Chapter 4

Amira heard a knock on her door. She was half asleep and it was 6 PM. She did nothing but sleep as she didn't want to go out of her room. The only times her door was opened was when Nathalie came in. She lazily got up from her bed and opened the door to see Nathalie.

"Miss Amira, the boss said I should get you ready. So we are going shopping" Nathalie said

"Let me clean up then," Amira said then closed the door

Amira was in the car with Nathalie. The driver drove them both to a dress store. She didn't want to enter because it was a dress store.......let me rephrase that, a wedding dress store. She didn't want to get married to Thayer. He was controlling and always wanted things his way.

"Nathalie, did Thayer tell you the particular dress he wanted you to get?" Amira asked

"Umm yes he showed me the picture so I'm here to pick it up and you are here to try it on, let me show you"

"Change of plans. I don't want the dress he picked"

"But he doesn't like it when people go against him"

"You aren't the one putting on the dress" Amira started

True

"I could also get you fired" she continued

Lie

"You do know Thayer loves me right?" she said again

Also lie

"A-alright then miss," Nathalie finally said in defeat

Amira was ready to face Thayer. She wasn't ready to even obey him. If anything, Amira hated being controlled and Thayer was a controlling machine.

Amira took the first dress she saw and felt was pretty and they went to a hair salon.

The next thing Amira knew, they went to a jewelry store and got a necklace and earrings and they went to get her hair done and went home.

She put on the dress unwillingly and wore the jewelry. She hated the thought of her wedding to Thayer and their.......wedding night or if he even liked children. Amira had always dreamed of becoming a mother to show her father it wasn't that hard to love your child but her dreams were shattered. She removed all thoughts from her head and tried to look on the bright side but the truth was, there was no bright side.

She was driven to the wedding hall. She never imagined getting married in the night. She loved sunlight.

When she got in, most of the things were decorated with black with touches of gold.

She walked the aisle. A little girl was trailing behind her with a basket of flowers and was trailing behind her with it.

"Miss Amira Winslow, do you take Mr. Thayer Octavian to be your lovely wedded husband in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth till death do you apart?" The priest asked Amira

"I do" She replied

"Mr. Thayer Octavanm do you take Miss Amira Winslow to be your lovely wedded wife?" The priest asked Thayer

"I do" He replied.

"If anyone here has a reason why the two of them cannot get married, speak now or forever hold your peace," the priest said

A lady in black stood up. She had a veil covering her face. She looked at Thayer and glared, she and Thayer exchanged death stares. she looked a lot like the blonde from the bar. At the time, the whole hall was dead silent and everyone was expecting her to say something but she just turned around and left. Amira could tell there was bad blood between them. Thayer looked at Amira again and the priest said, "Since there is no one, you may kiss the bride"

Thayer was about to kiss Amira when she covered her lips and said, "you can't kiss me..... I mean, I have a cold and you may get infected with it"

"Don't be stubborn doll, now isn't the time" Thayer said quietly but loud enough for Amira to hear him and her hands dropped.

He was pocketing. He used one hand to hold her waist and Amira put her arms around his neck and their lips touched. It just felt right but too good to be true.

Thayer and Amira were in the car on their way to a hotel in Los Angeles. Amira didn't want to look at Thayer she was looking outside the car window. As usual, she was thinking of everything going on around her. She wished it was all a dream and her mother would just wake her up or Thayer would say it was all a prank.

"Why didn't you wear the black wedding dress?" Thayer asked Amira

"Because I didn't want to?" Amira replied

Thayer held her face up to look at him.

"Look at me Amira, do I look like a joke to you"

Amira could only shake her head in response because words weren't coming out of her.

"Listen, whatever I tell you to do, you have to do it even if you don't like it. It's not your choice. Do not try to test my patience Amira, you don't want to see my bad side" Thayer said and threw her face

"I hate you!! You're just a monster without feelings" Amira glared at him

"I've heard worse princess. You can't hurt me, you have death stares and I have death weapons"

'So there's a side worst than this, wow maiac' Amira said, in her head of course

Amira and Thayer arrived at the hotel. Amira prepared herself mentally for their wedding night.

When they got to the hotel, a doorman carried their luggage to their room.

Amira sat on a chair to wait for Thayer as he wasn't in the room yet. She ended up falling asleep on the chair.
