chapter 63. Ivan Vanko Dies

Jack and Tony kept firing attacks at Ivan as he kept dodging them, at times Ivan would be hit and other times Jack or Tony would be hit.

This kept on for some time before Jack was a little fed up and decided it was time to end this.

The energy field or electrical field around Ivan was too strong for him to ignore but he didn't want to take any chances with the civilians even though he took care of any stray metallic bots parts,

In case any was left behind, Ivan might use that to hurt people.

"Tony!"

"Yes, Green pea! can't you see I am busy up here." - said Tony as ge dodged out of harm's way.

"Find a way to get rid of the field around his armour." - Said Jack.

"What do you think I have been trying to do for the past five minutes." - Yelled Tony as he was blasted down.

Ivan had a good shot on Tony, fortunately, he was picked up by Jack dodged the attack.

"There is a way, but I will be down if I use it." - said Tony as he looked Blitz in the eyes.

Blitz also stood up and got ready to launch a promising punch, his punches had been ineffective as the electric field around Ivan Vanko was too strong, using too much strength might have backfired as they were still inside.

Tony fired up his reactor and delivered a powerful blast as Ivan used his hands to protect himself. It was only a gesture as the powerful force field around him took the full brunt of the attack.

*Crack Crack*

"Do it now!!" - shouted Tony as he started falling from the sky.

Jack immediately channelled One For All to 40 percent in his body and arrived in front of Ivan and punched him into the ground.

A defeaning booming sound was released as the air current swept everything back. Tony ended up avoiding the fall damage as he too flew away from the after-effects of the impact.

The fact was, Jack himself was blown away.

When everything calmed down, Jack stood up again as he looked at his gauntlet and let out a sigh.

'Can take on 100 percent my ass' cursed Jack as he ripped off the broken gauntlet.

He made his way to the site of destruction and looked around for Ivan. He finally found him buried in the ground.

"Ughhh" a low sound was emitting from Ivans body who was too beaten up to speak.

He looked at Jack and said

"You...are a monster!!" - said Ivan before he lost his breath.

'Compliment accepted.' - thought Jack as he turned away, Jack quickly searched for Tony before he finally saw him lying comically in the garbage dump.

"Doing fine?" - asked Jack.

"Yeah, look! someone threw away a perfectly good can of Dr. Pepper." - Tony said as he showed Jack the can.

"Sigh, let me get you out of there."

"Yes, the pleasure is all yours."

Jack reached in pulled out the armour-clad Tony out before ripping apart the armour. Tony was finally free and quickly made way for the auditorium, he wanted to make sure that Pepper was okay.

Jack gave him a princess ride and then went back and stored the Iron man suit in his bag in case someone were to steal it.

"Thanks, Blitz." - Pepper thanked Blitz as she took care of Tony who was changing his Arc reactor to a newer one.

"Don't mention it." - said Jack as he ran away top speed before coming back as Cedric.

"Ha! you just missed him, green pea ran away, are you two really related." - asked Tony as he pressed on his wounds.

Jack took out a potion and handed it over to Tony who chugged it down and healed at a visible rate.

It was then that Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow came as well, she was surprised when she saw Cedric but quickly made sure that Tony was fine, She then put her attention on Jack who was posing as Cedric.

"Mr. Cedric, I believe we have a lot to talk about considering Tony has already told you about us."

"Yeah, I already knew that, Tony doesn't need to tell me anything about you and SHIELD, What does the best intelligence organization have to talk to me about." - asked Jack, already knowing full well about the Avengers Initiative.

What he didn't know yet was how SHIELD thought he was part of a secret wizard community, partly they were right as he had a connection with the Mystic Arts.

"Hmmm, we can talk later, as you can see, Mr. Stark is very injured and I have to take him for treatment." - said Jack, as he took Tony and Pepper and they flew away on the magic carpet.

Natasha was left dealing with the aftermath, while Pepper was dealing with the fact that the secretary she hired was a part of SHIELD, a spy organization.

On the way, Pepper asked Tony about many things such as where he was for the past few days and stuff. Tony answered all of Peppers questions before he shifted his attention to Jack. Jack was staring ahead with an absent-minded look on his face.

"What's got you so worried, we just defeated a bad guy." - said Tony, He wouldn't admit but both the New York heroes were growing on him.

He felt alive and well when he talked to them, he didn't want to see any of his family sad, that being said, he had already given Jarvis orders to send the newly made War machine Armor, a gift for Rhodes who has been saving his ass for so long.

"Chill man, we should party and celebrate, tell you what, You call Green pea over and we are gonna have a sleepover and share our hero experiences, how about it." - Tony said as he took out a whiskey bottle from his magic pouch and drank from it.

"Tony.....its not just that." - Said Jack,

he turned around and looked at Tony, he didn't know how to say it, for he had no proof other than that he just knew it.

He wanted Stark to know about Hydra and not to Trust SHIELD with too much, though he didn't know that due to his actions, Stark wasn't as dependent on shield as he thought.
