Chapter 7: Peril Intensifies

The survivors clambered onto the iceberg one after another, while some floated on lifeboats adrift in the sea. The Titanic's sinking was an irrefutable reality; Godzilla couldn't continuously support the heavily damaged cruise ship.

After Arthur's valiant rescue efforts, his body was drenched, and the cold sea breeze felt piercing. Unlike Arthur, the others lacked Atlantean physiology. Shivering and pale, those who had fallen into the water struggled even after reaching the iceberg. Some had succumbed to the frigid waters, their survival prospects uncertain.

With no other recourse, Arthur gestured for Godzilla to use his atomic breath to provide warmth. "All of you, leave," Arthur commanded after ensuring the survivors' safety. Standing on Godzilla's dorsal fin, he connected with the sea creatures through telepathy. As they regained awareness, the marine creatures dispersed into the sea.

"Can I let go now?" Godzilla's heartfelt query echoed.

After a brief spell of unconsciousness, Arthur's heightened senses allowed him to perceive the movements aboard the cruise ship. "Hold on, I'll retrieve the people," Arthur conveyed mentally before taking swift action.

In a sprint, Arthur leaped, shattered the glass, and entered the interior of the ship. Chaos reigned inside, and Arthur realized that some passengers were more concerned about collecting their possessions than their own lives.

Frowning, Arthur slammed his trident on the ground. "What are you doing? Hurry and seek refuge on the iceberg!"

Yet, amidst the chaos, some passengers fixated on personal belongings. One man lamented, "My luggage is still below," while another woman fretted, "My jewelry is precious to me."

Observing the selfishness around him, Arthur felt an urge to intervene forcefully. "Who are these people?" he wondered, prioritizing the rescue of those truly in need.

Ignoring the greedy and self-centered individuals, Arthur heard a distress call from a cabin below. Rushing through the ship, he encountered crew members aiding in the rescue efforts. "Their quality is commendable," Arthur remarked.

At a locked corridor, Arthur found several survivors pleading for help. With bare hands, he tore the door off, guiding them to safety and pointing towards assistance.

Ignoring the materialistic passengers, Arthur heard cries for help in a submerged section of the ship. He navigated through the flooded areas, locating survivors trapped within.

Rescuing a comatose woman and two children, Arthur maneuvered towards the deck and exited the ship. On his way out, he noticed some passengers still focused on possessions rather than their lives.

Godzilla, observing the trivial movements, impatiently expelled air through his nostrils. "Now, place the ship on the iceberg," Arthur commanded.

A recently rescued man, Tom, confronted Arthur, ignorant of Godzilla's presence and Arthur's heroic deeds. Tom attempted to seize Arthur's trident, displaying greed in his eyes.

Disregarding Tom's demands, Arthur placed the unconscious woman and children down and advanced towards Tom. The crew intervened, cautioning Tom against causing trouble.

But Tom persisted, drawing a revolver from his pocket, aiming to intimidate Arthur. In a swift move, Arthur deftly deformed the revolver and approached Tom.

Before Tom could act, Arthur disarmed him effortlessly, sending Tom flying into the ocean. The crew members watched in awe and admiration at Arthur's prowess.

Arthur commanded everyone to relocate to the iceberg or face the fate of the sinking ship. Terrified, the survivors complied, acknowledging the strength Arthur wielded in this dire situation.

After ensuring everyone's relocation, Arthur communicated with Godzilla telepathically. "Thank you for assisting in the rescue and taking the ship away."

"You're welcome, brother," Godzilla replied, dragging the Titanic far away to prevent the iceberg from breaking under its weight.

Gathered on the iceberg, the survivors witnessed Godzilla's action, bewildered and uncertain. Captain Smith intervened, attempting to calm the agitated crowd.

Among these survivors, true human nature began to reveal itself in the face of impending danger...
