Chapter 183: Supporting other team

The 5 teacher and students returned to their seat and they received a few praises from other county teams as well when they were passing by. Sir Austin will humbly deny their praise each time, saying that he look forward to their presentation as well.

Of course, they immediately become idols in the eyes of the two national team. Seeing that a fellow countryman did well, they didn't shy away to ask for opinion about their presentation and what they can improve, it become a low key group discussion in their area.

Bai Yi Yang wasn't a stingy person to begin with. Since the City Zhou team will present soon, she decided to prioritise helping them first. As for the City Shang's team, they will meet later after the presentation today. Seeing on their own eyes of City Nan excellent presentation, of course they wanted a guidance also. If City Nan was an underdog before, now they really can see that these group of students is not to be taken lightly.

Since chatting too much in the hall will be rude, Bai Yi Yang team and the City Zhou team go outside and they go through their PPT again.

Bai Yi Yang will point out each of their PPT slide while the rest of the team help with the Q&A questions. They pointed out the possible patter of questions from the judges. Of course, City Zhou also have predicted the sets of possible questions, so they can only help a bit with that. The initial preparation is actually very good already.

After 30 minutes, Bai Yi Yang and her team return inside while the City Zhou team decided to practice outside for a bit more.

When it was the City Zhou teams turn, everyone is really a bit drained. It really is tiring since it has been almost half a day. But, this is another reason for them to give more support to the City Zhou team. Their presentation also go well, they are just stuck during Q&A session, not because they weren't able to answer the questions but because their research really have this flaw since the beginning, so it is common for the judges to attack them on this. Well, City Zhou's team didn't have a very high mark to begin with either, they pass the qualifying mark which is 43.2% but it will be difficult to get Silver.

Their results will be categorised into Gold at 80% and above, Silver at 70% and above, Bronze at 60% and above, as for the the one below 60%, they will have the honourable mention title. Other than that, they will also be judged based on each team performance divided into research category and technology development category, from 1st to 3rd place will have a separate award. Followed by country placement, this will be counted based on the number of medals from each country. Lastly is best team presentation and best booth.

Sir Austin did talk about the prizes of each category, there are separate reward from their country if they get a certain medals and award. If it were before, Bai Yi Yang will find it a lot, but now their family already have a fixed income of more than hundred thousands yuan per month, so she thinks that the money is not that important anymore.

At 7.40 pm, the presentation finally ended. Everyone finally make their way to back to the hotel. When they come out of the convention centre, it was already dark.

"So beautiful.." Ruby An said when they look around, the are is really well lit with tall buildings. They all take their time walking back, Bai Yi Yang offered to take many pictures, Ruby An is the most enthusiastic. They are now quite close to the girls from City Zhou and City Shang, so they all walk together and take pictures together. Of course, a team picture is a must.

So, they only arrived at the hotel almost 8.30 pm. They all head to the dining hall and have their dinner there. After dinner, Bai Yi Yang and her team help with City Shang's presentation tomorrow. Sid Austin didn't stop them because they will also be free tomorrow morning, the booth can be set up in the afternoon and the judging will be in the evening. Ruby An is the most excited because of her idol, but Li Jian Yu always pour cold water onto her, reminding her that Qiu Jiang is someone who have a girlfriend.

They only come up when it is 9.30 pm. They also stopped by the laundry to take their outfits for tomorrow. By the time the arrived in their room, they are dead tired.

While the two girls is washing up, Bai Yi Yang made a call home, there is no time difference between this two countries too. And, even though it's expensive, she didn't mind. Ruby An and Wang Yi Lin even git to say hi to her siblings. The small one is very enthusiastic when telling Bai Yi Yang about their days, they talked about what they did and what Bai Yi Linga and Bai Yi Chen cook for them.

"Ge, stop giving TongTong too much food, I already portion everything out. It may be troublesome for you." Bai Yi Yang said when Bai Yi Chen talk about cooking another big portion of peeled shrimp.

"No problem, I can prepare more later." Bai Yi Chen answer with a soft chuckle.

Ruby An who was listening roll on the bed, suppressing her inner fan girl. Bai Yi Chen is not only handsome, he is also gentle and homely, she immediately forget about Qiu Jiang. Wang Yi Lin also wanted to burst into laughter when seeing Ruby An like this. But it's real, Bai Yi Yang's twin brother is really a bit too charming.

Bai Yi Yang ended the call after talking for about 20 minutes, she quickly take a bath. After this, they promised the girls from City Zhou that they will go send the clothes to laundry together and have a chat at the big conference room in the hotel. The conference room and dining hall is open until midnight because many people usually have meetings and discussion at this place, some people will just chat around this place too.

There are 3 girls in City Zhou's team and 3 of them, so the 6 people sat at the round table and gossip. Well, girls, they only gossip when they meet. The topic are mostly about the eye catching Zhou International School, or the good looking boys from City Shang and City Bei. Of course, the most interesting is Dongfang Liu and his foreign girlfriend Akari Tanaka.

Bai Yi Yang didn't tell them about what she witnessed the previous night, she just listen to their story. So, apparently, this Akari Tanaka is one of Dongfang Liu side chick, her identity is a bit complicated so she can only be Dongfang Liu hidden girlfriend. Dongfang Liu have a rumoured fiancee, an equally powerful family in City Zhou.

