Meeting the family

Wang opened the door for John when the car pulled up in front of the house. He arranged for a team to stay with John overnight. The driver called Wang that they're coming so he knew when to expect him.

As the head of security for the Wu family, he has a lot of men that he can dispatch when needed. His main priority is Henry but he also makes sure that the rest of his family is properly taken care of.

"How is she?" John asks as soon as he was in front of Wang.

"Slept through the night without issues so I'm guessing she'll be just fine." Wang responds.

John's phone rings and he picks it up, it's from Dirk, he's currently Lina's mom security.

"What's up Dirk?" John answers.

"We're on our way to you, meet us at the entrance." Dirk responds shortly and hangs up.

John was left feeling confused over the conversation he just had. "What is it?" Wang curiously asked.

John just shrugs and say, "Nothing, I think I got a wrong report on where my team members are. Dirk is coming with the back-up team. They should be here soon."

Wang and John together with Sam were stationed together in the same base during their times in the military. They also went to quite a few tough missions together. They have saved each other's lives on different situations so they have a strong bond even without being in touch for years.

They were heading inside the house when an SUV pulled up in front of the door.

John not knowing who they are followed Wang back to the entrance but before they reach, 4 people came out of the big black car heading towards the front door.

"Don't you think it's too early to be bothering your son?" they hear Wu Juan Li ask his wife. Dressed in his usual casual outfit of white polo, black slacks and plain black sneakers, you wouldn't think he is the current CEO of Wu Corporation. Founded by his father and started as a construction material supplier, his father expanded to being a developer and by the time he took over, he has lead the whole company to be the top real estate developer in Seiliu and expanded to major overseas projects.

"I told you, I need to see him, mom and I had a dream about him! It's the sign I have been waiting for!" Grace responds to her husband. Mrs Grace led her husband towards their son's house wearing a pink polo shirt that matches her husbands and cropped length khaki pants and flat shoes. They have reached where Wang and John are waiting. "Good morning Wang, where is Henry?"

Butler Li is already behind Wang and John, ready to welcome Henry's parents and grandparents.

"Li Qiang, where's the tea?' Wu Jianyu asks Butler Li while assisting Mrs Sophia. "Master and Madam Wu, the tea is ready in the living room." he responds, smiling at the sweet old couple.

Even after 54 years of marriage, Grandpa Jianyu is still very sweet towards Mrs Sophia. They have met and fallen in love at a time where Granpa Jianyu's family didn't allow him to marry a person that they haven't chosen for him, especially a foreigner. But both of them have sacrificed so much and persevered through the adversities and have lived happily in love from then until now.

Butler Li and Mrs Liu are always ready to accommodate the Madam and Master's needs. They like to drop by every now and again on Henry's house to check on him.

Butler Li actually started working for Mr Juan Li to look after Wu Henry when he was barely in his teens. When Henry moved out of the family mansion, he went with him to handle his household.

Mrs Liu was with Grandpa Jianyu and Grandma Sophia. The old couple were worried when at the time, the 18 year old Henry decided to move out of the family house to start a business and wanted to live on his own. As a compromise to his family, he agreed to take in Mrs Liu and Butler Li to make sure he will be okay.

Wu Grace asked Wang again, smiling at John.

"Who is he? Is he new?"

"Uhhhh, he is with..."

Ding Dong! Ding Dong! The gate entrance camera chimes, interrupting their conversation.

At the same time, John's phone rang, its Dirk again.

"Hello?"

"John, open the gate. We're at the entrance."

Bewildered by what Dirk meant because they are supposed to go straight to the hotel. He went to the nearby entrance camera that Wang went to check and saw Dirk standing outside the car with Lina's mom and twin sisters.

Panicked, he tells Wang to let them in quickly and ran towards the gate.

Grace looks at Wang, "What is that all about?"

"Nothing Mrs Wu, Mr Wu, please head inside, I will call Sir Henry now." Wang said to try and appease Mrs Wu but that didn't work. Mrs Wu is a very curious lady, Grandma Wu saw what happened so she followed out as well leaving Mr Wu to follow his father in the living room.

It is indeed too early; the men need tea.

John runs towards the front door where the car is approaching from the main gate. The car stopped before it reached the door entrance and Maria Chua steps out with her twin children, Senna and Jia.

"Good morning John, we're you sleeping? Sorry to bother you. Sam told me where to find you and Nana. Where's Nana?" Maria asked while heading towards the door. Tanned and petite, wearing a pale-yellow colored simple dress and her usual wedge heels, you wouldn't think that this lady is a force to be reckoned with when she sets her mind to something. She's followed by her twin 14-year-old daughters wearing matching luxury branded tracksuits.

"I'm hungry". Senna complains while Jia admires the house, "I like this house!"

Wang and John are flustered by the visitors that came so early. It's barely seven in the morning on a Saturday. What is happening here? They just looked at each other helplessly.

Maria and the twins have reached the entrance by then where the ladies of the Wu family are standing curiously, waiting.

"Good morning, I'm looking for my daughter, is she here?" Maria asks politely but like her usual no nonsense attitude.

Mrs Grace and Grandma Sophia looks at each other and say, "Daughter?"

Then looks towards the 2 men standing guiltily on the side.

Grandma Sophia smiles, and says "Come in, I think I know where we might be able to find her. Come inside."

"Thank you." Maria says in Seilish and follows Grandma Sophia. Mrs Grace follows behind them with the lovely twins next to her. They headed straight up towards Henry's bedroom suite.

The Wu gentlemen, currently enjoying their tea, just observing, watched the group of women head up.

"Butler Li, please prepare food immediately," Mr Wu informs the butler upon hearing the girls say they are hungry on their way up. For now, the father and son enjoy the peace because they feel like they will not have a lot of quiet time after today for some time.

The women have reached Henry's suite doors and grandmother opens the door and heads straight to the bedroom door.

"Madam Wu, why don't we wait for Sir Henry downstairs?" Wang felt the need to do something, an effort to try and stop them so he blocked the door.

"Move!" Grandmother Sophia tells him. At this point, there's really nothing he can do but to move out of the way.

Grandmother smiles towards Maria and push the door open.
