Chess board and the Gift game for Leticia
In the medical room of No Name, Yo's arm was strapped to a healing contraption filled with an ink-like liquid that slowly healed her wounds. However, it was very slow. Calico Cat lay beside her, watching over her.
Black Rabbit and Asuka were also there, with Izayoi outside.
Ruphas appeared out of nowhere and startled Izayoi, who readied himself for a fight. Recognizing Ruphas, he paused. "Let's make a trade," she stated, making Izayoi interested.
"Oh? What might that be? I don't think I have anything I can offer you," he remarked playfully and with interest, making Ruphas smile.
"Defeat the Kraken and the Graeae and bring back the Gift that grants the opportunity to challenge the Legend," she demanded. "In return, I will create a survival game that will keep you on the edge of death at every corner," she offered, and Izayoi grinned.
"Edge of death at every corner, you say? That sounds very interesting. But how are you sure that I would be even close to death?" he cockily questioned, making Ruphas grin, sending a shiver down Izayoi's spine.
"You just have to take my word for it, brat," Ruphas daringly said, making Izayoi grin.
"Fine, I will take your word," he remarked.
Ruphas nodded and casually walked into the room where Yo was. "Minor heal," she chanted, and Yo's wounds rapidly healed, leaving no scars.
"Ah? You healed her... You healed her!!!" Black Rabbit shouted joyously, and Ruphas gave her a light glare that shut her up immediately.
"Let her sleep and remove the contraptions," she whispered, loud enough for both Black Rabbit and Asuka to hear but not enough to reach Yo.
Ruphas left the room and waited outside. Jin coincidentally came to check, and seeing Ruphas, he was surprised. "Welcome back!" he welcomed her, but Ruphas only nodded, not bothering to respond much.
[You barely do anything here... All your concentration is on that game board you've been so desperately trying to make. At least try to talk to the kid that welcomed you!]
Azu, who always watches from the sideline, scolded, making Ruphas pause her thinking.
"Sigh... Arise," she called out, and a magic circle appeared as Aries' figure started to form.
"Eh...?" Aries muttered and fell to the floor dumbfounded. "...Ruphas-sama?" he called out dumbly and quickly got up, wiping off the cookie crumbs from his face.
[Hahahahahaha~! He was playing a game of chess with Buddha while eating cookies! You didn't have to do him like that. He was winning the game as well. Poor boy just lost by default now~!]
Azu laughed seeing the situation unfold. Ruphas' lip twitched, and she facepalmed.
"Thank you for the welcome, Jin. Can you show Aries here around? He will be staying with us for the time being. Also, explain the situation," Ruphas requested, making sure she emphasized the 'he' as she noticed Jin had a slight blush.
"Umm... sure," Jin sheepishly replied, and after a moment, Ruphas' words settled in his mind. "Wait, HE?" Jin questioned, shocked and embarrassed now.
[Poor boy... His first crush... So pitiful.]
Azu commented sadly and dramatically, making Ruphas almost laugh but managing to hold back.

In the morning, in the empty areas of No Name,
Izayoi finally returned.
"I am back!" Izayoi announced and threw two watermelon-sized balls on the ground. He looked at Ruphas with a grin. "Now then, the survival game," he demanded, glancing at Miko to the side but immediately returning his attention to Ruphas.
Ruphas grinned. "Well done. I was expecting you to take more time," she complimented. With a wave of her hand, the balls disappeared, and a chessboard replaced them.
The tiles were big enough to hold many people sitting within them. "Get on one of the tiles," Ruphas ordered, and Izayoi curiously stepped in. The moment he did, he bent his knee and used his hand for support. He wasn't even on a tile yet, just the outer edge.
"Get used to the gravity first. The game hasn't begun yet," Ruphas advised and then looked at Miko. "Take care of the brat; he won't survive if left alone here."
[You know, I was expecting something like a domain kind of game board, not a chessboard of nightmares... What even are in those tiles? They are a separate pocket of space, but that's all I can tell from here.]
Azu curiously asked, making Ruphas roll her eyes. "Just check it for yourself; it's not like I can hide it from you."
[Hey, come on. I can, of course, see if I want. I'm trying to join in the fun too!]
Azu playfully said, making Ruphas ignore her for a bit. "I got a sample of what Beelzebub had in his lab and I went on a short trip to Tartarus to get some demon and god blood."
[...I see. So, is Anubis also in there? I couldn't find him after you flung him to nowhere. He isn't dead, that's for sure.]
"He is in the center tiles. I captured three gods from Tartarus; they are also in the center tiles, surrounded by weaker demons and clones of themselves," Ruphas explained as she walked through the hallway toward Jin's office.
"Also, it looks like a chessboard because you mentioned it yesterday. It was just pockets of space with no activation or anything, so I used the chessboard as a base. And yes, you can play chess on it," Ruphas added.
[Let me ask them first!]
Azu retorted, and Ruphas started to ignore her.
Ruphas walked into Jin's office, where he was seated with a downcast Black Rabbit and Aries.
The Gift that grants the opportunity to challenge the Legend—the two balls Izayoi brought—she placed them on the table and looked at Black Rabbit, who recognized them.
"You had a talk with Shiroyasha about the Gift game for Leticia being canceled, right? Here, go challenge them. I will participate and get Leticia back," Ruphas declared and left, followed by Aries, who tailed her, leaving the stunned Black Rabbit and Jin behind.
