a quiver of arrows on his back.

Levi looked at them frowning while being supported by Iris and kara "They are all wearing normal with a few basic tier enhancements, their weapons look to be basic tier except that axe it looks stronger, probably intermediate tier. And the beast the beast has to be between basic or intermediate tier any tier higher than that would be too much for them with the kind of equipment they have on."

And away from them was a black boar. It had a cut on the side of its face, it was almost four feet tall, three feet wide with two long tusks extending from its mouth. The beast was a few metres away from them. The boar's eyes were red and it looked angrily at the man with the axe. It charged at the man at full speed, when it got to the man, he jumped to his left and rolled away and shouted "NOW PETE. ." Then the man to his left knocked an arrow on his bow and shot it. The arrow struck the beast on the side and sunk into the hide but it seemed to only annoy the beast.

"God I need higher tier arrows, the beast doesn't seem fazed guys'' the man named Pete said.

The beast roared, then turned to face Pete, but behind it the lady struck the beast at its side and her sword sank in a bit deep. The beast roared louder as it shook its body. The lady removed her sword from it's back and tried running off to the side, but it was too late the beast ran at her, a it got close to her Pete shot more arrows at it which only served to annoy it, but did a good job of slowing it down enough for the man with the brown hair to catch up. He swung his axe and hit the boar hard at its back, drawing blood, but the boar roared and kicked him away with its hind leg, "AJAX.." Pete shouted as he shot another arrow, while the lady swung her sword fast, cutting off one of its tusks. This appears to hurt it as black blood oozes out of the severed tusk. The boar backed away and almost stepped on Ajax, the man with the axe, but he quickly rolled out of the way. The lady went quickly to the side of the beast and thrust her sword, this time quickly withdrawing it back and getting out of the way as it shook it's body in pain. "Good one nora" Ajax yelled as he swung his axe from behind, severing one of its legs, as the beast roared and turned to face Ajax. Even on its broken leg it charged, however slowly, Ajax smile and ran at the boar, when he got close, he jumped and used the boars head as springboard, he landed behind the beast, did a quick turn and swung his axe horizontally severing another leg, then he ran to the side and brought his axe down on the beast and cut its head clean off.
