Insanity Of A Reverend Reader

Fang Yuan is know as a smart and cunning man with great ambitions and wisdom. Everything and everyone eventually follows his plan, as he ascends and becomes stronger and stronger. One person, who recently got into reading about his tales due to his life's misfortune, died after reading chapter 270 and reincarnated as a baby in the Gu Yue clan. Can he gain enough adventages in the early stages of the story or will he become a pawn to be discarded in the future by forces hidden in the shadows? I started writing this when I was on chapter 270 of the story, so MC will have knowledge of up to that chapter in order to avoid any complaints and confusion. I have changed some small details about the strength path and there are some minor tweaks to Gu worms, apertures and mortals. The system is also not OP and the MC isn't pathetic. He can't be Fang Yuan levels of not pathetic, as he is only a 16 Year old with little experience. Guy in cover image resembles MC's brother not MC. The first 5 chapters are wonky... Because of lore reasons, so it pops off after that. Hope you enjoy.

The boar-wolf tide

The Gu Yue clan's spirit spring completely dried up when we took the heavenly essence treasure lotus, but a beast tide suddenly arrived five days later and the elders had no time to deal with the "insignificant" matter concerning their spirit spring.

Don't want to cause panic probably. They're most likely gonna deal with it like the second Bai clan did, secretly find a second one and move.

The second possibility is the one I am hoping for. Gu Yue clan might start an all-out war with the Xiong clan because of desperation. If that is so, then I will be providing all the weak Gu masters with beast strength in exchange for contribution points.

The Gu Yue clan is a lot stronger now thanks to me, but the strength Gus' here are nonexistent. I will be the sole overlord of the market once Jia Fu arrives and sells me his shit.

He is coming in march, if I remember correctly. I hope the war starts soon. It will be quite interesting to manage logistics and fight in a war with mostly strength path Gu masters.

Well, that is for the future. Right now I am charging straight into the boar tide, as I want to exchange some Gu worms of my fallen customers in exchange for Gu points.

Oh shit! "Iron skin Gu!" A boar was about to collide into me, but I swung my defended fist and broke its skull into pieces. My brother was off to the side with his boar aura and his boar gang helping out drag the corpses back to mum's house.

They have the initials K and M tattooed on their backs and foreheads, so no one is going to attack them and are our delivery crew. quite the cute little bastards they are.

The entire city knows of them by now. They deliver the corpses we pile up back to mum's house and they deal with selling the corpses. I basically turned their house into a butcher shop.

Who can blame me? With such abundant loot how can I not get as much out of it as possible?

Each punch injures my fists a little, but I use the iron skin defense Gu and it consumes only like 0.5% of my primeval essence each punch.

My bones were hardened by the constant breaking and being healed over the last 13 or so years, so they can take a lot more abuse than normal bones.

That is why I am punching through these bastards and my brother is swinging his sword quite skillfully after all the training he has done.

He is cutting packs of 2 and 3 boars in half with each swing. The Guts sword is truly the most magnificent weapon in existence. What Gu worms that can create weapons? This is the Guts sword! No Gu worm can defeat the Guts sword!

It has taken some damage, though. My brother takes it to Gu Yue Gon Tu each week, but the damage piles up and can't be completely fixed even by the original forger. I need to buy the organic weapon Gu as soon as possible, or the sword might become worthless before I get the Gu. Well, a quick pig iron Gu might solve the problem, but it costs 48 Gu points and I still need to save up!

We ran towards where the sickly snake group was and had to fight through packs of wolves. We let the boar squad go, as they were carrying off like 16 dead boars and because we left the boar tide and gave entered the wolf one.

Wolves aren't as used to seeing boars as companies as boars are, so we can't take them wolf hunting without the risk of them dying.

After punching and cutting nearly 200 wolves to death, we finally arrived at a spot where a giant boar was being eaten by wolves and I looked around for any Gu worms. Then I took a look at the giant boar laying dead there and realized something "That's a fking hundred beast king! It is also red! But it doesn't look like it was strengthened by a beast strength Gu."

