The figure across the street

The night was darker than any other night as the clouds rumbled and lightning shook the sky, it made the night more scarier and mysterious.

A tall figure walked through the streets of the city, a long black coat and a hat covering his face that was getting drenched in the rain. The black figure abruptly halted when he sense a strong gaze across the road. The thirst he felt an hour ago suddenly came back that almost drove him crazy.

The street of City S was filled with street light on the empty street with only a single car across the road where a young girl was sitting in the car looking at him without blinking,their eyes met in the dimly street, after a while the girl withdraw her gaze when she heard a voice from the person besides her in the car.

Roxana look back across the street and mumbled, "Nothing."

The figure had disappeared,she felt a strange feeling when she looked at the figure across the street even when in the dark, when she barely even able to look at his face clearly.

Roxana was unable to sleep after an hour of lying in her bed. Today is her second day in this city, after her father's passed away her Aunt brought her in this city to live with them.

She subconsciously thought of the figure she met.
