The small, dark room felt too closed-in. Sleeping in the ventilated main hall seemed like a better option. After all, there was nothing here except a box.
"Is it okay if I sleep here, box neighbor?" Mike glanced at the iron box placed on the stone altar not far away and asked sincerely.
The Mother Box remained motionless.
"If you don't say anything, I'll take that as a yes." Mike said, blinking innocently before settling on the mattress. He covered himself with a quilt and fell asleep peacefully.
Mother Box: ?
If it could move, it might have protested.
"I wonder how my aunt is doing." Mike murmured, clutching the Starlight Flying Crown tightly in his arms as sleep took over.
Although he had seen many people on Paradise Island today, the one person he hadn't seen was Diana.
"She's probably in the palace." Mike thought to himself, drifting off into a deep dream.
---
Midnight.
The temperature in the main hall dropped noticeably as the night deepened. Mike shivered, feeling the chill against his skin even before opening his eyes. A faint, familiar fragrance filled the air—a subtle, sweet scent, like a bed of violets blooming nearby.
"Huh?" Mike stirred awake. His eyes fluttered open, and he froze in shock at the sight beside him.
A beautiful, mature woman lay on the mattress next to him.
Her slightly curly black hair cascaded across the bed. With her eyes closed, her perfectly sculpted face exuded a serene beauty, framed by dark lashes and elegantly arched brows. Her tall, graceful figure was dressed in a regal golden gown that hugged her form. The moonlight shone down, enveloping her in a soft silver glow, making her look ethereal—almost otherworldly.
She was breathtaking.
As if sensing his gaze, the woman opened her eyes slowly. Her jewel-like orbs sparkled in the dim light, locking onto his astonished expression.
"Aunt?! Why are you here?" Mike exclaimed, momentarily thinking he was still dreaming.
"Didn't you mention this morning that you wanted to be... hugged at night?" DianhH replied, her voice calm, as though her presence here was completely natural.
Mike froze, his memory jogging back to his offhand comment earlier in the day. He hadn't expected her to take it so seriously.
His aunt wasn't just Wonder Woman—she was practically *Doraemon* when it came to fulfilling wishes.
"Really? Can I?" He asked hesitantly, his gaze lingering on her flawless, sculpted waist.
Diana gave a slight nod.
Encouraged, Mike hesitantly reached out, placing his hand on her waist. His fingers trembled at the sensation.
The first thing he noticed was how soft yet firm it felt. The golden fabric was smooth to the touch, but beneath it, her toned figure radiated strength and vitality. She was the epitome of a warrior goddess—strong, supple, and utterly mesmerizing.
Mike's mind raced. He was careful not to grip too tightly, treating her with reverence. Although he knew that even if he tried, he wouldn't be able to harm her, he remained cautious.
Diana's body trembled slightly under his touch, making Mike realize that even she wasn't immune to the situation. His heart thumped faster as the intimate moment deepened.
"Aunt, about this crown…" Mike said, pulling out the Starlight Flying Crown that he had been clutching.
"Keep it for now." Diana said softly, "You'll need it more than I do."
"Alright." Mike replied seriously. After the events of the afternoon, he no longer doubted his ability to wield it.
Diana reached out, lightly tapping his forehead with her cool fingers, "Did you know? I asked Kathy to spar with you this afternoon on purpose." She admitted with a sly smile.
"Wait, really?" Mike's eyes widened.
"Yes." Diana continued, "Before I awakened my divine power, Kathy trained me as well. I thought she could help you improve. Although, I didn't expect you to go all out like that."
Mike chuckled awkwardly, realizing that Kathy must have been holding back during their fight.
"I've arranged for you to continue training with her for the next few days." Diana said, "You need to master more combat techniques. That way, when you fully awaken the powers of the Master of the Familiar, you'll have better control over your abilities."
Mike sighed. His relaxing vacation was clearly over.
"But." Diana added with a sly grin, "If you do well, I'll let you hug me again at night."
Mike's eyes lit up. Suddenly, he was filled with motivation.
---
On the training grounds, Mike showed up brimming with energy, eagerly seeking guidance from Diana.
Kathy, who had expected a halfhearted trainee, was momentarily stunned but quickly composed herself and began their rigorous sessions.
Swordplay, javelin throwing, archery, shield combat, horse riding—Mike practiced relentlessly. By the end of the day, he would collapse from exhaustion, only to recover with the reward of his aunt's nightly visits.
---
Three days passed quickly.
The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sea with fiery hues. Tomorrow was not only the day Mike and Diana would leave Paradise Island but also the annual Amazon Warrior Competition—a grand event celebrating strength and skill.
As the island buzzed with anticipation, Kathy sought out Kerry.
"Kathy, thank you for training Mike these past few days." Diana said as they walked together.
Kathy sighed, "He has potential, but he's still just human. No matter how much he trains, his physique will always limit him."
Diana smiled knowingly, "Even so, it's a foundation to build on."
Then, to Kathy's shock, Diana added, "I want him to participate in tomorrow's competition."
"What?! Are you serious?" Kathy's jaw dropped.
Diana's eyes gleamed with determination, "This is the best way for him to gain the recognition of the Amazons—and my mother."
Though hesitant, Kathy eventually agreed.
As night fell, Mike waited in the main hall, his anticipation growing. When Diana arrived dressed in her signature red armor, he immediately sensed that tomorrow would mark a turning point in his life.
"You'll be competing in the Warrior Competition tomorrow." Diana said.
Mike gulped but nodded, determination burning in his eyes.