Sadly it didn't have any useful Gu worm. Some of the sickly snake group were still alive, so I made sure they were all dead and sold all of their Gu worms.

I earned approximately 37 Gu points by aelling the Gu of Fang Yuan's "companions". I only need a bit more Gu points now and I can finally buy my destiny!

How did I not think of this genius strategy before?! I can sell the Gu worms of the deceased Gu masters and earn a lot of Gu points that way! This is genius! I can get so many rank 2 Gu worms and other goodies from the dead!

The boar Fang Yuan and his band originally fought was a hundred beast King. It is strong, but it is only above average in terms of boar strength. Fang Yuan, a guy with human and boar strength, could easily stop it from moving, so it makes sense how he could restrict it.

Still, I was hoping it would have some kind of rare Gu I could use. Maybe another boar strength Gu, but I was unlucky. At least the consolation prize has arrived.

Howl!

And that was the signal we were waiting for! Chun Jack and I looked forward to see a giant wave of wolves rushing towards us. "Book it!"

The boar king was our main objective, but we also had a secondary objective. The wolves will try to hunt us down and I have a huge pit on my side.

We ran like wind towards our trap. The wolves followed us and a wave of over 300 wolves with one slightly larger wolf leading them ran after us for 30 minutes or so.

We dragged them all the way to the south southeastern area of Gu Yue clan city, where our huge pitfall trap is located!

I leaped forward with my spring weed Gu and landed next to the "lever" of our trap. I began dragging a metal pole out and Chun Jack stabbed his sword into the ground and held on for dear life.

The huge metal pole is quite heavy, but my strength is greater than its weight. I ran forwards while pushing the pole upwards and it finally came out.

Howl!

The howling of pain of hundreds of wolves was heard as they fell into the hole and whimpered, then I covered my ears as Chun Jack tried to do the same using his right forearm and left hand.

Booooom! Bang! Boom!

Sounds of explosions went off everywhere as the wolves exploded and not even traces of their corpses remained. The hole we dug got even deeper, as the explosions tossed out some dirt, but the corpses we left down there more than filled in the spots. The 20 or 30 odd wolves, that didn't fall into the trap lost their consciousness from the loud banging of the charred thunder mother potato's potatoes exploding.

While most of the wolves corpses are unusable, some are still instact. Sadly, the hundred wolf king also fell in and blew up. At least we still got 30 or so wolf bodies as loot.

Now, we have to deal with the only flaw in our plan.

"How the do I get out of this situation?!" cried out my brother, as he barely hung onto life. Ya, around 350 kilos being on one side of a balance board, which is supported by a single pole, tends to tip it. By balance board I mean a round version of the seesaw level in fall guys.

"Grab onto the metal pole! I can hold it while you climb towards me and then we can fix the support, so it isn't at a 90° incline and retrieve Guts!" And that is what we did.

I used the 13 meter iron pole to get my brother back to the ground and we fixed the trap for later use. Oh, just a BTW, it was indeed Gon Tu who made these iron poles. He got paid a handsome 700 primeval stones for it as well.

Gon Tu is a mortal, so he can only use primeval stones as currency instead of resources. Too bad he is a mortal, his blacksmithing talent is huge!

It is sad my friends might die because of Bai Ning Bing. I kind of want to save them all, but traveling around with- ahhh! Screw it! I'll take Gon Tu and my squad out of this city and to Shang Clan city. They will most likely be accepted there and get good jobs.

That is where the trap comes in hand! It has 3 uses. First, obviously, trap, second distraction from my true objective and third use, a bunker!

We can hide in there when Bai Ning Bing detonates and then head out to Shang Clan city. I kinda want to steal the legendary Gu Fang Yuan was talking about and see what it is! I hope it is at least rank 4 and sells for a bunch of Gu points!

I will do all of that later! For now, time to bring back these corpses and wait for Jia Fu to get his ass over here and give me the Gus' I want!

Sadly, I think he will come in march? Maybe? I don't remember exactly. It is the end of the year soon and I will most likely not have to deal with anything too annoying.
