Weak Target

It was silent. The entire gymnasium was in awe at how easily Kayne had been defeated. His loss was even worse than the usual duels with Tessvulin! All of the students knew that his chances of courting the lioness had gone from 1% to 0.0001%. Not being able to defeat an attendant was humiliating. Rumors were going to spread like wildfire.

Now that people knew how strong the Lyon princess' servant was, no more trouble would be headed his way. Shu would be able to laze around for the rest of the school day. The young samurai and his fiancé shared a look before smiling. He then sat back against the wall and closed his eyes. Everyone stared at the unconscious vampire on the ground. His drool was leaking onto the floor.

Lulu quietly thanked the arrogant noble for taking her place. She would much rather stay beside her best friend Tess, than get humiliated. Kayne would become a laughing stock for the foreseeable future. Now that the matter was settled, class resumed. Shu would follow the lioness to her other courses, raising suspicions due to his unique appearance.

The moon shone red with blood. Night had fallen, and the shady operations in Croydon were underway. Shu stood in the darkness like a ghost. His eyes glowed with malice. Ragna, the little detective, could be seen running away with a pouch full of currency. A happy expression adorned his face as he fled the scene. This had been his last job for the scary swordsman.

In front of the bloodthirsty man was a heavily guarded home. Low tier Golds patrolled the area with high tier Silvers on lookout points. Even though there were a lot of people, they moved silently. Each and every one of them were beastkin, and had collars around their necks. They were battle slaves.

If this was the territory of a noble family or a royal, the home would be covered in magic formations. Luckily, this was the slums. Doing that would cause too much suspicion. The place didn't look that grand from the outside. There was only one floor, but it extended for quite a ways.

'I will get answers tonight.' Shu thought.

The time was now. His figure quietly vanished like a phantom. Behind enemy lines, Shu reappeared next to a window. He silently ran his finger across the material and checked for traps. A bit of dust rubbed off on his skin. The window hadn't been used in a long time.

A thin blade of mana formed on his finger, cutting any shabby locks on the border frames. He then quietly opened it and entered. The first thing he saw were boxes and boxes of items. It was unknown what was in them, but he could tell that he was in a storage room. Shu knew that the Althana wouldn't allow important information to just sit like this without protection. He decided to move on.

After opening the door, the young samurai found himself in a large room. There were a few luxurious couches along the walls. It implied the difference from the outside look to the inside. Everything was fancy indoors. Shu deadpanned. While the beastkin slaves were outside, the demihuman slaves were inside. Multiple women laid on the couches and floor without clothes.

Some of them had drool leaking from their mouths. Others had their eyes rolled to the back of their head. Syringes could be seen all over the floor. A table was in the middle of the room with multiple substances. These sex slaves were strung up on heavy drugs. From kitsune to wolfkin, all sorts of demihumans were here.

A trail of unconscious women led out of the room. Shu felt like he was walking through an uncultured whorehouse. Even brothels had more class! As he strolled through the room, a few girls who were rubbing on each other looked up.

"Mmmm? You…I don't…You…un-unfamiliar…" She tried to speak, but the drugs slurred her words.

"Come here…"

One of them grabbed his ankle and gently tugged. It was obvious what they were suggesting. The swordsman crouched down beside them and put a finger to his lips.

"Shhh…" He shushed with a smile.

His harmless face caused them to smile. A few of them giggled in delight. Some of the other slaves awoke from their drug induced comas and hummed lazily. There was no suspicion in their eyes. Shu politely waved to them as he exited the room. Once he closed the door, his expression turned cold again.

He calmly followed the trail of unconscious bodies, before stopping at a closed door. It was a sliding type of door. The samurai took a deep breath and slowly opened the door. A mass of flesh could be seen jiggling on its way to the bathroom. On the bed was another slave, obviously drugged out of her mind. There was a unique aroma wafting from a lit candle.

The fat human man was covered in gold and diamond jewelry. He couldn't even touch his toes as he sat down to defecate. Shu quietly walked inside and searched the room. The sweaty girl turned to him with a blank expression. Where did this man come from? He gave her a polite smile and put a finger to his lips.

"Shhh…"

She smiled in response and closed her eyes. The mix of drugs and exhaustion lulled her to sleep. Her breaths were even. Not finding anything that he wanted, Shu waited in front of the bathroom door. The aura of a Bronze was being emitted from the man's body.

'How is this pig so weak and how did he gain this many slaves? How did he survive The Veldhoven? Anyone could kill him just for being ugly to look at.' He thought with a frown.

Once the unhealthy man finished with his business, he opened the door. The only thing he saw was a hand reaching toward him. It covered his mouth and squeezed like a hydraulic press.

"MMMMMMM!!!" His muffled screams resounded as his jaw began to fracture. Shu frowned in disgust.

"...Stop squealing. You wouldn't want to wake up the girl, right? Or maybe you do, actually. Pigs like you are never satisfied with what they have." He growled. After finishing his words, the duo vanished.

DING

There was a flash of light and they were gone. Not even thirty seconds later, several battle slaves burst into the room. They had sensed the sudden spike in mana. It mattered not. It was too late. Gibril was gone.

Time for interrogation. Boys, we move.
