Chapter 2

Amira got home and the first thing she did was take a shower and brush her teeth because the stranger kissed her.

She didn't even know his name!

One day, Amira went home from work to see her living room flooded with letters.

Each of the letters read I know where you live....meet me at 71Above restaurant.....be there, If you don't show up, consequences await.

Amira knew who it was and she knew he could be very dangerous so she decided to go.

'What a jerk." Amira thought.

She wore the first thing she saw and headed to the restaurant.

She entered the restaurant and a guy led her to a table.

The restaurant was empty though, weird.

She sat at the table and read through the menu while checking her account balance.

'What should I order? All the stuff here is so expensive, one thing would drain my account balance.......even bottled water' Amira contemplated in her head.

"Oh, you showed up miss Winslow?" A thick voice said from behind

It was the guy that invited her to the party.

"Did I have a choice?" Amira said coldly

"My introduction the first time we met wasn't the best" the guy sat down

"You think?" Amira asked sarcastically

"So I decided to introduce myself properly to my future wife"

"I never agreed to marry you"

"Like you said it's not your choice"

"Can you explain why? I probably knew you from college and rejected you but it doesn't mean because you're richer, I'd just marry you"

"Do I look like a joke to you Tamika?"

"It's Amira"

"Yeah yeah, Amara. You are a collateral wife"

"Explain how I'm indebted to you exactly"

"Your father is out there somewhere with my money and he used you and your house as collateral so I'm here to take what is mine, which is you. I'm also taking your house"

"But the house is my mom's"

"Your father didn't give the house to anyone so I'm sure it's mine now. Put this on" The guy flung a ring at her, got up, and was walking away

Amira took a moment to process everything the guy said.

'Her father was a good for nothing, selfish, backstabbing idiot' Amira thought

'You can do this Amira, you can get married to him, you've been through worse' She finally decided.

She put on the ring

"Wait," Amira said getting up

"What now Mira?"

"Well, we are getting married aren't we?"

The guy turned around and went closer to her.

He pinned her to the table and whispered in her ears, "yes we are and what can I help you with dollface?"

"I-I d-don't know y-your name yet"

'Shit Amira you're stammering' She said to herself

"It's Thayer Octavian dollface" He whispered in her ears, once again, he effortlessly made her lose all her six senses and reasoning.

'If this is the man I'm getting married to, he's really something.' Amira thought

'Who even kisses on their first meeting?' Amira asked in her head

"Umm you can let go now"

"And if I don't want to?"

"Geez, Octavian take a break we're not even married yet," Amira said before trying to push him away but he kissed her.

Her knees fell weak, so she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back.

She wished he didn't make her feel vulnerable to him all the time.

Their tongues play with each other.

Amira was lost in lust.

Thayer undid her zipper. Amira realized they were about to go far and they were in a restaurant so she pushed him away and did her zipper.

"We are in a restaurant Octavian, someone could see us"

"I rented this place out"

'Way to show off.'  Amira said in her head

"Give me your phone," Amira said commanding

"You don't command me, I make the orders" Thayer said coldly

"Sorry Octavian but I have a movie to watch and you're wasting my time so give me your phone"

Thayer gave in and gave her the phone.

She typed her number on his dial pad and gave it to him.

"Here's my number. Save it as whatever you want, let me go Octavian Amira said handing him back his phone

"What do I need it for?" Thayer asked coldly

"Stop leaving creepy messages at my house, please it's draining, just call me," amira said before attempting to walk away but Thayer pulled her back.

"What do you want?"

"When are we getting married?"

"I don't have a say so let me go Octavian"

Thayer released her and amira said as she walked away, "get a grip Octavian".

When Amira was out of sight, a guy walked to Thayer's table.

It was Nathan, Thayer

"That woman you're marrying is something" Nathan said

"That's Patrick's daughter" Xylan replied coldly

"She's a fine wine compared to her father honestly"

"Yeah, but it's just a business deal"

"I saw how you looked at her before kissing her"

"When you're about to kiss someone, you'd be looking at the person"

"Thats not an excuse Thay"

"Sounds like one to me"

"But marriage bro?"

"What happened to me getting married?"

"I mean, your wife seems difficult"

"She is but I would make her submit to me"

"Typical Thay"

"Do you have drinks here"

"Yes but you shouldn't be drinking"

"Are you telling me what to do?"

"Geez, I'm leaving"

Thayer said then drove to a bar.
