Chaoter 36 The Hunt

General Stone chased after them from behind leading soldiers behind him. They weren't able to out run the archers on horses led by the general.

"ARCHERS, HOLD. ... FIREEEEE"

Iris, Levi and Kara separated and gid behind different trees as hundreds of arrows zoomed past them. "SHIT" Levi exclaimed,

"We are so dead " Iris said as he tried to peek behind the tree when an arrow flew by him, missing him by a hair's breadth. Kara balled her fists and closed her eyes as her heart raced. The arrows stopped raining and they were on the move again. Levi chucked a rolled up scroll to Iris, "put that in your ring it's the map of the great sea," Iris quickly put it in his ring and it vanished. As they moved ahead, they saw more soldiers moving through the forest to their right, and more arrows rained down above them, and there wasn't much trees to stay vehind this time "Uuuhh Iris " Levi yelled, "I know" Iris replied, but this muchore than I've dealt with before." Iris moved his hands up and a small dome of water encased, "it's still too light" Iris gritted his teeth and another barrier appeared above the previous one, then another, and another, abd another. And all of the water barriers merged, forming a dense dome of water that encircled them. The arrows rained down heavily but they either got stuck or bounced off the second it made contact with the dome. The soldiers behind them had almost caught up to them, so they hid behind a rock. Iris quickly brought out scarfs and baggy clothes from his ring. "here, you guys change and move left" Levi frowned,

"What are you doing Iris, your not thinking of-"

"Yes I am. Look they're after me an Kara, but mainly me. The streets are going to be flooded with patrol guards, so you guys need to change, go right and mive swiftly hide your weapons. This is why we asked Johnald to register our passes with fake names. I will go left and cause a commotion pulling them towards me making them think we're still together. They will send soldiers to look for you so you have to move fast, get on the main road in disguises and get to the docks i will meet you there."

"Or you could die" Levi said, "look I promised to travel with you to help you reach-"

"And you will." Iris interrupted"but you also have to remember, you made a promise to our king."

They got changed, they put on their clothes over the ones they are currently wearing.

"Thank you Iris I will never forget this" Kara said.

"Wait for my signal" Iris responded, and walked off. He ran towards the left and saw general Stone with some archers and swordsmen on horses and on foot. 'Oh goddess Salamis give me strength' Iris lifted his hand up to the sky and and water swirled around him and moved above his hand, 'i think I'm running out of chakra, wait the trees'

He moved his hands and touched one, when he pulled his hand back water moved along with it, the tree dried up and crumbled the dust. He closed his eyes and moved his arms around, and all around him water left the bodies of the trees and grass around him causing them to dry up and become husks. A huge stream of water formed and swirled around his body, he moved his hands and they all separated and morphed into hundreds of tiny daggers that floated high above him. He raised his head and shouted, "GENERAL STONE, YOU WANTED ME COME AND GET ME"

Levi turned to face Kara, "I think that's the signal"

"Men this way" general stone led his men toward the voice. Iris spotted them coming, he took a deep breath, raised his hands up and with a wave of his hands every single one of those daggers flew at the men with so much force it knocked them off their horses, but it was unable to penetrate their armor. The more powerful of the bunch were able to knock back a few of the daggers.

"MEN" general Stone spoke, "QI BARRIERS" and almost and a light yellow color formed a wall in front of the soldiers, when the water daggers made contact they dissipated, leaving them ineffective.

Iris was tired, Iris ran. He hid when he saw some soldiers but they spotted him and came sword in hand ready to Finnish him off. The first one ran towards him, but he threw his hand forward, creating a gigantic hand of water. He caught the soldier, lifted him and smacked him into a nearby tree, another lunged at him but he swiftly ducked, formed a fist size water bullet that knock back the soldier. Water swirled around his hands forming countless water bullets that he fired repeatedly knocking back some of them. He moved faster, He saw a hill and new he was close to the main road, but that was when he felt something, a disturbance, he couldn't see it but he could feel it, like something long moving through water, but he felt it behind his head, maybe its because of the moisture in the air. He ducked and rolled to the side, that's when a six feet long purple spear zoomed past his him embedding itself into the ground.

Levi and Kara had no obstructions because the entire army was so focused on the battle in front of them that they failed to notice two missing persons. They climbed out of the forest and got to the main road.

"What about Iris?" Kara asked,

"I will go back for him, the goal right now is to get you to that ship. At least one of us should win today."

As they walked up, they spotted a very familiar cart, being pulled by two very familiar horses, and a very familiar man sitting in front holding the reigns.