One of the girl from City Zhou know about the rich people of City Zhou, so she have a lot of information about the students from Zhou International School. The 5 people of the Zhou International School consist of Isaac Brown, his father is an ambassador, the head of a certain country embassy, then the beautiful foreigner Cecilia Miller's father is a big businessman, Ling Yu Zhan's family is also famous in City Zhou, not comparable to the Dongfang family might but still a big family then lastly is Akari Tanaka, an illegitimate daughter of Country J's businessman, she is a mistress daughter, her mother is a Country Zhou local and her father is in Country J. Well, what a messed up rich family.

Other than the gossip about these 5 people, they also talked about how City Zhou seems like have their own separate government. The city is prosperous but it was ruled by the rich and powerful, of course Dongfang family is the top of the pyramid, followed by the other large families. The authorities is there, but even the authorities there listen to these big family.

"Your City Zhou sounds a bit complicated, a bit creepy too." Ruby An said honestly. She is a bit creeped out that the one in power doesn't really have the power, instead, there are other people who is much more powerful there.

"Not scary. Our City Zhou is very fun, as long as you avoid certain places that these 'giants' like to go frequently, there really is nothing to be afraid of. The crime index is also low, because they are also afraid of these higher up people." A girl answer.

"Ah? That's sounds more scary. If they really wanted to use their power, then to whom can you go to?" Ruby An ask again.

"That won't happen. Just like we don't want to associate with them, they also don't want to have anything to do with the common people. Just look at how the students from Zhou International School did, they either hang up among them or alone." Another one answers. Well, it really is like that. They doesn't seems to care about other people that much.

"Anyway, how about your city? What's interesting there?" The girl from City Zhou ask.

So, the 6 girls continue to chat until they start feeling sleepy. A few minutes after 11.00 pm, they all returned to their room to sleep. No matter what, they still have something tomorrow. 10% is still a mark, they still need to do well.

The next morning, since they don't have a plan to wake up early, they stay in bed until 9.00 am. If not because they need to have breakfast before 10.00 am, they won't wake up. They just clean up lightly before heading to the dining hall. The rest of the people is gone, this morning, the presentation start as early as 8.00 am, it will last until late afternoon.

After breakfast, they also get ready to go to the convention centre, its just that this time they bought luggage and boxes with them, these are the stuff that they needed to decorate their booth. Booth activity will start at 2.00 pm, until 4.00 pm.

When they arrived at the site which is another huge empty hall in the convention centre, it is already 10.30 am. They identified their booth locations, booth number 18. Most booth for the research team is still empty but for the technology development team, their booth is really the main focus here, they go all out because they will do demonstration at this place too.

Sir Austin told them to put up the posters and some samples on the table as he go to find his friends, the teacher from City Bei. Since there is not much to do, they finished in less than 30 minutes. So, the 4 of them also start walking around the exhibit of technology development team.

When they arrived at Zhou International School's booth, they finally understand the meaning of flexing. Their invention was some kind of robot, and the things they display in their booth really screams money. Their item looks so realistic, the decorations is also too realistic, the other two booths beside them is really too pitiful to be compared to them. Bai Yi Yang bet all her money that they can win best booth this time.

The students from Zhou International School recognise them, they weren't enthusiastic as much as City Bei team when they come to visit, but they still introduce them to their project and show some demonstration. The demonstration was great and all, but Bai Yi Yang really cannot stand staying longer at their booth, if she didn't go, Dongfang Liu stare can make a hole on her back.

So, when they finally moved on from booth number 2, Wang Yi Lin finally ask her the question.

"Why is Dongfang Liu looking at you like that?" She ask.

"Sigh..I caught him making out with his girlfriend at the hotel hallway." Bai Yi Yang said to Wang Yi Lin. Wang Yi Lin eyes widened.

"He..won't make things hard for you right?" Wang Yi Lin said worriedly.

"I don't think so, as long as I don't spread this..please keep it by yourself.." Bai Yi Yang said to Wang Yi Lin. Wang Yi Lin nod and smile. She comforted Bai Yi Yang as they head to the presentation venue. City Shang will be presenting at 12.00 pm so they will watch the presentation before going for lunch.

The City Zhou student is also in the hall already, together with City Shang team. They briefly say hi to each other before taking a seat. This team presenting now is from Country R, this project is not bad. There is a potential of getting Gold.

'TongTong, what is BaYi High School's overall project mark?' Bai Yi Yang ask.

'58.9%.' TongTong answer.

'Ohh..I saw their presentation, they are good. As long as they did well in Q&A, they can get a Gold.' Bai Yi Yang said. BaYi High School have a good record before, getting a Gold is not impossible.

BaYi High School presentation is indeed good, it's possible that they will get best presentation award too, but, to be honest, their presentation yesterday is actually not bad.

"They will surely get the best presentation award right?" Li Jian Yu said.

"Your presentation yesterday is also very good." Sir Austin laugh.

"Then, can we get it too?" Ruby An ask excitedly. Each year, they say that there will be 3-4 teams who will get best presentation award, can they be one of them? The dream is really too good, how can they compete with English speaking countries?

"Being a non English speaking country have higher advantages. It's possible." Sir Austin nod. Ruby An laugh at this and said that Sir Austin is giving them too much hope.

'I want to know too, but the results is not in their system yet.' TongTong said.

'Don't tell me anything..I wanted to feel a bit surprise.' Bai Yi Yang said. Well, even if TongTong wanted to tell her, he can't when the results is not in the system yet.
