Chapter – 14: Second Ninja War Begins

After the small episode with Obito, it was still noon, but I had enough of the brats for the day. So instead, I went back to my place and started my chakra control exercise early.

When my chakra started growing, the space inside the Origin space seems to have expanded a bit. Although not much, it was enough for me to set up this training ground for myself. Since then, I have moved my practice sessions also to inside the space.

Just to make sure I don't have to lie to any unexpected visitors where I was, I tried setting up a new task to keep the scanner up that would notify me when someone comes close. But now that I am inside the space, it won't work. But with the help of the subroutine, it was able to scan the surroundings of the artifact when it was outside. As for how the artifact looks, I change it every day. Currently, I have disguised it to look like a common toy.

It's almost the end of Year 52. Two months ago the Second Ninja War officially started. As expected Ame was selected as the battlefield. The three students of the Third Hokage, Hizuren Sarutobi, themselves are heading the battlefronts against Iwa, Suna, and Ame. Hizuren himself is holding the fort at Konoha and preparing to quickly respond if Kumo or Kiri tries something funny.

'I bet that sewer rat is definitely planning to make the war more chaotic,' I grin.

Because of the war, there have been too many injured shinobi seeking treatments. That has made my job a lot easier. Also, both Hizuren and Danzo are too busy to give attention to a child running around with medical-nin.

So, I decided to stock up as many samples as possible and I am not just thinking about the Uchiha. Although there are no Senju or Uzumaki that I can easily take samples from in the village, there are still the Hyuuga. I even visited the Konoha hospital to try my luck. And my luck seems to have increased a bit too, I was able to get samples from three Hyuuga branch clan members.

I have made many "friends" among the medical ninja. One day I tag along with a big sister medical-nin, the next day a big brother, and the following the day an aunt.

'So, the war is very profitable for me. I might in incite one myself in the future,' I snicker.

The war isn't just all fun, even for me. Three months ago when the skirmishes started, the Clan decided that everyone, even the children who haven't yet started at the academy too, should start learning Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. So, those were also added to my already full schedule.

Inside the Origin Space, I look at the filled rows of blood samples I have collected and grin ear to ear. I just last two months, I have collected twenty-three Uchiha blood samples and eleven Hyuuga blood samples.

'Even from all these, I have only collected twenty-one (Includes the genes I have activated myself) active mutated genes,' I frown, 'The last six are surprisingly hard to find! Do I need to find someone with Mangekyo?'

One more thing is, I haven't collected blood samples from anyone who has any impact on the canon. I still remember what Sophos said. All actions incite Karma. What would happen if just me taking their blood, due to some bullshit butterfly effect, blows everything up? Even though I might want to change some events from canon in the future, I still want to be in control of the change.

That has been the reason why I didn't touch Obito. But it seems I must take some risks.

'No alert from A. I chip, so I am still rational. So, how should I do it? Obito doesn't even have a Sharingan, would his blood be of any help? Fugaku, Mikoto, Shisui's parents are too strong for me to meddle, what to do?' I ponder.

In front of me on the table is a document which surprisingly written in a language that is not of this world. Of course, I would use English to write down my notes.

Although I won't need to do so with the A. I chip, I still found it helpful if I note down my thoughts. Many of the small details escape you if you don't put your thoughts on paper.

On the paper,

'Progress report on the goals for Year 52,'

'It has been another productive year for my research.'

'Collection of active Uchiha genes has been progressing well. I am currently in possession of twenty-one of the total twenty-seven genes. However, the progress on collecting the last six genes has been tough. Among the last ten test samples, only one new gene was found. New plan of action needed.'

'On Project Parasite, I have been able to create the subroutine Parasite. Have to be physically present and the subject has to be incapacitated first. Tests have to be made to verify wireless communication and self-destruction setups. Only the Ghost mode has been implemented currently, will need to work on Partial and Full control modes. According to A. I chips analysis, no being of this world should be able to detect the parasite, but tests need to be made to confirm this theory. Hopefully, Parasites should be available for deployment by next year.'

'Completed learning the local language, have to begin research on seals shortly.'
