Rescue

Rod and Tobias were delighted to see the terrorist being distracted by other individuals. So Rod and Tobias thought of escaping but found it hard because their foe had guards and snipers safeguarding every place they wanted to explore, being heavily armed. Even though Rod and Tobias were armed, they were only the two of them against, all of them varying from fifteen to hundreds. Tobias and Rod were already depleted and tired of running around escaping. Rod and Tobias loathe being shot at by mediocre individuals who have given up, chosen death, and betrayed the country they swore to protect.

“I am glad we are not getting shot at. I was getting exhausted from everyone shooting at us.” That was what Tobias had said to Rod. “I agree with you; running around these f*ckers was becoming frustrating. They are irritating.” We must take advantage of this opportunity to figure out how to sneak up and put these guards to sleep or eliminate them without being noticed.

Rod and Tobias forgot they could create a bomb but concentrated on killing their adversaries and escaping the enemy's hideout. Rod and Tobias must produce a bomb that will destroy a room full of people without annihilating themselves. Rod and Tobias will need to find materials to create the bomb. The first item Rod and Tobias needed was a long pipe light enough to place or throw easily. The other ingredients they needed to find were nails and ball bearings or something closely resembling ball bearings.

Rod went on the search on his own because Tobias kept dazing off. Rod did not want to risk their life if they could evade getting detected by the terrorists. Rod’s specialty has always been to scout the area without being seen by the adversaries. Rod would always report his findings to the unit. Rod left Tobias in a safe space where it would be problematic to find him if the enemy searched. The adversaries would have only found Tobias if they had searched well to find him. Rod noticed when they were running which guard he could easily distract or would have difficulty annihilating. Rod is tired of massacring and seeing blood on his attire.

Rod and Tobias's mental health was getting affected little by little because they were exterminating their enemies as their only option when they saw they would not be given any leniency. Rod and Tobias were obliterating their adversaries without empathy but with apathy. It would not be until years later that Rod would become an abusive husband to his wife, Scarlett Noelle Cross, and children. It was not just the slaying that impacted Rod; It was also how everyone wanted to sleep with his mom for being incredibly beautiful. What disarrayed Rod mentally was seeing his father, who was well respected, in a hospital bed, fatally injured, close to death, all disfigured.

Rod is a man of focus; he tries not to pay attention to anything unless crucial to his assigned mission. Rod completes his task even if they injure him and close to death because he chose to join the military. Rod wants to protect the innocent people who are not part of the brutality and who fear seeing people die, seeing blood, or seeing young children picking up weapons to cause harm to others.

Even though Rod was looking for the ingredients to make his bomb, Rod recognized the ongoing fight with the enemy. Rod was happy that his unit was fighting the enemies to rescue them from this hell hole they were in. Rod got stabbed in the back by a man he recognized as a traitor working with the terrorists. Rod identifies the man as Albert, who he saw die with his own eyes. I am hallucinating, or is Albert really in front of me?

I witnessed you perish on that day; how are you even alive? Why are you here wearing the adversaries' uniform?

You witnessed me perish? What do you remember about that night that made you believe I died? If I remember correctly, who arrived after an explosive bomb went off and saw a dead body on the ground? Also, did you forget my specialty was getting close to someone, making them trust me, and being a master of disguise?

Rod's unit is fighting to survive to rescue them. When Rod was done talking, gunshots were heard from the distance. Smokescreens got thrown in Rod's direction, and since it fogged up the area, his team used this opportunity to carry him since he got poorly wounded, and if he lost more blood, it could kill him.

"Rod, where is Tobias?" We need to get him so we can all leave as a team. We do not leave teammates since they are family. Rod told them he would advise when to stop since he left Tobias in a secure area.

"Stop." Open the door, turn right, and walk until you see a door with blood on the doorknob. Once you open the door, turn left, and we will find Tobias under a desk resting since he has lost a lot of blood. It's a miracle we have not perished yet. I thank God for keeping us safe. Unfortunately, they didn't see Tobias's body when they reached their destination, where Tobias was supposed to be resting.

When Rod searched for ingredients for the bomb, Tobias felt Rod would be in danger, so he searched for him. Tobias reacted to how Rod did when he saw Albert. Tobias was the first to see him, and unlike Rod, Tobias drew his pistol to kill him. Tobias is less about words and more about action. Because for Tobias to see Albert alive, he knew it was a plan he and Rod were not involved in, or Albert was an enemy who pretended to be a good guy to get information from the government.

Albert stabbed Tobias in the chest; if the knife had been a little higher, it could have pierced his heart. However, as Tobias was losing blood, Albert stopped Tobias's heart to make it seem like he killed his enemy. Albert saved Tobias's life and carried his body outside to get rescued by his team, who entered the enemy's base, knowing that the outcome would not be in their best favor.

The team with Rod got a call saying Tobias was outside. Once they heard Tobias was safe and sound and out of the fortress, they left the room and threw more smokescreens so the enemies could not see them. After they made it outside, they set bombs outside The Syndicate of Invisibility fortress to blow it up. Once, the helicopter came in to take them back to their base. The unit informed Rod and Tobias' family about their sons' conditions, stating they were alive but needed medical care and how they detonated a bomb to go off.
