Cleaning out the Xiong clan

Good thing I have Physique Nourishing Gu. Muscle injuries like mine would have incompasitated a normal man for a week at least, but all I needed was a full 20 hours of continuous use of Physique Nourishing Gu.

My body has completely recovered to its peak and I can feel my body has become stronger. It isn't much. It is, maybe, a 3 or 5 percent increase, but that is still extremely good!

Such growth would have taken me a couple of weeks to achieve, but I grew so much from just 5 rounds of armwrestling with Xiong Li.

We are currently at 1:0 in my favour and the next event is going to be fun! Ever heard of a workout position called plank? What was the world record for the longest plank in the world again? I think it was something like 8 hours? How about 8 days!

Well, technically I can do it indefinitely, as I can naturally keep doing the plank for 10 hours, but I can heal my body once every hour or so using my primeval essence.

I cannot be defeated! My body is built for strength and endurance! I am loosing 1% stamina every hour, so lasting 100 hour shouldn't even be a problem!

That is if we cut the Heavenly essence treasure lotus out of the equation! The primeval essence recovery rate is 55% every 30 minutes.

If I optimize everything to the limit, then I can theoretical do the plank for 8 days! How long can the little bitch Xiong Li last?! We are about to find out!

The Lion cliff side is called that because of a huge cave in the cliff, which looks like a roaring lion's mouth. It is at the western side of the Xiong clan and is quite a visible landmark.

You can see it if you look around and try. If you try hard enough, you can even see inside the cave.

We are going to have our competition there! Anyone can check on us at any point in time, so the mental pressure will be there to the fullest!

He can last, at most, 2 days there. Giving my teammates enough time to gather all the information needed and we can clean this house out! I am also going to buy a rank 1 Gu I have been looking for!

Remember the rank 2 little light Gu I was talking about? This Gu is the final step to creating the said Gu! I won't reveal it yet, but you might be able to guess my recipe if you think about it hard enough.

I can both extort the Gu Yue clan using this recipe and upgrade my current arsenal of Gus'! A recipe for a rank 2 little light Gu will most definitely go for at least 200k primeval stones!

My total wealth would begins reaching the 600K range and I'll have to upgrade my primeval cloud Gu into a primeval elder Gu.

And for such a dream to come true, I don't even need to defeat this blabbering musclebrain. Defeating him will help a lot, but it isn't necessary. Still, I wouldn't mind putting him in his place!

"You actually came! To think your spirit and confidence are still intact after losing to a junior like you did yesterday!" He didn't say anything and looked towards me with a crowd behind him, chearing him on and insulting me.

He probably realized I wouldn't be defeated in a battle of gab and gave up trash talking to fight me. I smiled in delight.

The trash talk was fun, but it takes too much mental energy to completely suppress him, so this is more enjoyable.

I pointed towards the care in the cliff side and said "Do you know what the plank position is?" He looked at me and dropped into the plant stance to show off.

Quite an interesting way to show off, but I don't care. All the hype needed for this diversion has already been built up. No matter how much any clan tries, news of this will spread.

I nodded at his action and said "Round 2 is related to that form. We are to enter that form at the exact same time and persist for as long as possible. The first to break the stance will lose this round. If i win, you will give me the baby innate bear strength Gu. And if by some miracle you win, I will keep my word and streak around the Xiong clan 5 times! Let us begin!"

I mean, who wants to listen to two muscular men doing the plank for hours on end? I'll just give a quick summary.

The competition was really fucking hard! The guy lasted for 5 days rather than the expected 2 and is still going! Holly fucking shit! What kind of Gu was he given to become so much stronger?! My muscles are hella tired, but I can last a few more days.

He, on the other hand, doesn't look too good. He looks to be in constant pain and is barely holding onto his consciousness.

I might be slightly sadistic, but I like bullying Fang Zheng and shitstains like him. Xiong Li isn't really a bitch like Fang Zheng and is pretty okay, so I don't care about bullying him and I am not as glory-seeking as I show others.

Guess I will go easy on him. "Xiong Li, we can both see and know you are way beyond your limit and I haven't even begun reaching mine. I recommend just leaving it at that. I'll save you some face in exchange for the baby innate bear strength Gu worm. What do you say?"

The guy looked at me with his strained face and showed a hit of surprise. He was probably not expecting someone with my character (The one I pretend is me) and was so surprised he lost concentration and fell down.

"Whoops! Gosh darn it! My elbow slipped Can't believe I made such a rookie mistake!"I fell on my chest and stood up the very next moment.

Xiong Li stared at me as n disbelief as he also fell on his chest and slowly stood up with shaky arms. "Why?"

I sighed and said "I am here for the competition, not the title. The title means nothing to me, as I am not a strength path cultivator. I am more inclined towards the light path or the fire path or the healing path. The Gu Yue offered a handsome reward if I succeed and obtain the title, but that reward is useless and not worth it if I have to shame an honourable man like you.

For the honour of your clan, you used a muscle destruction Gu. I cannot close an eye and ignore such a heroics man's effort!"

The look on Xiong Li's eyes said everything. He had been completely moved by my little speech and his goodwill towards me has shot through the roof!

He broke eye contact with me and said "You have my appreciation. I am eternally grateful for what you have done for me!" I smiled at him and helped him stand up.

Muscle destruction Gu might sound ridiculous, but it is actually a rank 2 healing path Gu. It heals in an unique way. It destroys parts of a humans muscle structure that are damaged and replaces them with artificial ones.

This Gu is like the Stone Aperture Gu for the body. It provides instant benefits in exchange for long-term suffering. My system described the effects as painful, so I can't imagine how much pain this man has gone through and how much potential he lost for this battle.

I hate people like him. People willing to sacrifice potential for long-term benefits are idiots, but I need allies in Xiong clan, or when the war begins, I will die a dog's death, targeted by all out of shame and anger.

I walked alongside Xiong Li back to the clan house and we celebrated his victory together, as if we were long time friends and agreed to settle this matter once and for all with a friendly sparring match tomorrow at 12 o'clock.

This will have to be a loss I eat, but I will win admiration and will never be even slightly despised by the Xiong clan by the end of this week.

The Xiong clan had been completely cleaned of all benefits to me and I can finally return to Gu Yue clan after tomorrow and claim my bounty along with creating a new recipe!

I won't be humiliated and the chances of me obtaining the baby innate strength bear Gu are low, but that has always been a side benefit! It is insignificant and I can purchase it at any time for 21 Gu points!

My main goals have all been accomplished and even some side goals are complete! My strength will be through the roof and even reach the pinnacle of rank 2 after this small trip.

If the next phase of my plan also goes well, then I will gain the strength to battle even rank 3 experts or even compete with the current Bai Ning Bing himself!
