Against medical advise

"I strongly suggest keeping Lina here for another night so we can observe her." Doctor Alex tells Henry.

"And I don't think that's necessary, she doesn't need to be on IV anymore. Her medications are all orally taken, she's got her sling. She can walk properly now and woke up this morning with perfect memory." Henry responds to the doctor who's gotten on his nerves. The doctor kept checking on Lina the whole night even when she's sleeping. Henry doesn't like how the doctor looks at his wife.

"Then you'll have to sign that this is against medical advice." The doctor argued.

"John, please prepare the discharge documents and bring me what needs to be signed." Henry tells John while looking at the doctor.

Everyone in the room can feel the tension between the two. But was broken when Josie opened the bathroom door. Lina came out next, followed by Jenny, holding her IV.

Henry immediately went beside Lina and carried her up to her bed. While Josie fussed over the blankets to cover her legs.

"John will be processing the discharge documents so we should be home in a few hours." Henry tells Lina as he arranged the pillow behind her.

"That's good news." Lina said

"But I think you should stay at least another night, Lina." Doctor Alex, interjected, earning a glare from Henry.

"But I'm okay now, right?" Lina asked

"Yes, but it's still better to stay so we can do more observations and make sure you're fine now."

"I don't like the observations this hospital freely offers." Henry said. "John, please process it quickly."

"Thanks, Doctor, but I think I'm fine now too. It will be better if I stay home and rest there." Lina tells the doctor.

"Okay, if you're sure. You can always call me for any emergency."

Before Lina can respond, "No thank you. Lina will have our family doctor check on her from now on."

"But thank you for the offer Doctor." Lina quickly added with a smile. The doctor walked out with John and Wang to process the document.

"What was that?" Lina asked Henry who's checking on her bandage.

"Nothing. Just discharge procedure. Are you hungry? Let's feed you something." He tells her, changing the subject so blatantly.

"I'm not yet hungry."

"Just have a few bites. This is your last IV bottle; you need to eat more so you can heal quicker." Henry insisted with the spoon already in front of Lina's mouth.

This was how Lina spent the whole of yesterday in the hospital. When John came back with Josie, Henry immediately started feeding her. Small portions, a few times throughout the day. Even when she says no, he finds ways to make sure he eats. And he started carrying her a lot again. When she needs to go to the washroom, he would carry her in and out on the first few hours while Josie or Jenny helped her inside.

Lina is really feeling better now. Except for the fractured clavicle, and the minor scratches and bruises, she's okay. Even her stomach has stopped acting up. She also called her parents already and spoke to her in laws. Assuring every one she is okay and not to bother coming anymore since Henry informed her that they're going back to Miresa soon. Maria, her mother, said she'll meet her there when she comes to check on her.

As Henry offers another bite to Lina, she got to look at him. He's got a smile on his face but he looks so tired. Even last night, he didn't even sleep on the sofa in the room. Or the cot close to the bed, instead he sat next to her on the bed and just laid his head down to sleep. Holding on to Lina's hand the whole night, making sure she doesn't move it around in her sleep. Josie slept comfortably in the sofa while Wang moved to the bench to rest. John, Sam and Jenny went home to sleep since they haven't had any rest the night before due to the shoot and then the accident.

Henry is still very good looking and look so handsome in his navy sweater and black jeans. He changed into that before she slept last night. While Lina is wearing her own pajama dress from home that Josie brought with her.

"You should rest." Lina tells Henry when he decided she has eaten enough for his liking.

"I'll rest when we get home. I'm fine." Henry said as he signed the documents Wang brought with him. And then a nurse came in to remove her IV.

Josie and Jenny just finished packing all their things when John came back with a wheelchair.

"All sorted, we can go."

Henry took the big hooded jacket Wang offered him and wrapped it around Lina's shoulder. He placed a baseball cap on her head pulled down low on her face and over that, he pulled the hood. He then carried Lina to the wheelchair.

"I can walk." Lina said

"I know, but this is quicker." Henry said as her made sure Lina is covered.

"The security guard will assist you in the elevator and will make sure that you go straight down to the basement parking. Sam will be there to wait for you. The four of you go first," John said pointing to Henry, Lina, Wang and Josie. "And I will follow with Jenny with the rest of the things."

"John and I are quite known companions of Lina, if they see us with the wheelchair, someone might start a gossip." Jenny added.

Wang led their group out into the bank of elevators, Henry pushing the wheelchair. The guard is there waiting for them. They got on the next available one and made it down to the basement without issue, Sam waiting for them.

When Lina saw the gate of her house, she took a deep breath, feeling relaxed she's finally home.

Though she never said anything, the accident has left her shaken. They said it's purely an accident, that the weak spot on the rope has been missed and snapped with the friction against the metal guide. And being in the hospital made her feel so weak and helpless. Lina is really glad to be at home where she can be comfortable without worry.
