Rise could not be bothered to explain himself, it was good enough that the people involved knew what he was talking about.
Again, Zarilan showed another expression. The old clan leader looked more embarrassed now. It was not only him, but even the elders with him. They knew that their stares could not possibly be hidden from the man himself.
"Well," Zarilan simply scratched his beard under everyone's gaze and poured on him, the most intense coming from his son, Rise, and also Kamille.
"...we don't know you in the truest sense." Zarilan pondered, and Rise could tell that the old man was having a hard time articulating or revealing what was on his mind.
There might be more involved to it, which could not be casually talked about.
