Weathering the Storm to come

Staying at the Storm isles for six months. Argen, now into his seventh month of training, has been toying around Titania to see if he can reduce its drawback. Much to Hilda's laughter, it did. After several hours of being suspended on air occasionally vomiting from time to time in a matter of  a few weeks he would be only dizzy from using it too much.

Argen asked Ofself if he knew which was hotter his blue flames or lightning which the spearman replied with the Signature grin.

It has been hours since they packed camp to move deeper into the mountains to see a stream. From there they followed it upstream seeing a carp from time to time jumping over the small falls to then see the stream stretch wider and wider to accommodate Eastern flood dragons as Ofself called them. There were multiples of them. The serpentine dragons. Some were the size of a boa while the others were the size of a whale. The smaller ones snapped at one another until one of the larger ones had picked up one of them like a mother pulling a child away from a fight that was about to start. It was funny to see such large beings acting so animated.

After hours of climbing to the top of the mountain they had settled by one of its caves as they dried their clothes by a newly made bonfire from there Argen had noticed some key differences about Hilda. One of them was wearing a lot more revealing clothing. The only parts that were covered by the small article of clothes, if one could call them, were her chest and groin and by the Gods she was top heavy. Argen was burning up as his scales were releasing steam; it didn't help him since Hilda decided to embrace him as soon as the steam showed up.

Ofself was cackling a storm as he went out to hunt some boars for dinner. Argen and Hilda were left to their own devices as they sat there around the bonfire in silence for what seemed to be hours until Hilda made the move to embrace his arm gently tugging it garnering Argen's attention. The male Half-dragon saw Hilda's determined face, the kind she wore whenever she wanted things done her way. Argen had seen this face a few times. One such occasion was during the deals of him expanding from his Spontaneous Burn skill the other was when Ofself tried to cheat on the servings for the Elk Argen had cooked.

"Argen." Hilda said with a low whisper." You're warm."

He nodded in response.

"You're an idiot. You're reckless! A total Dumbass that disregards your own safety and other people's feelings about you getting hurt!" Hilda squeezed Argen's arm as she continued berating him.

"You always look so sad even when you fucking smile! What's with that shit?! You never complain even though we beat the crap out of you as a form of training. You always fucking forgive us. Always forgiving me.." Hilda's voice cracked she wanted to know why the fuck he hated himself." Why do you hate yourself so much? What the fuck happened to you to be this broken!? You get angry sometimes, yes but you never hold grudges. You'd later just say sorry even if it wasn't even your fucking fault! You've been hurting for far too long. You kept sobbing in your sleep."

"I can't just leave you hurting. I can't just pretend everything's fine. I can't." Hilda pulled Argen into an embrace as she sobbed into his shoulder." I can't, especially how I feel about you. Not when you're the only other safe place I found. I felt so alone even with my Father by my side. I was too different from the others around me. Sure, Asphetheir doesn't discriminate. Sure, you can say I have everything you didn't but I was alone too. I thought I was alone. So, please just tell me, even just a little. Let me in. I want to help you. I want to be there for you."

Argen was heating up not enough to burn Hilda but enough to warm her. As he simply patted her head and rubbed her back.

"Okay," Argen whispered." I'll let you in."

Argen began to retell his life. From his first twenty years in his village, the thirty years in isolation, the twenty years he had spent with his master. He would often focus more on his later years with Vein being his surrogate father made things better for him. He told him of the Bombagoose, the explosive scale dropping and loud as fuck wyvern that chased his ass to Asphetheir.

They shared some laughs and funny memories. Hilda shared her Father's stupidity such as trying to flip one on the land drakes he had over failing as the animals would just smack his face.

It was a heartwarming evening until Ofself came in and made it a wholesome evening.

The next day Argen had woken up to a familiar sight of Hilda embracing him in his sleep. He moved his body to embrace her back. Hilda muttered an I ru you to him as he pressed his forehead on hers.

A smug smile adorned Ofself's face as they prepared for Argen's next course on his training.
