Chapter 66 Heartless
“Why are you looking at me like that? Just eat your food” Christy told Paul.
“Is she really this heartless?” Paul was thinking in his heart while opening his mouth for Christy to feed him
“Why is he looking at me like that?” She ask within her, not speaking out this time.
“I hope she knows how much I miss her,” Paul was still speaking with his mind while his eyes were fix on her.
“Why is this food not finishing so I can leave this place?, Christy murmured because is like Paul is beginning to spellbound her with his eyes.
Her heart has started beating for him, she didn’t know if is out of pity because Paul looks like someone who is about to die of wanting her.
As the food was about to finished, Christy thought she heard something like “please am begging you” but pretend not to hear.
She got up to leave and Paul held her.
“Don’t do this to me, am begging you” he got up to face Christy, he touched her face but Christy didn’t refuse this time.
She was thinking about what Bridget told her, maybe she could give it a try but it still seems wrong to her.
Is like she is taking someone else’s man and that didn’t seem right to her.
“I love you Christy and I will never leave you no matter what” he kiss her but she didn’t move so Paul thought, “this is it, I can make my move now.”
Before long they are both on the couch kissing like mad, with Paul touching every inch of Christy making her moan because she has been waiting for this for a very long time.
Both of them were on fire for each other, they had it for a very long time before they came back to earth.
Paul was breathing heavily and his heart still beating fast he never thought it will happen.
“Thank you Christy,” he hug her so tight and Christy felt at home.
“Thank you too” she said smiling at him for the first time since they came to the house.
They were still on the couch wearing nothing when a knock came on the door.
“Hurry, put on your things and go to my room.”
“But why your room?” Christy ask.
“Just do”
“Ok,” Christy ran into Paul’s room and close the door. While Paul put on his clothes and went to open the door.
“Heyyy… dude how are you doing.”
“What is wrong with you? Do you have to sneak up on me like that? Can’t you just call?” Paul shouted at James.
“Hey..hey… calm down will you? Are you not happy to see me? Or maybe you are doing some bad things, you this bad guy, I don’t trust you.”
“Will you bring down your voice and come inside?.” Paul ordered him.
“Why are you mad at me? I thought of surprising you”
“Well, you surprised me enough, thank you.”
“I thought you said your sick, I can see that you’re not, your mouth is running like tap water, so no need I can just go back” James threaten.
“That’s not what am saying, I only said you should have called me first”
“And spoil the show?”
“What show?”
“Where is she?”
“Where is who” Paul ask laughing, while Christy could not help but laugh too, because Paul is trying so hard to defend himself, but James won’t take no for an answer.
“Guy, for you to attack me this way it means that you are doing something bad and you know am telling the truth if not what will you be doing at home by this time?, I went to your office and they told me you are sick so I decided to come here, but I see that you are not telling the truth.”
“Guy I was really sick but am ok now, welcome, how is everyone and Patrick how is that guy doing?”
“We are supposed to come here together but he is doing something he will join us tomorrow or next I guess.”
“Wow, that will be fun” Paul was so excited to see his guys again after this years.
“So how about Christy where is she now and the baby?” James want to know.
“They are fine, Christy is inside and my daughter went to school.”
“You are the badest guy” James yells.
“Bring down your voice she is inside” Paul said.
“Wow.. am sorry, but how will Sharon take this?”
“I don’t know, she can make her decision and I will respect it”
“Meaning?”
“Meaning she can divorce me”
“Guy your bad, see what love has done to you”
“What do you want me to do? Something must kill a man” Paul said and they laugh for a very long time making Christy very tired to stay in Paul’s room.
She got up and start looking around, she saw their pictures, Paul and hers, framed and something written on it, she look at it and it was written “best couple”
She saw another one and it was her picture, and the writing on it says “ my heart beat” Christy smile and wonder what she has done to deserve this kind of love, she is not the most beautiful, she is not that intelligent, she didn’t even go to school, so why will Paul love her that much?”
“Heyy… Paul walked into the room and she drops the pictures”
“You like it?” Paul ask.
“I love it,” Christy said smiling
“Am glad you love it” Paul hug her.
“James is here, go in here and take your bath, he pointed to his bathroom, and then you open this Waldrop take any dress from there then you can come out and greet him.”
“Ok, I will be with you guys in a minute.”
“Ok,” Paul kiss her forehead and went back to James.
“Guy, I saw Bridget when I went to the office to look for you, what’s up?”
“She is working there”
“I know she is working, but what’s up?”
“I don’t get you,”
“I need her?”
“Then go get her”
“But you can help me”
“As what?” Paul ask making a face.
“You know what am talking about, guy you are the man, you can make this happen, I know you”
“That is were you get it wrong, Bridget is one hell of a girl, go and try your luck, if it works then fine, if not guy find your level”
“What are you saying, are you trying to tell me that I can’t get her?”
“That is not what am saying…”
Christy walks in and they both stop talking.
“Heyy.. look at you,” James said getting up to met Christy as she walked towards them.
“James how are you?”
“Am not fine”
“Why?”
“You made me worry too much, I’ve gone high and low just looking for you and making my man to suffer. He nearly died.”
“Don’t mind him” Paul cut James off.
“Come and sit down”, he offer Christy a sit.
“What are you eating because you look so beautiful?” James ask Christy.
“Nothing special” they all laugh.
Back in the office Bridget could not stop thinking about James,
“What does he do now? He looks more handsome but that is not what am looking for, I need a guy with money, if he is handsome then it will be added advantage.
I think he likes me, am going to ask Paul what he does before making my moves, I don’t want to waste my efforts on poor handsome guys,” she murmured.
“Heyyy.. a guy pass by her smiling and waving at Bridget, she smiles back at him. All this handsome poor guys, what is he smiling for huh..” Mtcheeeew.
Getting home they were all watching TV but Bridget just walk pass them greeting without waiting for response.
“What is wrong with her?” Christy ask.
“I don’t know” Paul said, “you can go and ask her if you want?” Paul suggested to Christy.
She got up and walk into Bridget room.
“How is your day?” Christy ask.
“Fine, and who is that sitting with you guys?”
“Is James don’t you remember him? His Paul friend.”
“Oh.. James, I think I know him” pretending not to know him.
“There’s food in the kitchen” Christy said and want to leave.
“Hey.. how was your day?” Bridget ask Christy.
“Fine”
“I know is fine, but what about that… you know”
“I said am fine,”
“Ok, because you can’t miss this guy, you need to marry him as soon as possible, and start thinking of how to build your own business and be a madam of your own. You are wasting time Christy, if is me, I would have own a car by now, sit there and be doing love”
“What is wrong with her?” Christy ask but not directly to Bridget.
“I’ve heard you and I will marry him.”
“Yes, yes, yes… that’s my sister, she hug Christy so tight making Christy laugh and thinking why she was so happy for her, maybe she’s change a lot, but Bridget is not the type to change like that, maybe she wants something from this marriage.
