Dooming a clan with a gentle smile

The clan head bargained with me a lot, but the Gu worm I invented was so useful and amazing he gave in after a while and bought it for 250k primeval stones, which I publicly reinvested into the clan. I bought a lot of Gu worms and after some exchanging, I left Chun Jack in our tree house to practice with the Strength-A-Ten-Thunder-Boar beast bundle Gu.

I bought him 1 rank 3 instant success Gu worm and rank 3 third watch Gu. It will take him around a week to fully cultivate the boar Strength, so he is being guarded by the Gong Zhu squad.

My brother is completely set, but this chapter of my life isn't about him. Today is the well known moon festival. People are drinking, writing poems and opening rocks for fun. On days like these, kids like me have to go on espionage missions.

The Gu Yue elders issued me an order and basically told me to get into the Xiong clan treasury and rob it clean. They even gave me a rank 3 rule path Gu worm called ignore presence. Short description, if you are good at hiding, people will just subconsciously ignore you.

Of course I don't bet on that Gu working at all, so I bought 5 rank 2 Gu worms which conceal my body heat, make me invisible, conceal my smell, conceal any sound I make and stops others from deducing me.

I combined those 5 with the rank 3 Gu worm I received and turned it into a rank 3 killer move called 5 senses dulling aura. master level on refinement path really comes in handy sometimes, especially if you pair it with Baby Alchemist.

This isn't a passive effect and requires 5% of my scarlet red primeval essence every 30 seconds, so I can only keep this up for 10 minutes. if we include my regenerated primeval essence, then I can barely go 15 minutes, but I prefer keeping some combat effectiveness, or I might just die.

You may be wondering, why am I being so paranoid. I have gone on espionage missions before, right? Why is this any different? Well, my mission is to sneak into the ancestry hall of Xiong clan and destroy all of their Gu worms.

This might sound ridiculous and like a horrible idea, but it is feasible. Rank 3 Gu masters almost never have killer moves and the only rank 4 in Xiong clan is their leader. My killer move uses 5 rank 2 and 1 rank 3, but the rank 3 is the core, so the effect is of a low tier rank 3 killer move.

Nonetheless, a rank 3 killer move, even the weakest one, is much better than a rank 3 Gu worm's effect. The only man who can detect me has no reason to even try, as no rank 4 Gu master is going to be sneaking into their ancestry hall.

This is a perfect opportunity to profit immensely and win the war in one clean sweep. I can directly steal their finances and their huge stock of Gu worms. The amount of Gu points I will earn will be almost as much as the rank 5 river swallowing toad!

Actually, I can try a little something something and impersonate the rank 4 guy. I have barely enough Gu points to buy the rank 4 attitude Gu and a rank 2 change form Gu. My mental energy is nearly infinite, so I can maintain that Gu worm indefinitely and who would dare to inspect the body of a rank 4? Oh boy am I up to no good! I'll check up after I reach the Xiong clan.

I ran for a couple hours and arrived at the Xiong clan's headquarters. I disguised myself using rank 4 attitude Gu as a pretty famous rank 2 Bai clan Gu master called Bai Shen Young. He is a Strength path, elemental Strength Gu master, so my physical body will fit his description perfectly. He is known for only using Iron skin Gu for defense and fighting using his fists, so he is easy to impersonate.

The scouting group came up to me and said "It's sir Bai Shen Young! It is my honour to meet you, sir Bai! What do we owe this pleasure to?"

I looked at the skinny and pale looking man and towered over him with my giant-like body and said in a hoarse voice "I have heard of Xiong Li almost being defeated by a brat with his mother's milk still on his mouth and thought I'd check on the old fool and make sure he is still capable."

The man nodded his head and said "right this way, sir Bai!" The three strongman of the Qing Mao mountain: Xiong Li, Gu Yue Shi Chen and Bai Shen Young. There is even a popular saying that goes like this: the Xiong bear stomps along the mountain, weary of the Gu Yue tiger waiting for an opportunity to pounce on him, while a hidden Bai wolf lurks in the shadows of the night.

Who thought of this weird saying, I have no clue, but it is pretty accurate in my opinion. It depicts the power dynamic of the 2 rivals and the 1 extra looking for fame. This also goes along with the guy's personality.

Bai Shen Young, as the saying suggests, lurks in the shadows, meaning he isn't actively competing and is waiting for 1 of the 2 strongmen to weaken, so he can pounce.

I have basically sold my identity as Bai Shen Young to these people and haven't shown any major flaws. The rank 4 attitude Gu was extremely helpful in conveying my emotions to the rank 2 man and he led me to the clan himself.

The entire Xiong clan city is mapped out in my head, so I don't need to even spend any time scouting around for any troublesome locations.

As soon as I checked into my rental room and paid the 10 primeval stone fee, I activated 5 senses dulling aura and sneaked out of the hotel. I told the staff I'll cultivate my aperture until tomorrow, 3 pm, as that is the time I set the meat up with Xiong Li. Too bad the guy will be waiting for a ghost! I will be long gone before tomorrow.

The best time to do this all is morning. Security is tighter during the later hours, so it is easier to sneak in during the day. Also, I will not be sneaking in. I used Bai Shen Young's identity to sneak into the clan, but I will be using the clan leader's identity to walk into the ancestry hall.

Rank 4 attitude Gu, meaning only rank 4 Gu master can detect me, of which there is only one in this entire clan. Who dares to even check my identity? Even if they suspect somehow, that I not the clan leader, which person is stupid enough to fight a person, who owns a rank 4 Gu in a 1v1? Attitude Gu is too overpowered TBH. These chumps stand no chance!

It took me about 8 minutes to sneak over to the Gu hall of Xiong clan and I directly changed my appearance to look like the clan leader's and even stole a piece of clothing he wears most commonly from a street seller. He was saying stuff like "Get your very own elder robe for only a couple primeval stones! I am even selling a direct replica of the clan leader's robes!"

This robe can hide my body as well, so I can directly focus on my face only and make a face with less flaws.

The rank 3 guard of the Gu hall saw me and bent over. "Sir clan leader has come! It is a great honor to see sir clan leader here!"

I smiled a bit and said "I can see you are working hard. I won't distract you, I have heard of some mysterious moves being made by the Gu Yue clan these last few days and have come to check our Gu worms and see if we are ready for them. I won't take to long, so I hope you will welcome this old man!" The double bluff! Works every time! C'mon woman, take the bait.

The rank 2 woman looked at me with great respect and admiration in her eyes and said "I wouldn't dare! Sir clan leader is welcome here at any time!" there we go.

I smiled with my warm and benevolent attitude being projected directly onto her and I went in without any obstructions. The first place I went to was the Gu storage and a rank 3 elder was taking care of the Gu worms.

He felt the aura of a rank 4 Gu worm and turned around to see his clan leader looking at him. He smiled and said "I don't know why clan leader has moved up the check up schedule, but I dare not oppose. How could a simple food elder oppose the clan leader?!"

My guess was right! The Xiong clan fully detected our small inspections and knows something is going on in Gu Yue. Xiong clan isn't full of idiots and there is no way they won't be even slightly suspicious. I banked on that idea and used it as an excuse to "inspect" the Gu worms. In this world you can always rely on your enemies being more aware, than they let on.

I put my hand on the self-proclaimed food elder's shoulder and looked into his eyes. He was waiting for me to say something, but I only smiled warmly at him and stared into his eyes with a fatherly gaze.

He became slightly mesmerized after a couple seconds and then a look of confusion dawned on his face. Even if doubt was in his mind, he couldn't take his eyes off of me. My right ring finger suddenly vibrated and 5 extremely powerful moonblades instantly arrived at his neck.

One moon blade almost cut through 1/5 of his neck before he realized death was breathing down his neck. When he realized his life was in danger, he activated a defensive Gu almost subconsciously, with his eyes still locked onto my face, but it was too late.

The 5 moonblades were suppressed by the defensive Gu, but only 3 were blocked completely before his defense crumbled and the other 2 cut his head off completely.

He wanted to dodge, but the firm grip on his left shoulder didn't allow him to move. All he could do was watch with wide eyes, as his head fell off and observe my gentle and fatherly smile until the moment his head hit the ground.

"I wonder how much I will be rewarded for killing a rank 3 elder?"

Since when is killing people so easy? This rank 3 old man, is probably one of the most influential people died here, but that isn't my point. At most, I have only bruised someone's stomach and given them a black eye in my past life. Killing isn't something I would ever imagine. Every moment of my life I have never thought of killing anyone. I wish the bitch a bad fate, but I still wouldn't kill her, not even now.

How could I just kill this innocent (situationally. Don't know if he has done anything "illegal".) old man, who probably has never even thought of harming me? How was it so easy? Am I a natural born demon like Bai Ning Bing or have I gone insane from the torturous training? Weird. Very fking weird!

The amount of Gu worms here is Insane. Especially the higher ranked ones. This place is truly a treasure trove! The accumulations of a clan with over 400 years of history is really impressive.

There are even 3 rank 3 bear strength Gu worms! Holy shit! This would be useful if my brother was a bear aura master and not a boar aura one. They might increase his physical strength, but the conflicting beast phantoms will really screw him over in terms of aura control.

I should probably stop checking out the Gu worms and actually start refining them. My time is not limited, but I'd rather not spend too much time here. So let's refine them all. Baby Alchemist, activate!

As you know, Baby Alchemist can refine any Gu worm 1 meter away from me into Gu points. The only way to protect them is to place them in an aperture or maintain a 1 meter distance between them and me.

It is a good ambush tactic and anyone dumb enough to leave their Gu worms on their bodies will suffer the consequence of their stupidity.

The total amount of Gu points I gained is 8,7k. This might not sound that amazing, as it is less than what I got from the river swallowing toad and I am really disappointed as well, but there were only 2 rank 4 Gu worms. The rest were rank 1 or 2 with 38 rank 3 ones. At the very least, you need to sell three rank 3 Gu worms to buy the cheapest rank 4 worm.

And, as a general rule, you need to sell the exact same Gu worm 30 times before you can afford the next rank version of it. River swallowing toad is a tycoon worth over 80k Gu points, so toppling it using the sheer quantity of lower rank Gu worms is extremely difficult.

The only comfort I can find in all of this is, that this was 1 of many Gu storage rooms. This was indeed the main one, but the subsequent ones can't be much worse, right?

I just burned the elder's body and left the place to continue looting. My luck was pretty good(Go luck path!) and I looted the entire Gu storage of Xiong clan without being detected and even killed 7 rank 2 guards while there. The Xiong clan doesn't stand a CHANCE in this war! They are done for!

I will probably get rewarded heavily for my contributions, so I will head back with my

25,3K big dick Gu points and rest. I have been doing this for an entire hour! I might have nearly infinite mental energy, but the headache from all that nervousness and pain sure as hell isn't because of exhausted mental energy!
